Dr. Kim is a very knowledgeable and respected neurologist.

An amazing Doctor!! Quite while listening to his patients! If a referral is needed, Dr. Kim knows The Very Best!

I went to sleep study, was diagnosed with waking up 30 times an hour,he ordered a cpap machine, it never came, he never returned my phone calls in over a year.

Very concerning and compassionate doctor. If he can help you he will he pulls no punches. I really respect Dr. Kim.

Dr. Kim's appointment was scheduled within a reasonable time and his required testing pinpointed my issues and my need for surgery which he set up with a nearby surgeon. I was very pleased with his skills, knowledge, testing, scheduling, staff and his referral.

I by far love the staff and Dr Kim they listen to my concerns found every thing wrong with me and is helping me along

If I could give LESS than Zero I most definitely would. Check out the Dr. Kim $800,0000 settlement with The US Attorneys office in FL. Don’t get involved with this facility for so many more reasons than just this.

I have been seeing him for about three years did a sleep study found out i have sleep apnea don’t know how bad because never was told the results. Was also told I had fibromyalgia but I did not, I had to have surgery on my neck because my vertebrae causing me all kinds of pain. He did help me with my migraines though.

Dr Kim is an excellent neurologist . He goes above and beyond to verify and treat me. I have narcolepsy and Dr Kim is the only doctor who said there is something more than sleep apnea here. He ordered DNA blood tests and sure enough I have narcolepsy genes. He may not be "Mr Sweet" but he certainly is a professional . I go to a doctor for his ability and knowledge and Dr Kim fulfills my list.

my mom was referred to Dr. Kim for progressive memory impairment. My had seen 3 other neurologists in the past who all blew her off saying nothing can be done. Dr Kim on the other hand was very empathetic with our frustration. He offered very thorough work up & came to conclusion that she had mixed Alzheimer as well as Lewy Body Dementia. My mom got on new Alzheimer med, Aduhelm. Despite all controversy over the medicine, Dr. Kim believed the medicine would help my mom. This, mom received 6 monthly infusions. OMG!! My mom cognition improved dramatically: she is lot more coherent & even hallucinations markedly decreased. I am so thankful to have Dr. Kim as her doctor

Dr. Kim is most kind & compassionate of all neuro docs I have ever met. He also has most credible expertise in all aspects of neurology. I am so blessed to be his patient.

Required numerous tests and all be done at his office. Tried to persuade into doing a sleep study when I was there for foot pain!! Doesn’t like to listen or answer questions! After the strange procedures and getting a feeling that something was off about the dr I did some testing but not all I was told to. They never called with any results. They charge $20 per call to get info!! Then found out dr was charged and plead guilty to federal Medicare charges in July 2021!! Also had numerous malpractice suits settled. Do your homework!! Do not do any sleep studies here wouldn’t be surprised if these people have hidden cameras in bathroom!!! Needs to be shut down!!

Have you heard oa any a male dr that asks patients in front of him to lower your pants or has you bend over a chair for an injection with no female present??? Well this guy does!! Asked about where a nurse was and was told there are none at his office only techs. Instead of lying down when doing an injection he requested for you to lean over on chair and stand up. Will be reporting to the medical board of Fla!! Please be advised not to allow him to do this to you!!

This dr is anti vaxxer and entire facility will not wear a mask even when asked to do so! No Covid protocols in place! Scammed my insurance for many tests before dr would schedule an injection. Dr made me wait several months to come back to do them. Extremely painful and was never told I’d be in pain. Thought I would pass out! Not one bit of relief and in more pain than ever. Have an appt with another neurologist dr. To see what this guy did to me!

Please do not waste your time at this facility. Entire staff is extremely rude, At first I thought well maybe today is just a bad day. Year into being seen at this office nothing has changed. Dr Lance Kim has zero bed side manor. Office will never return your phone calls, once you are able to connect with someone they blow you off. You are not appreciated her at all. They do not care for their patients!!

Top notch neuro expert who is most caring for his patients

This is a review from a couple years ago. I came to Dr Kim just after diagnosis for a rare nuro disease. I had no insurance and was paying cash out of pocket. He was completely disinterested and callous towards my case. He refused to collaborate with other doctors in my team. I think possibly the bulk of his clients are applying for disability or going for sleep studies and maybe he's fine with them, in and out with no relationship or continued care, but if you need ongoing care my suggestion is drive to find another doctor. I know he's the only one in Ocala for certain things ( and so does he) but it's worth the drive to get decent care.

I would highly recommend Dr Kim. I have suffered from constant headaches for over 15 yrs. Seen numerous doctors in every field of medicine with at least 6 neurologists including 2 surgeries with no relief. From Ft Myers to Gainesville and no help. Seen Dr Kim first part of Jan. 2021 and within a week my headaches were gone. Most everything is done on site so no need to run all over town for xrays or MRI's. He is #1 in my book. I do know that you have to be recommended by your doctor to get an appt with him. On my first visit he said to me" there is a reason for this pain and I will get to the bottom of it", and he dam well did within a week. He also entered his information and email into my phone himself and told me to email him with any questions or problems. You will get a response within the hour.

Dr Kim did some tests on me (post stroke care) in Oct of 2020. It was not until Feb 2nd that I was able to get a follow up appt. to discuss the test results. During my Feb 2 appointment, after asking a couple of basic questions, Dr Kim rushed me out of the exam room WITHOUT even mentioning my tests OR giving me a chance to ask questions. I let the front desk know, and they were nice enough to provide someone, (NOT Dr Kim) to go over my test results.

I would have to say Dr. Lance Kim is one of the best doctors I have met throughout my medical journey (a very long one that is) I am now 26 years of age and started seeing Dr. Kim approximately 3 years ago, since then my life has changed dramatically. I experience migraine aura with loss of feeling in limbs, fibromyalgia and other neurological issues that really impact your life, every doctor prior to Dr.Lance Kim brushed it off as anxiety and never took the time Dr.Kim did. I am very skeptical about taking medications but Dr.Kim made sure to order every test needed to make sure his diagnoses were correct and he surely was right, I take Ajovy for Migraines and just recieved a nerve block for my neck which has helped drastically improve the quality of my life before seeing Dr.Kim I was having migraine episodes 3/7 days of the week visually and pain 24/7 (no exaggeration) the whole office staff is amazing from scheduling to billing - they really go the extra mile and make sure you can remain a patient even through troubling insurance times. If you are experiencing any neurological issues do not hesitiate to visit Dr.Kim he is passionate about what he does and will make sure you get the proper help you need. When is it that you see the actual doctor every time you go for a visit? Because this would be my first time with that experience.

Called twice for scheduling, no one returned my call

My mom suffered severe mental status change out of blue. She had been to emergency rooms in two different hospitals. Nobody could figure out what was wrong with her. They kicked around theory about possible stroke etc but all tests came back negative. Then she was seen by Dr. Kim. He reviewed her records with fine tooth comb & found that she was taking wrong dosage of her narcolepsy med, Xyrem. Dr. Kim adjusted & cleaned up complicated med list, and we got our mom back. We are so grateful for Dr. Kim’s expertise & dedication.

Awsome neuro doc. He is so well versed in just about everything in neurology. Highly recommend to anyone, especially with complicated issues

Dr.Kim has helped me a lot, with nerve blocks in my neck and lower back. My sleeping has greatly improved with my sleep apena. I would and do recommend Dr. Kim to my family and friends !

Dr Kim is the BEST Dr I have seen in Florida, and I have lived here for 18 years! Dr Kim is very caring, thorough, and very professional! The staff at "Florida Neurological Center" are always very respectful, efficient a delight to visit, the office is very clean! I do believe I would not be walking today without Dr Kim's detailed care. I recommend Dr Kim to everyone I know, and to you as well!!

Dr. Kim has a nice, clean well kept facility. Office staff was good. It seems that he specializes mainly in sleep disorders. I was referred to him by my primary for a neck problem. I believe that he over tests, refused to let me use my own radiologist for a MRI, but insisted I use the one in his facility. A Medicare money grab? Possibly. At any rate, I will not be seeing him again...but have gone to another neurologist..I do not recommend Dr Kim...

During the Covid-19 pandemic they do not follow the CDC recommendations for infection prevention and control. The doctor and his staff do not even wear face masks! We will not go there any more!

Dr. Kim is probably most knowledgeable and caring doctor I have ever met in my life. I will recommend him to anyone who has any neurological problems especially complicated case as he is a best medical detective.

I have a son who has severe form of epilepsy called Lennox Gastaut Syndrome. He suffers seizures daily as many as 10-20 a day. He also has severe behavioral problems. He had been seen by numerous neurologists, epileptologists, and even psychiatrists. They did the best they could do but eventually got tired of taking care of him given the high maintenance nature of his care. Dr. Kim, however, was always very kind and patient with my son. Dr. Kim & his amazing staff spent so much of their time to get authorization for the new medication for LGS, Epidiolex and finally it got approved. His seizures dropped almost by half which is incredible improvement but most of all his severe behavioral abnormality calmed down dramatically. I am deeply grateful for Dr. Kim's deep compassion for his patients and his amazing staff who are also very dedicated pros.

My husband had been having issues with his left leg going numb. Granted it took a few months to get in, but we were able to. He was very polite and explained to my husband about the NCS and EMG that he would have done. They also were able to get my husband into the sleep clinic quickly.

We finally were told that the referral went out this morning. It took them 10 days to "process" the referral. We called the pharmacy they said they had sent to prescription to and the pharmacy has no record of them calling so we are back to square one - in agony with the pain and frustrated that nothing is being done. I suffer severe headache for whole life & saw numerous doctors & tried every drugs under the sun. But my suffering persisted & pretty much gave up hope. Then I was referred to Dr. Kim by my new PCP. Dr. Kim impressed me so much with his empathy for my years of suffering & pointed reasons why medications might have not worked. He put together totally new regimen including newest CGRP antagonist along with few other meds. I was quite skeptical at first but OMG my headache for the first time began to melt!! I felt like I got my life back. I am so blessed to have Dr. Kim

Told my husband he had Alzheimer’s and in the same breath told him this would be a good time to start working on his “bucket list”. If zero stars were an option, he’d get zero. Dr Kim must have skipped school the day they taught compassion and bedside manner.

As a SURVIVOR of past domestic abuse, unfortunately for most it is a subject NOT spoken about! I have suffered with much pain, including a CONTINUOUS migraine on the right side of my entire head for nearly 20 years! I've tried just about every medicine given to me by previous doctors (not a Neurologist though) I felt comfortable with Dr.Kim to tell him about my past personal issues, he immediately ordered a MRI of my brain and it showed that I previously suffered a FRACTURED skull near the base of my brain that didn't heal correctly, leaving me with Traumatic Brain Injury, or (TBI) He prescribed me with Emgality, monthly injection, and was kind enough to give me "samples" to make sure I hd it while his staff worked dilligently to get the "pre Authorization" that my Insurance company required! The very next day after getting my initial shot from Dr.Kim YaYYYYY!! NO more migraine since!! I also have Peripheral Neuropathy that I knew about but was never given the correct medicine to help!

I have been a patient of Dr. Lance Kim for several years. I suffer from migraines; or I should say “I used to suffer from migraines.” After years of taking several different preventative medications, I was still having unretractable migraines. Dr. Kim was always kind and ready to try a new intervention. This past January 2019, after listening patiently to my litany of pain stories, he calmly said,”I have a present for you.” He proceeded to explain the history of the development of Ajovy and how it works, he gave me my first Ajovy injection. BAM 24 hours later no headache! Now it is nearly May and I have not had one headache. I give myself a Ajovy injection once a month.Easy Peasy! I recommend Dr. Kim because he is flexible and thorough, and although he may seem shy, he is full of positive personality when you draw him out.

Dr. Kim is so kind, respectful, thoughtful, and genuinely care about his patients. He addressed all my concerns fully and thoroughly, never made me feel rushed, educated me well about my condition, and explained all available treatment options for me. One of the best physicians I have ever seen!

Awesome Neuro Doc I have multiple neurological disorders - MS, Migraine, Sleep disorders. I used to see three or more doctors in New York for all these conditions. Since I moved to Florida, I have been seeing Dr. Kim who is board certified in 7 subspecialties & has been treating all of my neuro conditions with latest cutting edge treatments. He is also an excellent teacher & communicator. My overall health is at its best thanks to Dr. Kim

Fantastic doctor! He has seriously changed my life. When other doctors just wanted to pass me off as crazy due to being young & having so many health issues, he dove right in. His diagnoses and treatment plans have been life changing. I am getting back to the old me with proper treatment plan. I will be forever grateful to Dr. Kim. He is straight, to the point, no fluff but he know his stuff. Also, most of his staff I’ve encountered were his patients first and to me, that says a lot!

You will never find a more caring, dedicated, and diligent doctor. He cares about his patients and goes far beyond what a 'normal' doctor would do. I would recommend him to anyone who has a loved one with any Chronic Neurological Disorders. He can give you answers, he is patient, and above all he understand the problems that a family faces.

There isn't enough room to explain the disgust, and shame I feel toward this doctor. This man neglected to give my mother the proper care she needed after running expensive test on her, and failing to inform our family, and supposedly her primary care doctor who I also reviewed on this site; the extent of her health conditions. Dr. Kim was very nasty in explaining my mother's diagnosis to her stating "you have Alzheimer's, but you'll live". We got rid of him immediately.

Due to a brain bleed I had at 3 days old, I (over time) developed a chronic pain condition. Although my pain is difficult to treat, Dr. Kim tried to help give some relief for my chronic pain. For that - I wanted to say thank you.

He is very acknowlable about his profession, he explains your medical problem very well.

I have been seeing Dr. Kim for awhile and feel like he has helped me the most. Like a lot of other people I have seen several doctors in Ocala. I felt like they never listened to a word of what I was saying . Dr. Kim is my saving grace. Without him I would of been all doped up still . I suffered near fatal car accident from being hit by SUV while I walking on street. Despite extensive spine surgeries, I was left with unbearable generalized pain & severe painful muscle spasm despite being on 3~4 heavy pain killers. My GP & pain specialist didn’t know what to do with me. Eventually they just wanted to brush me off. Then I was referred to Dr. Kim who was so attentive & caring unlike the rest. He had different slant & modified my meds. OMG, I feel like getting my life back !!!!!

I am a new patient of Dr. Kim and am very glad that I have found him. He seems truly interested in helping his patients and is very professional. My wife suffered tragic car accident resulting in severe spine injury and rotator cuff tear. She underwent cervical spine fusion as well as rotator cuff injury followed by many months of physical therapy. But she was left was miserable pain not only in her neck & shoulder but literally whole body. She was sent to half a dozen pain doctors who basically were pill pushers which made her so drugged up and incoherent unable to do anything. Then her new PCP referred her to Dr. Lance Kim in Ocala. Saw Dr Kim 6 weeks ago, I am still waiting to find out if he received approval for sleep study.

My sister suffers chronic Migraine & seizure disorders which were very difficult to control. She even underwent brain surgery to control her epilepsy without success. Understandably she ended up with major depression as well. Then she was referred to Dr. Kim by someone at our church. We were most impressed by Dr. Kim who showed tremendous empathy & understanding of her major physical & psychological anguish. Needless to say, his new treatment regimen worked like miracle for my sister.

I have been suffering very severe headache for my whole life. I have seen numerous doctors and tried just about every drugs under the sun. But nothing really worked for me and pretty much gave up hope. Then my new neighbor recommended me to see Headache Specialist, Dr. Lance Kim. Dr. Kim was very kind and understanding of my suffering. He spent lot of time going over my past records and found several medicines that actually headache inducing. He put together new game plan. I have a new life now.

I have been seeing Dr. Kim for the last 8 years for trigeminal neuralgia. My very first visit I realized that Dr Kim was my (Obi Wan Kenobi)! He is always researching for me and offering the newest practices to help me with my pain. I moved from Maryland was looking for a neurologist to continue treatment for my MS. I was very disappointed with couple of Neurologists in Ocala - they seemed to be so out of of touch with the latest advances. Then I found Dr. Lance Kim throug MS society. Dr. Kim was very knowledgeable about the latest treatment options and was very impressive to have sharp insight into my medical conditions. He came up with innovative combo treatments that did wonder for my condition: So grateful for Dr. Kim

I had weird numbness and weakness in my legs. I was originally misdiagnosed as "Neuropathy" by bunch of docs in emergency room and even neurologist. Then I was referred to Dr. Kim. He was so wonderful & spent lot of time going over the record & did thorough examination and detected irregularity in my physical findings. He began suspecting potentially serious problem within Spinal cord. MRI clearly showed spinal cord tumor & underwent emergent surgery. Now I am walking all Thnx to Dr. Kim

He is a doctor that talks to you and LISTENS. He makes you feel like you are dealing with family. He also has wonderful bedside mannerism.

I have been seeing Dr. Kim for over 10 years. I dont understand some of the less than stellar reviews on him. I have nothing but accolades for heroic intervention Dr. Kim did so many times when I was in crisis with myasthenia gravis. He is most gentle spirited & truly dedicated to his patients. Dr. Kim, please dont let anyone who doesnt comprehend your greatness get you down.

Worst experience with a doctor ever. He was rude and would not even look at us when talking. The person who called initially with test results gave us completely different report than the doctor gave us. He actually yelled at my wife. There is much more but I won't go into it all. We will never see him again. My wife has serious deficits from a brain tumor that was removed and he said there was never a brain tumor despite the multiple MRI & CT reports in her records that he has.

I suffer severe headache for all my life and have seen numerous doctors and tried every drug under the sun, but nothing really helped. Then I saw Dr. Kim who is a board certified Headache specialist in Ocala. He felt something odd about my symptoms and suspected increased pressure in my brain. I then underwent lumbar puncture procedure and the pressure in my head was indeed high and got diagnosed with pseudotumor cerebri. My headache finally improved with new meds. I am deeply thankful

My dad was referred to Dr. Kim from a hospital after suffering stroke. Nobody at hospital seemed to know why my dad had stroke or what to expect, which was extremely frustrating. On first visit with Dr. Kim, he fully explained the cause of his stroke & rather optimistic prognosis. Everything made perfect sense and we were so happy. Then we realized Dr. Kim was board certified in Stroke. We are so blessed to have met Dr. Kim

My wife has been under care of Dr. Kim for several years for her MS. My wife's MS is progressive type & has not responded to any of typical MS injectable meds. She has been pretty much wheelchair bound. Dr. Kim always has been encouraging & so attentive to her care. He then introduced a New med just been approved by FDA for treatment of Progressive MS. For the first time, my wife can stand & make few steps which no one was expecting. We are ever so grateful for his Great care
