Dr. Kurt A Massey

Everything leading up to pre surgery went well as did the surgery. Postop visit was terrible. He didn’t take the time to listen to what you were experiencing. Kept repeating the same short answer to different questions. Refused to answer questions asked. Did no look at foot, incision or touch foot and implied that you were lying. He is rude, arrogant, disrespectful, and condescending. Will not go back to him seeking another Dr for postop follow up. Office manager was no better.

If I could give less than a one star review I would. Dr. Massey was extremely rude and dismissive and did not want to answer questions. It was clear that he did not like the fact that I came with my husband to ask questions. He also dismissed the fact that my husband had a reaction to the antibiotic that he was given, stating that it was not possible for the drug to cause those reactions, even though it did. We asked about putting my husband's foot in a boot and he immediately dismissed that idea (the dr. we saw the next day actually suggested a boot). This doctor needs to learn how to interact with patients instead of talking down to them and attempting to make them feel stupid.

My first visit was brief and to the point, my second visit was pre-op went well. Surgery center staff and surgery was excellent. Second post op 2 wks later I was told that I didn’t get what he was saying about six months recovery and he was unwilling to explain exactly what he meant. Third post op visit Dr Massey was very short, rude, unprofessional and refuse to answer any question or concerns of mine. I felt belittled and disrespected.

I saw Dr Massey for left ankle pain. It had been a month of trying different shoes and stretches etc. When he came into the room and I explained this he said try a new shoe. There’s a lot of shoes out there. I explained that I wasn’t sure if I needed orthotics and couldn’t realistically wear gym shoes all day every day with my job. I need to dress up a bit. He scoffed and didn’t have a plan. “Wear gym shoes for 2 weeks. Wear flat shoes. Try — brand. No heels. “ anything like that would be helpful. He didn’t offer an x ray or a diagnosis at all. All the while, he talked down to me like I was clueless. I left the office and called Foot & Ankle Associates. The receptionist was kind and helpful. I saw Dr. Robinson the next day. He took an x ray and said I had a sprained ankle. I wore a boot for four weeks and feel much better. I called the corporate office regarding Dr Massey. That’s not patient care - he was awful! Didn’t try to treat my pain at all and was dismissive.

My surgery went well. After asking him questions about specific symptoms during a post op appointment he told me I have something wrong with me stating that I must have “something organic happening , adhd, or extreme anxiety” and I needed to tell him which one so he knows how to best communicate to me because he had already explained my foot would not return to normal for 6 months several times and that it didn’t matter what adjective I gave the symptoms it was all normal. I filed a complaint and let the corporate office know I did not feel comfortable to see him again only for him to call me and tell me he decided I need to see his partner and that he was sorry it didn’t work out the way I wanted. No apology for his behavior what so ever and just added further insult to the situation. This man should not be allowed to interact with anyone and this to me is abusive behavior and should be fired. At a post op appointment when I asked about specific symptoms he insulted me for asking questions, he was rude and verbally abusive. I made a complaint to their corporate office and will never return to see him.

Dr Massey was very straightforward and knowledgeable about my plantar fasciitis on-going issue-everything he advised turned out to be spot on! Thanks Dr Massey! Enjoyed you and your entire staff!

Absolutely the best podiatric experience I have had. He did surgery to both of my bunions with excellent results. Straight forward, no nonsense. He does not tell you what you want to hear, he tells you what you need to know.

I’m not sure what doctor some of these people saw but, it can not be the same Dr.Massey that took care of me and my broken foot. He was so caring, attentive, funny, personable and very professional. He always walked in with a big smile and even on my surgery day he made sure I was alright and ready. My surgery went great and after I only had to take 1 pain pill. I would go back to him a not think twice about it. Dr Masseys nurse was also the best. If I could give more then 5 stars I would.

Dr. Massey was an answer to my prayers. My 10 year old daughter was suffering for almost a year with ingrown toenails. We visited another Podiatrist over 10 times to remove the ingrown toenails and granulomas which formed from the removal of the ingrown toenails. The other Podiatrist (which I won't name) was kind but obviously did not know what he was doing. My poor daughter went through months of pain and multiple painful shots/treatment with no relief. I took my daughter to Dr. Massey and told him he has met his toughest client to date. Dr. Massey said "the problem stops today." Dr. Massey successfully fixed her big toes and I am forever grateful! Rude, mean spirited, confrontational, condescending, enjoys belittling. This doctor needs counseling.

My son 52 years old was recommended to see Dr Massey today by his previous podiatrist he a has a serious foot infection...after the exam and cleaning of the infection I his 75 year old Mother was requested to join the visit by my son. I then had my very first experience of meeting a Physican who was extremely unprofessional actually mean spirited in his demeanor..I in my life I worked for and with doctors and absolutely never met a Doctor who was so extremely cruel in spirit. I understand Dr Massey is a excellent surgeon and that was why we looked forward to meeting him...fortunately in the same day we found a Physican who my son felt comfortable having his foot amputated by......needless to say we have much ahead of us as a family.... Great podiatrist, very nice took care of my problem quickly and plan a return visit. I would recommend him as the best foot doctor in the area.

We had an exceptional experience at Dr. Massey’s office. Our son is 30 years old with cerebral palsy and autism. Gina and Dr. Massey were great with our son.

Dr. Massey has been able to fix all my foot issues to date. He is kind, considerate and very knowledgeable. He speaks to you with respect, treats you with dignity and talks to you like a person in words you can understand. I highly recommend him. He and his staff make the office visit fun!

After my foot surgery, I had many questions in regards to postoperative care and Dr Massey was very rude and refused to answer my questions. He told me that my questions had nothing to do with me getting better. It’s been over a year now and I have severe pain in my foot and can’t walk without pain. I will not recommend him to anyone.

Had surgery in Sept 2019, amazing care from doctor and staff. Dr Massey took time to answer any questions and put me at ease before and after surgery. Recommended him to many people and they have had great experiences.

Dr Massey was great honest I had a complete tear of plantar fascia called that morning they were able to see me that day .I am very thankful that I went there and would recommend him . Thank you again see them in 4 weeks.

My experience was awful took a year to recover from his incompetence.

This doctor was so rude and arrogant. Would not allow me to ask questions and talked down to me. I would not recommend this doctor. I will never return.

My husband had successful foot surgery and my son went for an ingrown toenail and both were very pleased with their results.

Was in so much pain from infection on toe. Dr. Massey was very caring and painlessly managed to cure the infection.

He did a great job on removing a damage nerve from my foot. He also took care of my mother's broken ankle. Very nice Doctor.

I had an ingrown toenail. Dr. Massey took time, explained everything that he would do. It was pain free, and I only wish I had gone sooner. I went to this Doctor because my young grandson had seen him previously, and everything was great! Highly recommend!!

Would never recommend him. He is rude, terrible with children and ultimately messed up my foot.

Dr Massey told me my swollen ankle was very normal as we age, he also said I needed surgery on my 2nd metatarsal,when I asked how severe my bunion was, he asked what would i do with that knowledge of he told me. Went to another poditrist, and after he ordered an mri, my swollen ankle is a torn tendon!! I don't need surgery. Horrible doctor with a horrible bedside manner!!!

Hello My name is Norman Gibson , I just recently became a paitient of Dr Massey . My wife and I are very pleased with his Staff and there ability to make of us feel very welcomed .Dr Massey performed surgery on my foot and He really took the time to explain the surgery and answered every question we had. Dr masseys bed side manner was professional and courteous. Dr massey is a Dr that takes his job very serious .We come a long way to his office .we would refer him and his staff to anyone .

Never in a million years. Told us our granddaughter had no respect because she asked him a question while he was talking. She's 11 years old, having major surgery and nervous and scared to death. How dare he. He told my daughter that apparently she let her get away with it. Omg! She's a nervous little girl. It took everything in me to not cause a scene. He is the worst doctor I've ever come in contact with. Never would I recommend him. I feel sorry for his kid because he's a jerk.

Dr. Massey has been my physician for an ongoing foot problem for the past several months. I am soooo pleased & happy with the care received! Very professional, listens to my concerns, & takes the time to thoroughly answers any questions I've had. I highly recommend him.

I've had several surgeries with Dr Massey and he has been a wonderful help to me throughout the years. He truly cares about his patients and does a great job answering questions and explaining everything.

Dr. Massey was awesome. The office was quick and courteous. Dr. Massey took the time to explain everything to me and made me feel comfortable. I scheduled a same day appointment with ease. My other family members have had a good experience with him as well.
