Dr. Dickson is an amazing doctor. He saved my leg after a bad hip surgery with another doctor! He is now helping me with a broken ankle. He listens and is top notch! Save yourself some headaches by going to him first.

Sooo thankful to have found Dr Dickson! Impeccable bedside manner, extremely informative and he listens! Look no further, no one is better than him. He has an amazing staff too!

Dr. Dickson performed my knee replacement and it went well. His bedside manner is impeccable!! He checked on me while I was in the hospital, just making sure all my needs were met and I wasn't in pain. My two-week visit was on point...he gave me his opinion and he listened to me when I spoke to him about my needs as well! He had a smile as we spoke back and forth, and he made sure he answered every question before leaving the room. I would recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Dickson’s knowledge and expertise deserves a 5 plus. He listens attentively and explains the situation in layman’s terms. He is very patient and answers all my questions. The only negative today was an hour wait past my appointment time but sometimes you have to wait for the best and his treatment is worth the wait.

Highly recommend. Gifted surgeon with compassion for helping patient heal. During hospital stay I was repeatedly reminded by staff attending to me how highly regarded he is as a surgeon and called the “doctor’s doctor. Very grateful I was fortunate to have been referred to him after accident.

He’s a great doctor. Will sit there and explain what’s needs to be done . Very good bed side manner ! Friendly and so is his nurses

You get the answers that you ask questions to plus Dr. Dickson also informed you of future aspects of your surgery.

Dr. Dickson is a great doctor. I like him very much. And his assistant Sam is the best. Dr. Dickson is very competent, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. The whole staff is excellent.

Dr Dickson is extremely professional and passionate toward my condition. Thorough evaluations and explained my condition, and plan of my procedures in working toward a the most favorable outcome. He made sure to answer all my questions thoroughly and patiently. His staff is very helpful understanding and knowledgeable. The Nurses are excellent. Dr Dickson and his staff are great patient advocates, especially when it comes to insurance companies.

After my Ortho doctor moving out of Houston, she had referred me to Dr. Dickson before she left. I finally got the opportunity to make an appointment and am so happy that I did. Dr. Dickson explained exactly what was going on and didn't cut any corners giving me the why and what for. He left the options up to me and didn't try to sell me anything like a used car salesmen. If you are looking for one of the very few left "ol' school Docs, you will definitely find that in Dr. Dickson!

Very straightforward, explains things well, makes a plan, very nice manners, always a joy to see him. Wait times can be a little long ,but he is a popular man, all of his office staff is great, caring, kind, ways a pleasure to speak with them, they all are a great group.

He spent over 40 minutes with me, reviewing my scans, then coming to get my story and returning to review the scans again. I’ve been in the medical field 30+ years and it was wonderful to know there are still doctors that analyze and not just rely on an X-ray or scan. This was my first visit and yes, I will be driving 4 hours to see him again. He also set up a zoom meeting to discuss how I am progressing! WOW!! When the best doctors say that he is the one they would want, it speaks volumes!! Everyone one was very kind, courteous and helpful in the entire facility!

After a failed surgery, I was handicapped. I can not explain how grateful I am to Dr. Dickson for giving me perfection when he put me back together. He is indeed a brilliant surgeon in a league all of his own. If you saw me walk you would never know anything negative ever happen to me. Sometimes there is a wait because he is a trauma surgeon. He does all of the impossible stuff, making the impossible in his hands possible. He is the very best, and I would gladly wait for him as long as it took. He is my hero! His staff is great, they are sharp and on the ball.

The best doctor, he always answers my questions.

I just had my first visit with Dr. Dickson. He was personable and straightforward when assessing my Orthopedic issues. I love his sense of humor,. He was thorough in explaining the conditions that I have, and his recommended treatments. I didn’t feel rushed, and all my questions were answered. He gave me the impression that I was talking to a medically knowledgeable friend instead of a doctor. His concern and caring were evident! The negative reviews I read on this site were concerning long wait times. ,but I’m my opinion if he gives the same time to other patients as he did to me this is understandable. You can’t go wrong with Dr. Dickson!!!

I drive 5 hours for Dr. visits to see Dr. Dickson because I have no local Dr's with the experience and knowledge to handle my somewhat difficult case. It is worth the drive to have a Dr. that I have complete confidence in.

A thorough gentleman and a devoted surgeon who is one of the best professional in his field. He treats his patients with respect and provides the best possible treatment and honest opinions. Dr. Dickson is amongst the top choice for referrals to my friends or anyone seeking advice.

Forced me to reschedule my appointment twice in a row. I have no idea what's going on with my ankle that I've injured, and because Dr. Dickson decides to suddenly leave town whenever the hell he wants instead of honoring his appointments I have been forced to wait an entire month after injuring myself to have any information about what happened, how long it will take to heal, and how I should begin the recovery process. Great doctor but I waited 4 hours for an appointment that was supposed to be at 12pm. Nobody notified me the doctor was 2 hours behind and I find out when I was about to leave because of the tardiness. At the end, I stayed for an appointment at 3pm. OMG! Love Dr. Dickson! He's patient and very kind. Also has a lot of advice and alternate remedies and doesn't just jump right to surgery. So glad I found him and would recommend anyone in Houston giving him a try!

Save yourself the time, pain and condescension, see someone else. I came in 2 days after a reduced dislocated shoulder from there ER where I was told to get an MRI and see an orthopedic surgeon immediately. I made an appointment, took 2 hours off work and went in half an hour early to sort out the paperwork. I was then made to wait for about 5.5 hours despite an appointment (lost the entire working day), after which Dr. Dickson walks in asks me questions that have been already been answered in great detail, in the form in his hand and tells me I need an MRI and walks out promptly without answering any further questions. (okay, I could have told you that 2 days ago?) Where do I get this MRI? who do I call? when do I go? Nothing. The nurse following him around begrudgingly stays back and dismissively answers some questions, "oh they will call you in a week. Don't move your arm around till then, It'll likely dislocate or cause further damage" I do however get a bill for around $500 the very same day, for this 2 minute encounter that gave me no new information/treatment plan. Fantastic. Let's wait for the MRI. A week goes by, no call. My insurance has already authorized this MRI as I had preemptively called them btw. Another week and multiple calls to the front desk later, I get the MRI place's number and set up my own appointment and get it done. I call them up again, but our Dr. Dickson is too busy to take 5 minutes to look at the MRI and provide any further information. However, it was recommended to me, that I should take another day off so that way he HAD to see me. And bill me again of course. But after 5 days of calling the office twice everyday, I do finally get a response. "Looks fine to me, but you need to be referred to specialist." FYI from the new doctor, a second and third opinion, it's not fine and actually definitely requires surgery. So 3 weeks in a sling, a very stiff and painful, unhealed shoulder and thousands of dollars in consultation fee and labs later I got to start all over again. I'm not sure if it is the God complex, dismissive bed side manner, lack of empathy or a straight up IDGAF, either way, you're better off elsewhere. Dr. Dickson has been my orthopedic physician. I have never had any problems post op and will be udergoing a third replacement with him. Knowledgeable, kind and godd at what he does. See you soon!!

My visit was a continuation of the process with the office of Dr.Buckle. I’ve got “x-rays” of my replaced hip and received helpful advises from Dr. Dickson on status of my new hip.

Dr. Dickson is a brilliant surgeon and a warm and caring human being.I would highly recommend him to anyone.

Dr. K Dickson and his staff are stellar, great service, diagnosis, and staff. He sacrifices so much to take care of all hours patients, including emergency surgeries as needed. I trust him immensely and recommend him to everyone suffering from mobility issues.

It was my very first appointment. Dr. Dickson was more than I expected. He was very soft spoken, respectful, very informative, caring spirit. I didn’t just see a doctor but someone who listens and caring. Covered every detail and answered all questions.

I have been a patient of Dr Dickson for ten years. He has successfully replaced both hips with no complications. He has also been consulting on a prior total knee replacement that has not been satisfactory. He spends all the time necessary during appointments explaining options. He is in the medical sweet spot: experienced and up to date.
