Dr. Kurt Gerard Hummeldorf

Had an infection that required an emergency extraction. Dr. Hummeldorf and his team were absolutely amazing and were able to squeeze me in right away. The professional and caring staff were able to fix my issue in a few short hours on a Friday and I could not be more thankful. Not to mention recovery has been smooth despite the complicated and urgent surgery. Dr. Hummeldorf is truly skilled.

Dr. Brown with Santee Family Dental Practice recommended this practice for my teenager to have his wisdom teeth removed. My son came here a few weeks ago and had all 4 wisdom teeth extracted by Dr. Hummeldorf. The procedure went smooth with zero complications. All the staff in his office were very nice and accommodating; pricing estimate was ‘on spot’ with zero hidden fees/billing ‘surprises’ which was very much appreciated. Office was clean and modern and any/all questions were answered with ease and kindness. We especially appreciated the call from Dr. Hummeldorf that same evening to make sure all was OK with my son. I have 2 younger kids and when the time comes for their wisdom teeth to be extracted, I will come back to this practice. Thanks so much!

Dr. Rasmussen did a wonderful job. My extraction was quick and painless and he called me later in the day to make sure I was alright.

Very caring and super knowledgeable. Was able to get an appointment easily and for the time I wanted. Dr. Hummeldorff and his entire staff are wonderful! I would and will recommend them to anyone looking for an awesome experience !

Everyone at Dr. Hummeldorf's office was amazing! The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and Dr. Hummeldorf's extensive knowlege and experience made my procedure as quick and painless as possible! He even called later in the day to check on me! Highly recommend!!!

Dr. Hummeldorf and the staff are so kind. I was nervous to have my tooth pulled, but they were so kind about it. Dr. Hummeldorf did a fantastic job. It was over in a heartbeat.

I had a really good experience, they made me feel as comfortable as possible before the surgery and checked in on me that night to see how I was doing. They even sent me a get well soon card. It’s the little things that make a difference and I would definitely recommend to anyone.

I was nervous going into the surgery process but Dr. Hummeldorf and his staff were completely calming and professional. It ended up being a lot easier than I expected thanks to all of them. They made me felt more than just another patient and for that I’m thankful and grateful that I stumbled upon this practice.

Doctor Hummeldorf is extremely experienced and professional, but do check your bills! I got another mailed bill to pay after paid everything in full and had to call to double check and convince them I’ve paid...

This practice takes care of its patients like they’re family. Beyond explaining and completing the procedure, Dr. Hummeldorf walks his patients out to lobby, personally calls them the evening following surgery to check in, and hand writes a get well card. Would certainly recommend this practice!

HIGHLY recommend this oral surgeon. Amazing and courteous service from the front desk to the dentists. The first time, they took me early. The second time, the dentist was running late. He came to the lobby himself to apologize of the delay. They explained very well the biopsy process and I am recovering well. Bonus: I didn't have my wallet and ran out of gas, and a kind lady gave me cash to fuel my car to be able to go back home. HIGHLY recommend this oral surgeon. This place made having a double extraction as quick and painless as they possibly could. I was in and out within an a half of hour. The staff was great!

An amazing option if you're getting wisdom teeth removed. Dr. Hummeldorf is extremely knowledgeable in his field and the staff was very friendly.

excellent service , surgical tech Tony was very professional and very thorough. Dr Hummeldorf was awesome , he called the night of surgery to make sure everything was ok. Dr. Hummeldorf is a great guy and made the process super quick and as painless as an extraction can get. On top of that he personally called this evening to check on me. I don’t know many surgeons that are on that level. It’s pretty amazing to know you have a doctor who cares.

Dr. Hummeldorf is nothing short of amazing! I was experiencing bad tooth pain over the weekend and finally on Sunday afternoon I could not take the pain any longer. I searched for Emergency Dentist’s office that were open to no avail. Having had oral surgery with Dr. Hummeldorf in the past, I called him to see if he could help me out in any way. He dropped everything he was doing and told me to meet him at his Mission Valley Office. We got there at the same time and he opened up the office and started up all the equipment. An X-Ray quickly determined that the tooth was dead and needed to come out. He had me relax in the dental chair listening to music while he set everything up and 20 minutes later that dead, cracked and painful tooth was GONE! I have never experienced the level of pain that tooth was causing and Dr. Hummeldorf made it ALL BETTER! The man is an angel in a dental smock! I was referred to Dr. Hummeldorf's office from the VA for implant surgery. This whole experience has been amazing. First off, I called his office after having a scary experience at the VA. I expected to leave a message and get a call back in a day or two. But, Dr. Hummeldorf got on the phone immediately and addressed my anxiety about what I was having done. Today was my surgery. Two implants done (so far). His office is full of staff that is helpful. He has created an environment that is a combination of professionalism and fun. Obvious that his staff like him and enjoy their jobs. Sam and Patty get kudos too. The work was explained to me step by step. I was comfortable and pain free. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Hummeldorf . My son had his wisdom teeth removed a few months ago. Dr. Hummeldorf and his staff took very good care of him from the initial appt. explaining the whole procedure/process all the way through to the day after the procedure making sure he was OK. They followed up a few hours after the surgery and a little later into the evening. A few weeks after the surgery my son had a concern so I called the office to speak to the Dr. They sent him a message, he called me back within an hour of my call and he had my son come in the next day to check him over to make sure there wasn't an issue to address. Painless surgery and professionaly done

Dr Hummeldorf is an excellent oral surgeon. He is knowledgeable, relaxed, swift and I totally trust his judgment. And I was awake for wisdom teeth removal, which is always a bit nerve wracking. The rest of the staff is just as pleasant. The women at the front desk are so friendly and so helpful! Even though I got my teeth pulled, this experience wasn't like "pulling teeth" at all!:) Dr Hummeldorf is an excellent oral surgeon. Dr Hummeldorf was part of a magnificent team of doctors at Grossmont hospital that were able to diagnose my husbands Cancer, a variety of other medical issues and repair a previously failed oral surgery... So very thankful to this man.
