Dr Sunder is an excellent choice for your cardiologist. She’s very thorough and works diligently to help with your health. I travel 3 1/2 hours just for appointments with her. She’ll keep your heart ticking lol

My experience with Dr. Sunder has been amazing. My family has a history of heart disease so I started seeing her when I was 47 years old. I could tell from my first appointment that she is both dedicated to her practice and patients. She gave me the information and encouragement I needed to change my life for the better. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone including my friends and family.

Dr. Sunder is a great doctor. She was honest about my condition and motivated me to make the necessary changes to get back to a healthy state. I absolutely love her staff as well. Everyone is super friendly and helped me to remain calm throughout my office procedures. I highly recommend Dr. Sunder!

I wanted to get a cardiac check up. First visit I ended up having 3 different tests and was put on 2 different medications. Still not exactly sure why the medication. Then we scheduled a nuclear stress test. Day of the test I told her that my iron was very low (20 or less) but thats not even mentioned in the notes. I do the test and was scheduled to come back to get the results. Notified work I would be out for the visit. A few hours before the test I did get a text telling me I needed 2 more tests and my visit was cancelled. I had already informed them that I dont have that much time since I was going to be out of country but I guess that didnt matter to them. One of the test was for hyper cholesterol, something isnt true. At that point I was done with her. It felt like I wasnt a patient but a way to bilk my insurance company. Also, the day of the stress test it was five of us that had to wait since she wasnt even in the office. I took my records to someone else.

Please don't use this physician. I was seen for blood pressure issues.Dr Sunder could never ensure my prescription was the correct dose. I was put on a blood pressure meds that made my heart almost stop beating. When I told her about it, she stated jokingly that she would have to make a special pill for me. Nothing she did worked. Her methods are outdated, truly needs to take CE courses. Also wouldn't hurt to display good bedside manners to patients seeking heart care.

I’ve been with Dr Sundar for over a decade. She is extremely proficient - keeps track of small details and is extremely caring

One of the best and few female cardiologist in Houston, and at the end; all you can do is see for yourself and take the few to little bad reviews like a grain of salt. I wouldn’t miss out on great care of my heart because of someone else’s personal opinions that usually tend to be irrelevant or biased. These negative comments usually come from people who hardly see the doctor I bet, not from those who receive life long care. At this day in age it is hard to find personal care in doctors offices, especially large doctors offices where most people are treated like a number. With Dr. Sunder you are treated as a person and feel like you have a real connection and respect from her and her staff.

I have been very impressed with Dr Sunders knowledge, judgement and rapport in keeping me informed of my status.

Very professional and polite staff. Dr Sunder is a meticulous cardiologist. She diagnosed a condition my mom had that had gone undiagnosed before. With appropriate medication my 90+ year mom’s quality of life has measurably improved.

Dr. Sunder was recommended to me by two ladies whose opinion I value highly. I met with her, she listened, she examined, she put forth a plan, explained everything and included me in the discussion !!! I feel like a person again. This is my story ... I am 75 years old-er (never OLD). Five months ago I was diagnosed with​Tachycardia by a Cardiologist that was suggested by my primary doctor. My heart rhythm was irregular and racing away. This was a first for me and I was frightened. By the 2nd appointment, I was not at all happy with Dr. High & Mighty Cardiologist. I sought not only a second opinion, but an electrician. Dr. Sunder, a cardio electrical specialist among other designations, fit the bill perfectly. I am delighted with Dr. Sunder. Even before I arrived for my appointment, her staff was on top of my situation. Whether gathering records and history or helping me find their office to prepping me for Dr. Sunder. After reading the reviews I was confident I had found an excellent cardiologist, but after a first visit I waited 30 days for a scheduled stress test. The office never called to confirm the appointment nor give instructions so I reached out to them less than 24 hours before the test. The insurance had not yet approved it and no one saw fit to even let me know. A month of waiting, and not one call to let me know it wasn't going to happen. If you are bothered by that lack of communication and professionalism, you should find somewhere else to go. I hope they do better in the future for their patients' sake.

She is treating me for congestive heart failure with medications, she performed a cardioversion to restore my heart to rhythm, and she monitors my condition, tweaking the medications to achieve optimum results. Referred to Dr. Sunder by one of her current patients. Setting an appointment was easy enough - although the person setting her appointments was seemingly a bit short on the phone and insisted, because I was set up in the Memorial system, I had been to see Dr. Sunder previously. No - for the 3rd time - I haven't. The visit itself was quick, easy and I felt thorough. Blood work and a stress test was ordered. Blood work was scheduled for the next day. I received blood work back on 1/12; I could see my results via the Quest Diagnostic app, but wasn't sure how to read some of the results. I called on 1/14 inquiring about my results, on 1/18 and on 1/28. I finally received a call from her office on 2/1 - unfortunately I was traveling that day and did not receive the message until mid-afternoon. The front desk person (referenced above) called back at 3:35pm that same day and said "I've been trying to reach out with your blood test results". She then proceeded to quickly run through the dr's notes, with a wrap up of "forward your results to your PCP". Not impressed that I'm unable to have any type of conversation - verbal or written - with the doctor with the opportunity to ask follow up questions - especially when it's mentioned some of the results indicated some sort of infection within my body. I was scheduled for a stress test on 1/27 - because Dr. Sunder did not find anything wrong with my heart or the function of - I cancelled my test on 1/14 with Patricia - well within the cancellation time per my instructions received. When I called on 1/18, I was told my blood work would be discussed during my stress test. I told the PA I had already cancelled it - she told me it was still on the scheduled. I again requested it be cancelled, and asked when I should expect a follow up call regarding blood work - no answer was provided, which was why I called back on 1/28. I'm not impressed with the level of patient care of follow up with the doctor nor her office staff. Referred to Dr. Sunder by one of her current patients. The reason for which I came to see Dr. Sunder ended up being a non issue. So, my time with her, while professional and pleasant, was limited. Her staff, while polite and friendly to me, nevertheless, let me hanging for long periods of time. The long waits were never met with apologies. The room in which I waited seemed dirty and ill kept. But the worst was this...when one of the nurses came in to get some stats from me, she casually began talking about something unimportant, but it was filled with offensive blasphemy. I found it offensive because I am Christian, but it was also just incredibly unprofessional. When I was cleared to leave I was glad I didn’t have to schedule any follow up appointments! Dr. Sunder and her staff went the extra mile to get a medication approved for insurance to pay. The insurance company denied coverage initially and it took multiple attempts and was frustrating for all. This will save me literally thousands of dollars a year.

When my PCP detected a potential heart problem right before Christmas several years ago, he reached out to several cardiologists to find one that would examine me immediately. Dr. Sunder was the only one willing to see me on such short notice -- Dr. Sunder detected a serious heart issue which she fixed immediately, and I was home for Christmas. I have been seeing Dr. Sunder for about 25 years. I know I can trust her advice. My husband had a heart attack about 15 years ago & because of her, he is doing great. I love her office, if you have a problem, they get back to you that day. She also gives you a print out of what you have discussed & your medication, which I appreciate since I am getting older. Not only do I have complete confidence in her medical abilities, I also respect the care she has given me as a patient. She is conscientious in her actions and explanations. Referred to Dr. Sunder by one of her current patients. Setting an appointment was easy enough - although the person setting her appointments was seemingly a bit short on the phone and insisted, because I was set up in the Memorial system, I had been to see Dr. Sunder previously. No - for the 3rd time - I haven't. The visit itself was quick, easy and I felt thorough. Blood work and a stress test were ordered. Blood work was scheduled for the next day. I received blood work back on 1/12; I could see my results via the Quest Diagnostic app, but wasn't sure how to read some of the results. I called on 1/14 inquiring about my results, on 1/18 and on 1/28. I finally received a call from her office on 2/1 - unfortunately I was traveling that day and did not receive the message until mid-afternoon. The front desk person (referenced above) called back at 3:35pm that same day and said "I've been trying to reach out with your blood test results". She then proceeded to quickly run through the dr's notes, with a wrap up of "forward your results to your PCP". Not impressed that I'm unable to have any type of conversation - verbal or written - with the doctor with the opportunity to ask follow up questions - especially when it's mentioned some of the results indicated some sort of infection within my body. I was scheduled for a stress test on 1/27 - because Dr. Sunder did not find anything wrong with my heart or the function of - I cancelled my test on 1/14 with Patricia - well within the cancellation time per my instructions received. When I called on 1/18, I was told my blood work would be discussed during my stress test. I told the PA I had already cancelled it - she told me it was still on the scheduled. I again requested it be cancelled, and asked when I should expect a follow up call regarding blood work - no answer was provided, which was why I called back on 1/28. I'm not impressed with the level of patient care or follow up with the doctor or her office staff.

Dr. Lalitha Sunder is a very competent Cardiologist. She has being my Cardiologist for a lot of years and she and her staff at her Clinic in Memorial City are very caring. I trust her 100%. She explain everything very clear to me so I can understand well what is going on with my health and medications. Thank You!
