Excellent, He has completed surgeries on my shoulder and knee. He literally saved my right leg from amputation. He is amazing, five star rating in every category. His staff are caring and professional. His P. A.’s are highly trained and the best. I would highly recommend Barton Memorial Hospital in South Lake Tahoe for all your procedures.

two and a half weeks post knee replacement and l am laying here withering in pain. I have to ask why Dr Swanson did not get my first surgery correct why did you put in the wrong size knee joint why did he never care about the problems I had why is this man still operating?These are all questions you should ask yourself before you ever let him touch you. Don't let this man ever do surgery on you. Dr Kyle Swanson is one of the best doctors I have ever dealt with. He has performed surgery on both my sons during their athletic careers in school and recently performed surgery on me for a broken leg.

My husband and I have had a total of 4 knee surgeries and many other office visits for strains and sprains. Dr. Kyle Swanson is knowledgeable, thorough, timely, personable, takes many insurances, sticks to his surgery schedule and fun to talk to!!! We've never had a "less than completely satisfactory experience" with Dr. Swanson and his whole office staff - P.A., M. A., admin. and bookkeeping.

Kyle Swanson did a fabulous job on my total knee replacement. This was the first utterly smooth surgical experience I’ve ever had. I had my surgery on 1/20/2020. I did the recommended 4 physical therapy sessions before my surgery and I healed incredibly fast. It probably helped that I followed all of the doctor and physical therapist’s directions to the letter. My post surgical pain level was almost less after my surgery than before. I only required prescription pain meds for 4 days, after that ibuprofen did the trick. I have several drug allergies and Dr Swanson handled it perfectly. Dr. Swanson and his staff are friendly and professional. I want to give a special thank you to Dr Swanson for taking away my painful crunchy knee. I’ve been able to be much more active so I’ve even lost a good amount of weight. I think it’s pretty great that he’s a veteran too. Michael and Dottie are remarkable too. I think we are lucky to have a doctor like him in this area.

A terribly skilled orthopedic surgeon and a very uncaring doctor. Just a few years after knee replacement I still have debilitating pain daily.I saw a doctor in another state who took only 10 seconds to say that the previous doctor i e Swanson put in the wrong size hardware in my knee. I had a second knee replacement to fix Dr Swanson's mess. Not only was the spacer the improper size they found spacer fragments and bone fragments and a big piece of bone left in my knee. Yes poor technical skills! Uncaring you bet. I told and then pleaded with Dr Swanson to please find out why I had such terrible swelling and pain one year post-surgery.He just shrugged his shoulders and said you're fine see you on your next checkup. Don't let this doctor touch you. stay away and even go to another state or country before you let this man perform surgery on you.

He is outstanding! Very thankful that I am doing better!!

Dr. Swanson gave me my lifestyle back. After visiting another orthopedic surgeon in the area (different clinic) who told me that surgery would not help my knee and I just have to live with it, Dr. Swanson did arthroscopic surgery, cleaned up the menicus and bone spurs, and I'm back to downhill skiiing, snowshoeing, and long-distance cycling. I am can't begin to express my gratitude.

My very favorite doctor. I consider him to be a mark of excellence! He has performed 3 joint replacements on me with are far better than ever expected; left and right shoulders and right knee. I had a hip replacement prior to finding Dr. Swanson and it was not as satisfactory as the replacements done by Dr. Swanson. I highly recommend him and his group and have referred friends to them.

Great doctor. Great bedside manor. Would definitely recommend to anyone

Would Highly Recommend Him!

I saw Dr. Swanson over this last summer (2017) for knee pain, Specifically, I injured my knee skiing in the earlier months of the year. After initial exam and factoring in variables (age, X-rays) He and his staff quickly developed viable options for repair and recovery. After trying the easy stuff first we ended up scoping the knee to repair the torn meniscus. Dr Swanson and his staff were amazing through the whole process!

Kyle Swanson does what is right for the patient and does not rush to operate unless it is truely needed. He is very thorough and patient and you never feel rushed when seeing him. I have 100% trust in his judgement, knowledge and surgeries.

I'm sure somewhere there is better! But in my personal experience, he has been better than ANY Orthopedic Dr I have ever encountered. Two of my Daughters also had excellent results. And two of my co-workers as well. All recommended by me..

I was extremely satisfied with my experience with Dr. Swanson. His knowledge and expertise are extremely apparent and he is flexible and compassionate. He was able to work with me with a difficult schedule and situation, when he could entirely choose not to be so understanding. I used him as a second opinion from another doctor with less experience and he diagnosed a torn ACL in my knee that was completely missed by another provider. I am eternally grateful for my experience with him.

The good Doctor did three full replacements. You will improve and feel better as soon as you return home.

A world-class, brilliant surgeon who cares deeply about his patients. I'm a graduate professor of education and paddle-sports athlete in my 40's. He's done all 5 of my shoulder surgeries; I'd recommend him to anyone in the world seeking excellence in orthopedics - worth the trip to Tahoe! Having a surgeon I trust has been priceless. I've had some major shoulder work done & have made a more than full recovery back to the sports and activities I love. Put your trust in Dr. Kyle Swanson!

Our family highly recommends Dr. Kyle Swanson for orthopedic sports injuries. Two of my four children have seen him for sports injuries and I will not hesitate to send the other two, if injured . Dr. Swanson performed surgery that repaired my son's hamstring, as it had detached from his pelvis. Thanks to Dr. Swanson, my son is running full speed! Our appointments were scheduled quick and we spent very little time in the waiting room. Staff is welcoming and friendly!

Terrible experience. I never healed correctly. I was competing professionally as a skier and never felt confident enough after the surgery to compete again. I had ACL/ meniscus repair in 2014. 2 years later I re-tore everything Kyle had "fixed", and was told by my current doctor that it was repaired very poorly and that is why it snapped so easily. Now I am going through TWO knee surgeries to fix what he did. After my recent surgery with Dr Cooley in Utah I am now healing incredibly fast!

I highly recommend Dr. Kyle Swanson for orthopedic sports injuries. He was fast and accurate in his diagnosis and he and his staff are kind, courteous and highly professional. He has given me my life back (hope of returning to my daily activity) , and for that I am grateful.
