Do not waste your time. I made multiple appointments only to be canceled the night before. They wanted notes from my previous doctor. I signed emailed and faxed the medical release form to them multiple times. They just canceled it again. I called my previous dr and she said they never sent to form to her. I wasted over two weeks trying to get an appointment. Also you will be calling a call center who has no idea whats going on. I moved down here from out of state and am out of medication. I pulled my back and was in extreme pain. Went to the er yesterday. I should have known from the reviews to stay away don't make the same mistake.Incompetent, and no communication. Excellent Doctor!! & wonderful human being! I absolutely adore Dr.Cassell, Mr Tim & Mary. As well as the office staff. Everyone is so kind, which I believe the office staff is a reflection of the Dr & clinicians whom they work for! Honest, Professional, Smart, Caring, excellent group.

This doctor treated me like a piece of garbage. Went here from VA community care and now it all makes sense. He didn't examine me, asked me 3 or 4 questions and then immediately says to me I am not prescribing long term opiate medication. I was floored. He made me feel like I was some junkie coming in off the street... He has copies of my MR I's and all my records showing all of the things that are wrong with my back and why I'm in pain. Who on Earth goes to a pain clinic and begs for injections into their spine? The reason for my visit was injections into my lower back. I have never abused a medication in my entire life and I also hold a master's degree in a mental health discipline and have served as a drug and alcohol counselor. Just the fact that he said that to me and and he didn't ask any of the right questions about what's going on with my pain. I left there crying hysterically still in pain only to go to the ER, again, just like when I go to the VA. THANKS FOR NOTHING.

This place and Dr Lance Cassell is a money machine not a medical practice. They are All about how many office visits and internal referrals they can generate. The totally unacceptable telephone hold time should have been the first sign that patient care is not their priority. Lance ordered an MRI, then passed me to his PA, who was a nice guy but never even brought up the results of my test. Then all they wanted to do was schedule another office visit with another doctor in their practice. Do Not Go Here. Terrible communications. Google Tampa Pain Relief Centers. They were fined $41 Million for billing Medicare and Medicaid for unnecessary and non existent laboratory tests and they wrote a check! He’s a pill mill doctor.

Dr Cassell has the worst bedside manner. He was very short with me and didn't seem to care about my pain. I don't recommend this office to anyone..ever.

My experience with the Doctor and Mary have been extremely helpful to my life. All recommended treatments have been helpful like physical therapy and injections. The staff is friendly and concerned and considerate.

I have been a Licensed healthcare professional for 25 years in Sarasota. I would not take my Dog to this physician. Worst I have ever met out of hundreds I have worked with and seen for my own health issues.

Was a patient of his for years while living in Florida. 100% the best pain management dr in the area. If you are a drug seeker you are looking in the wrong place. Dr cassell can and does weed those people out and will truly help those who have bigger issues than an opiod addiction. He will give you the time you need in the office to listen to your issues and send you for the testing you need. His staff is amd was always great to me and tim is as good as he is. I miss them! Was a patient for about a year. Did nothing but prescribe drug after drug ... highly don’t recommend.

I've been seeing Dr. Cassell and his NP, Mary Soccia for the last year. The office is broken. A doc or NP orders a medicine that your insurance company requires authorization. You would think that would happen in a day, maybe two. I am on 9 days without medication and counting. I've called this office 4 times in the last 5 days. Sent 2 e-mails. I get the the same run around. Asked if I could speak to the practice manager, nope, cannot do that. Asked to have the provider call me back, nope, cannot do that either. What they hiding? Next stop, an attorney. Do yourself a favor, just don't go to anything related to Surgery Centers, Inc. You will get the same treatment everywhere since this is corporately owned. And you can't even find information on that company either.

Dr. Cassell lacks courage, humility, and compassion. He is set in his ways and treats chronic pain through a 'one size fits all' lens. Additionally, receiving help (even just a callback from his nurse) between your scheduled appointments can be near impossible at times.

Dr Cassell should find another field to practice, He is a horrible man and doctor when doctors are on vacation and he has to call in medication even though he has never seen you don’t even know you he will mess with your medications which I find highly unprofessional he has no consideration for people no empathy and needs to go .

Worst pain management doctor I have ever seen. He does not make eye contact and I paid $240 for 10 mins of time. Then suppose to come back in 1 week and pay another $240 for meds. I have a terminal disease. I asked what I was suppose to do for that week for pain ( I had just got out of a 4 day inpatient in the hospital w surgery) he said I don't know. Dr Cassell is one of the worst PM Drs I've been a patient of. I saw him one time and he made changes to my medications without discussing it with me at all. He also asked me some very bizarre questions that had no merit whatsoever with my visit. I would NOT recommend his practice or the "Pain Relief Centers of FL" he is associated with. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR IF YOU NEED PAIN MANAGEMENT! I was a patient with them for 2 years and had no issues. I was having more pain than normal over the last few months and was supposed to talk to him about my options. I went in and he YELLED and pre judged me right away! I have had my DIAGNOSED multiple disabilities for almost 8 years now and he was in the room for maybe 60 seconds and would not let me ask any questions at all. Then I tried to ask about my medication he discharged me!!! He is a horrible doctor and human being! I finally found a doctor that cares and is willing to listen to my pain that I have been having for years. Dr Cassell is an amazing doctor ... I'm finally at the point of my life that I can managed my pain and enjoy life now with a smile. All the other doctors that I've been with tells my problem where Dr Cassell listens to my pain. Please be very leary of this company. I walked in and was immediately handed a cup for a urine sample before I did anything else. Did that, sat down and filled out some forms. Doctor came in and spent about 4 minutes with me and stared at the computer and talked to thee girl taking notes in the room. Asked me about my pain and then wanted to know if I would like him to prescribe narcotic pain medicine. I told him no. He offered no other relief or any type of explaination. Today I received a notice in the mail from the lab where they sent my sample. They billed Blue Cross $2400 for a lab test for the sample!!! Nobody explained anything to me and of course they want more deductible. THIS SEEMS LIKE IS A SCAM!!! So disappointed in this Dr. and company. Please find other. I wish I would have looked at his reviews before I went there.

waited 2 weeks for an apoointment. my first time seeing him. He asked me nothing about the pain I have been enduring, spent 3 minutes with me and ended it with "would you like me to prescribe opiods". So disappointing, I understand now why 40% of his reviews are 1 star. Does not look at you, only looks into the computer. Find another doctor if you are suffering.

Great! Professional, accurate, empathetic and understanding. Good eye contact, listens to the patient with a caring attitude and though with his assessment of the patient.

Not a very good place for pain management. Or anything else how can a so called doctor stay in business. Doesn’t give a dam about his patients for sure. Don’t say I didn’t tell ya. This doctor is absolutely horrible!!! Don’t waste your precious time or money. I can barely walk due to chronic degenerative disc pain. I had to have a friend drive me, we sat in the waiting area for an over an hour and then the doctor would not prescribe me pain medication nor injection therapy. He should have never been a doctor due to his unpleasant personality, incompetence, lack of empathy and most importantly made me feel like I was wasting his time. My husband has gone to him for a couple of years. He has had no issues with Dr Cassell. As long as you keep your appointments and take meds as prescribed. He is not a pill mill doctor.

If you are looking for Opiods, he is your man. If you are looking for a curative treatment, keep looking. Very efficient office -- come in. pee in the cup, get your Rx and move on.

Dr. Cassell is always caring, attentive and well informed regarding my particular situation. He is very approachable and answers any questions or concerns presented. The staff is the BEST. You get a feeling of family from each of them.

Oustanding I would highly reccomend Dr. Cassell as well as office staff. He is patient, kind and knowledgeable.

Most incompetent place i have ever been .office help wouldn't make it at McDonalds. One person tells you your insurance is ok the other says no I would go to a vet before going there.

I went to him with a very serious, life-threatening illness, Lupus. And I got no help. He even wanted to make more money and drag it out, saying, he'd "review" my medications". So he wanted me to continue coping with severe pain, while he "reviewed".things. He spent no more than 5 minutes with me And never even made eye contact with me.. I have been doctor cassell's patient for a year now . He is a excellent doctor . Takes his time to listen. If u have a problem all you have to do is tell him. He will work with u. Very honest and caring doctor. I would and have recommended him to others . Dina L

This doctor doesn't care much about what the patient has to go through. You see I am on heavy narcotics and i need to cut them back. Well this is done by tapering down the dosage over time, he stoped me from taking M S contin all together, this will put me in withdrawal. I have been taken this medication for aprox 5 years now. Dr. Cassell is one of the most personable doctors I have ever been to In My Life. His bedside manners are second to none. He cares about not just myself but my family my situation in life but most importantly my pain. I could not recommend him more as a physician he and his staff are grade A.
