Dr. Kurtis S. Vinsant

On 6/2/2022 Dr. Vinsant and Dr. Walker performed hernia surgery on me. Because I had 2 pelvic hernias repaired in 2004 they decided a laparoscopy would work best. Because of previous surgeries, Dr. Vinsant told me he was concerned about old scar tissue. I said to do what you think is best. They did a great job. I was home by 12:30. Dr. Vinsant called me the next morning to check on me. He would be on vacation the next week and said if I had any problems call the on duty doctor. He called me the Monday he got back in the office to check on me again. I went to his office on 6/20 for a check up and he said all looked great. He called 2 days later to check again. He told me what I could and could not do for the next 2 weeks. Bottom line is I would fully recommend these 2 doctors. I could not be more satisfied with my result.

Dr. Vinsant is an excellent surgeon. He has performed two surgeries for me with excellent results. He is straight forward with his explanations before and after the surgery. I recommend him !

Dr. Vinsant treated Me with the upmost respect and concern. He performed My hernia operation and did an outstanding job. He was very thorough and informative at all times, not to mention scheduled me for my procedure within 4 days of my initial office visit. I can't thank him enough for the opportunity to get my life back.

This doctor is THE rudest doctor I've ever spoken to. Who ends a phone call by saying "You're a complete waste"? I can understand having a bad day and being frustrated but that's unacceptable. So disrespectful.

We have been in the hospital for weeks now with my mother. This is the first time I had the unpleasant pleasure of meeting Dr. Vinsant. He told me that I was asking too many questions and that he didn’t have a crystal ball to know the answers. I’am extremely disappointed in his way of communicating to my mother and I. Instead of making us feel more at ease my mother is now more worried and afraid. You would expect a PHYSICIAN that has extensive experience dealing with patients to be better. Extremely frustrated having to deal with him. The techs, nurses, and housekeeping by far do a better job at dealing with people than he does.

I had to have an emergent procedure right 12/23/18 and unfortunately got stuck with him as my surgeon. He was condescending, talked to me like I was an idiot and refused to address my level of pain. Which was quite high. Wrote in his note IN MY CHART that I was a drug seeker. That I am certainly not!! I had an open wound the size of my hand on the inside of my buttock. And he said “in my 30 years of practicing, I know your wound doesn’t hurt”. He is very brash, brusque and down right rude. Especially if you question anything he has said.

I found Dr. Vinsant to be outstanding in communicating to me about my health problem, my options, procedure- -exactly what would be done and very detailed in every way. Most respectful and sensitive and compassionate.

Dr. Vinsant took the time to inform me about my condition, surgery and follow-up. His is knowledgeable, personable, and expressed a sincere concern for my well-being. I would recommend him and return to him for my care.
