If you need to see Dr. Modwel in a pinch, you are sadly out of luck. She didn't even have the courtesy to return my call(s) on the day that I reached out. I, for one, will be looking for a new doctor.

Doctor Modwel saved my life. Her persistence, frankness, and thoroughness is why I am alive today.

I am an RN who has been a patient as well as a referral source including for my husband and Dad. Dr Modwell is one of the finest diagnosticians I have encountered due to her ER & Hospitalist Experience. She individualizes each patients plan of treatment for maximum effectiveness.. She addresses the emotional impact of life on illness and illness on life. She has saved my life, my husbands, and my Dad. Smart and caring. RN Linda

I saw her in Brookfield and was thrilled she moved to Newtown. She's experienced as can be, excellent about follow-ups, and she is incredibly thorough, making any wait completely worth it. I made my husband start seeing her, too. She is very fond of testing, and that may irritate some people (especially because of the expense), but that's why she found a cancer my prior doctor missed. I would follow her anywhere as long as she doesn't leave the state!

While I find Dr. Modwell's care okay, it seems every time I go there she asks me the same questions. She types the answers into the computer as I sit there, so I don't understand why they are being asked again. In addition, the way the office handles the business end is poor. On two occasions when I left phone messages I had to call multiple times to get anyone. I just requested my records and was told it would take 30 days. Really????

Dr. Modwel is very thorough with her examinations. She explains possible diagnoses. Dr Modwel listens to any concerns you may have and is also somewhat flexible about the possible treatment path based on your concerns.

Dr. Modwel has been my Primary Physician for almost seven years and I can honestly say that she is the best Primary Physician I have had in my life. She is very thorough in her treatment of my high blood pressure and cholesterol, and is very concerned in my overall well-being. I am confident that I can totally trust her with my health. Dr. Modwel is very friendly and takes a special interest in her patients always taking time to visit and get better acquainted on a personal level. Over the years

Dr. Modwel has only worked in E.R. for most of her tenure. I had gone to see 3 times with flu or a cold. Recommendation's were go to the emergency room?????

Dr. Modwel and Community Health Associates are the best. Dr. Modwel is thorough and attentive. She's incredibly polite and not at all pretentious like other doctors. I highly recommend this doctor's office to anyone looking for high quality primary care.
