Kristina P Shurtleff

Dr. Shurtleff is an excellent doctor. She takes an adequate amount of time with each patient, and her recently improved front desk process has made check-in and checkout and timely appointments. A new standard of care. It is a tremendous improvement in terms of office visits but regardless, I think the reason her office was so busy was because she’s a great doctor, and a good person who takes the time to understand your issues. This is a five star rating because the practice deserves it not just the doctor, but the practice in its entirety.

Might want to specify what new patients are being taken, open ended statements are not kind, especially when someone is in need.

I have been a patient of Dr shurtleff for 4 years. She's is positively the best Dr I ever had . She is top notch . Professional kind and knowledgeable . I'm from n.y. and she puts rings around the drs there. Her staff can't be beat. The staff so effeecient and kind. Ths best Matt Sophia and Lyn are also bending over backwards to help you. Dr shertleff and her staff are the best. 5 stars is not enough to rate this great group. You are the best. Love you guys

Dr Shurtleff has been our doctor for 15 plus years. She has always showed the greatest care for her patients. Her compassion and knowledge far surpass any other physician we have had.

Dr. Shurtleff has been my primary for seven years. She diagnosed a random condition several years ago and go me into the best specialist and surgeon! She spends time with her patients. The wait to see her can be hours, but her patients know that and are willing to wait. She’s just that good.

My first in-person visit since the pandemic began was yesterday and it was great. Very little wait and there appears to be a new front-desk person. A sign says they are not taking walk-ins anymore so I think that's why my visit was so easy. I agree with the others that the office staff have been disinterested and difficult in the past but I think Dr. Shurtleff may have remedied that if yesterday was any indication. Her M.A. is a young man who is competent and respectful. The lady who does the lab work is not warm and fuzzy but she's incredibly good. I'll take that any day. (And a lab in the office? That's a great perk.) In the past I've waited a long time for my turn, even with an appointment, but I always knew once Dr. Shurtleff got to me that I would not be rushed. She is not judgmental or rude (even when I told her I *still* hadn't done a lab test she sent me for a year ago). If you don't need to see her in person, she is also great with tele-med appointments; I have had a couple of those in recent months. She takes her time to really get to know her patients. She even makes house calls. At least she did before Covid for some her more severe patients. She thoroughly checks you over. Very good personality. She takes the time to listen to her patients.

Greatest medical staff I have come across in my 70+ years. During my "emergency situation" this caring staff came to my need for help. It wasn't just one, but 5 members who stayed with me. Dr. K Shurleff and staff exemplifies concerns, care, service, and patient satisfaction. Thank you!

Dr. Shurtleff is one of the best family practitioners I've ever been to. I'm 70 years of age and I have been seeing her for about 15 years, prior to her opening her own practice. Sometimes we wait a little longer for our appointment but she always takes as much time as it takes to diagnose and explain the situation. When you leave your completely confident that she has understood and properly treated your condition. In addition unlike many practitioners that want to rush you through your appointment, she's a great listener.

So I called to tell them I'm trying to schedule an appt for my mom. I let them know my mom has a new insurance and needs to select a provider and make her first appt. They instruct me what to do and I do just that. I call back and they tell me they are not accepting new patients. Thanks for wasting 3 hrs.

WORST DOCTORS OFFICE ON THE PLANET! 0 stars. They had the nerve to have my oxygen wearing grandmother wait from 10:30AM to well after 6:00PM WITH AN APPOINTMENT for her 1st visit. Then for her “second” visit ( a follow up after a hospital stay because she was showing stroke-like symptoms) she snottily came in the room “what am I seeing you for today, haven’t I already seen you 3 or 4 times) and had audacity to argue with her about what # visit this was (even after the front office CONFIRMED it had only been the 2nd visit) instead of the task at hand, which was following up to see how she was and how to move forward as far as meds and physical therapy go etc. She likes to throw in how she’s been doing this a long time and how many patients she has. How many of those said patients have actually returned?! You HAVE been doing this too long, hang up the white coat, dear. She is the best doctor. She's kind and caring to all her patients. You will experience a wait when coming to her office and thats because she has lots of patients, but she's well worth your wait. If you want an in and out office visit with a less caring and experience doctor, GO SOME WHERE ELSE !

Dr. Shurtleff is a very compassionate and understaning sweet person. She has good bedside manners, listens attentively and is very helpful. I like that she takes the time to visit with me and get to know me personally. She continually search for answers to make the right diagnosis and sometimes that means referring me to other specialty professionals in specific fields who may help her to rule out her suspicions. It is usually a long waiting time to see her but is well worth it once you are in the exam room with her. I appreciate her hard work and caring attitude towards me.

If you have a problem with time spent in the waiting room, this isn't the physician you want. However, If you need a compassionate, professional doctor who spends a great deal of time with you and is the best at diagnosing and treating medical issues, this one is for you. She will not spend 5 minutes with you, toss a prescription at you and run out the door like lots of doctors do. I have been with her for over ten years and can't recommend her enough.

Office staff is deplorable. Dr Shurtleff is a dream doctor love her to death.

I saw her since late last year she diagnosed with lupus in January 2018 which i have not seen a rheumatologist.My appointments would last over 5 hours 2 to wait for a room another 3 in the room waiting on her. Nothing is worth a 5 hour wait

First off the staff is super rude the nurse there is maybe one of the rudest people I’ve delt with. The clinic is super slow if you go in at 8 you won’t get seen till one or later. Dr. Shurleff herself is a great doctor but her staff is just god awful.

I cannot believe i'm sharing my experience with this practice having only dealt with the receptionist. I called to schedule an appointment and due to an incoming call missed the menu options. I called back and was immediatly put through to the receptionist. She gives the name of the facility and asks what i'd like to do, to which I respond, "Hi I'd like to make an appointment." She promptly hangs up. I call back, a little hurt as maybe she was irritated that I hadn't chosen the proper department on the menu options. Expecting the options again, I was instead put through to the receptionist. She introduces the clinic again, to which I say, "hey there, we must have gotten disconnected." She scoffs, saying "I wasn't talking to nobody." I could hear the venom in her voice, like I was accusing her of something disdainful. Like, why was that reaction necessary? The rest of the conversation she asked for my insurance, told me that there wouldn't be any availability for new clients after 2 o'clock, which is ridiculous. Logically I know that many medical facilities have their set of rules, but having worked in customer service someone is going to take that personally especially to have been spoken to with such attitude beforehand. Her lack of capacity for polite conversation, coupled with her rude demeanor along with the lack of availability just put me off completely. If this is how the receptionist treats clients, I can only imagine the kind of person the doctor would be. Really dodged a bullet there. couldn't get anybody on the phone

After waiting 5 months for my appointment I show up only to wait over an hour for my appointment. After asking the wait time I was nonchalantly told that there was another patient in front of me waiting to be seen by Dr. Shurtleff, so I end up leaving. (Essentially I would have waited over 2 hours to see her if I had stayed) Before I left, other patients had been waiting over an hour as well and informed me this happens far too often. Dr. Shurtleff needs to allot more time for appointments or needs to improve on her time management skills. This is poorly unprofessional and I will not be returning. She’s awesome doctor she treats everyone well and you will love her too.

I've seen Dr. Shurtleff over 10 yrs. When she had her office by the galleria mall, now she is over on water street. I don't have insurance at my job yet, I still have health plan of Nevada. I thought would not be able to see her no more. I was happy to hear that because I'm a long time patient she'd take me with my insurance. I love my doctor she really cares about her patient's and takes her time. The wait is worth it. With my situation right now, which is not very good emotional and hard to deal with. Dr. Shurtleff is working with many doctors and tests to get me back to myself and life again. I'm thankful for her. I've seen Dr. Shurtleff over 10 yrs. Dr Shurtleff, is the VERY BEST doctor I have come across in a very long time! She is the definition of what a doctor should be, she takes her time with each and every patient, you may have to wait a few hours to see her but believe me she is worth waiting every little sec. Just bring a good book or make sure your battery has a full charge on your phone. She even makes house calls! How many doctors do you know do that? My husband, sister, and I have all been seeing Dr Shurtleff for 5 yrs. She is very professional her staff is always pleasant to us and takes very good care do get the things we need done as quickly as possible. Sometimes the wait is long but she is the only doctor there and doesn't leave her patients wondering what was just said to them.

Dr. Shurtleff has been my MD for 15 years plus. Although the waiting time is awhile, she takes her time and listens to all my concerns. All of her team members in the office are AWESOME! Be patient when waiting, it is DEFINITELY worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Love all of you!

Dr. Shurtleff is a good doctor, but her staff is horrendous. Rude and unprofessional. The wait is always 2+ hours. Each visit is an all-day ordeal. Calls for Rx refills or other information are often ignored. It's only getting worse and after 10 years, I found another doctor. I no longer dread a visit to the doctor.

I simply love Dr. Shurtleff. I have been a patient of hers for over 10 years. It is true that you need to plan on a 2 -3 hour wait -but that is because she takes time with her patients. Basically she takes all the time YOU need to answer questions. She is a gem!

Dr Shurtleff is a fantastic doctor with a heart of gold. She's friendly and knowledgeable, a combination rarely seen in a doctor these days. I've always been treated well by all members of the staff. They are friendly and attentive. The wait time can be long, but Dr Shurtleff is worth the wait as she spends lots of time with you once it's your turn to be seen. I takes forever to get an appointment and once you do , plan on a good 2-3 hour wait.. on a good day. They have problems keeping your prescriptions up to date because they never answer anything faxed to them. If you have any medication that you are not supposed to be without; you can count on running out and nothing being done until you can see the doctor. People bring their food into the office and eat like pigs and leave a mess in the waiting room!
