Dr. Kristin V Stahl

No handicap access and Dr. Is rude. She must doesn't have kids because it's no friendly interaction with her and her patients which are kids. I'm a nurse and would never greet a patient that are mostly grown like she does kids. It's an in and out basis which is nice for if u have something to do but she could use more personality.

BEWARE OF THIS OFFICE My daughter had been going to this office since she was a newborn and is now 3 years old. Over the winter months I had taken my daughter to this physicians office twice for two basic sick visits. My daughter had strep throat at one visit and influenza at the second visit. This office is SCAMMING insurance companies and SCAMMING the parents. I received a bill from them for $375 for these two "basic sick visits". Our insurance is private and very good. We have never had an issue before, so I was concerned why our bill was so high. I contacted the office who sent me an itemized bill. WOAH. They UP CHARGED both of her visits. My daughter was charged for a "comprehensive sick visit" which typically means that a child is critically sick with multiple body systems affected and hospitalization is a possibility. Strep throat and influenza does not constitute as "comprehensive".. On top of that they charged for a "pulse ox" which is a tiny electronic device that checks the oxygenation levels of blood for about 5 seconds. When I asked about this I was informed by Suzanne in their billing department that "...sometimes insurance will pay for that so we will charge it". Oh awesome. So you're basically trying to get as much money as you can. They also had other charges on there for higher paid strep tests claiming they needed to "send them off for further testing". Which made zero since because she was positive in office so no further testing was warranted. (No they didn't send a strep culture either, not sure what "further testing" she was referring too). After addressing my concerns with her, she never responded, and then in the mail about 5 days later I received a later stating they were sending me to COLLECTIONS for an unpaid bill. They got their $375.00 from me and Suzanne blamed the physician for these charges and made no attempt at correcting them. My daughter will NEVER be going there again, and I hope whoever is reading this will be cautious of this scamming place that is supposed to be there to provide care to children. It's disgusting. My Daughter went in for a routine checkup and next thing I know I have a bill from the insurance company that she has gauged them for over $1300 in which I have to pay $260 of. She claimed that she needed to send a urine sample for some reason to the lab that was out of our ins. network. Seems like it would be standard procedure to let the patient know and ask for permission. I guess if she needs money, she just orders lab work or anything else and hits the insurance up. Seems pretty unethical to me and she should be ashamed of herself. No wonder insurance is outrageous.

My wife had a horrible experience with Dr Stahl to the point where Dr. Stahl yelled at my child and told her to leave her office. My children will no longer be patients at this practice. I will be contacting my insurance company to find a new practice and will be launching a complaint with the Illinois Department of Financial & Professional Regulation and any other professional organization as applicable. Absolutely LOVE Dr. Stahl and the entire office staff. They have always gone above and beyond for my family. When my daughter was diagnosed with a medical condition Dr. Stahl called me personally and answered all of my questions, never ever making me feel rushed. Would highly recommend this office!

We love heartland pediatrics and especially Dr Stahl and the nurses. They are kind and go above and beyond with their patients. You might have to wait a bit during appointments but they always see us when we need them.

I have been taking my kids to see dr stahl since 2005 she has always did right by my family even when I got my grandkids in April of 2019 they excepted them all w open arms. We have been going to Heartland Pediatrics for many years and love the doctors, nurses and office staff. We’ve never had a problem getting an appointment when needed even if we have to be worked in. I’ve been bringing my kids here since my oldest, now 11, was a newborn. The staff gives great, warm welcomes & makes every child feel special. The doctors take their time, listen to your concerns & make sure you’re heard. I’m a director at a daycare and always give my parents, who need a pediatrician, their phone number. I am 14 years old and have been going to Dr.Stahl for 8 years. Not only is she a amazing doctor she also encourages me to make healthy choices such as eating good foods and knowing what I’m putting in my body. Years before I saw a different doctor who was a good doctor knew what she was doing but not even close to the same level of care and affection that Dr.Stahl shows me. I know she cares about me and wants the best for me. We have gone to Heartland Pediatrics for 13 years. We appreciate the care given by the Doctors, and staff there. I would recommend them to anyone looking for excellent care. Another perk, Dr. Stahl also personally visits her patients when they are in Children's Hospital.

Love this office! We have seen Dr Stahl and Dr Lai. They are both wonderful!! They take time to listen and are forthcoming with info/suggestions whether you want to hear them or not. Love Dr. Stahl and her staff! The nurses are amazing and always helpful when I call. My youngest son has been hospitalized 3 times. He has asthma and food allergies and Dr. Stahl was very thorough and listened to our concerns when he first became sick. She ordered testing and referred us to specialists right away. Now a year later, he has gained weight and is healthy 2.5 year old. She also treats my oldest son, who receives daily medication. Dr. Stahl has been my kids doctor for almost 4yrs. She is amazing, one if my kids has ADHD and the other asthma, and we never had any problems. Her and everyone at Heartland Pediatrics are amazing and make us feel heard and understood. My kids never complain about going to the Dr, and that is awesome.

We have been coming to Heartland Pediatrics since my son was born (he is now 6) and I recommend them to all my expecting momma friends. The nurses are beyond amazing and know my son and all the problems he has had. It’s reassuring when you feel like your child’s doctors office is invested in your child more than just for the time of your visit. We have been seeing Dr Stahl and her staff for over 14 years. I have always been able to get sick appointments same day. My middle child has asthma and Dr Stahl has been excellent in caring for him. Absolutely terrible. Will be switching doctors immediately despite the extremely convenient location. Both times I have gone there she has laughed at my concerns, insulted me, and then decided that my child's problem (whatever it is at the time) is due to MY anxiety. I'm a very laid back person and only bring my child to the doctor if there is a problem that has been going on for over a week. Everyone who knows me would LAUGH if you told them I have an anxious parenting style. The second time this happened, I found out that my concern (which she mocked, shrugged off/denied, and then blamed on my non-existent anxiety) was actually 100% accurate. What is more disappointing is that I didn't find out from Stahl, I found out through an automated text from Walgreens saying my daughter's Rx was ready.... Her Rx for the exact problem that her doctor told me I was wrong about. The lab results had come in and proven that Stahl's test results/diagnosis (or lack thereof) were inaccurate, and that

Someone at the front desk called about a bill we owe and instead of talking with me about it she got extremely aggressive and hateful, using very disrespectful words toward me. Usually the staff and drs are wonderful. We had seen Dr Gretchen but she recently retired. Our last appointment for my oldest son (8) was absolutely one of the most horrible experiences weve ever had at a dr (including the er) Dr. Stahl was absolutely horrible. She was rude, and did not word her questions well. She made horrible assumptions out of no where that my husband wasnt my sons father (not that that has anything to do with all of it and I dont know why she treated us poorly for her assumptions) she rolled her eyes at us and huffed at us. She asked my son what he LIKED to eat not what he actually eats and he said oreos so she scoffed and was like great you eat junk. She was honestly horrendous most of what she talked to us about had nothing to do with why we were there to get a referral for my son.. I have three children that has been seen by dr. Stahl 16,15,2 and she has been very involved with their care especially my daughter. She has never failed me and I did leave because of the dr appt missed situation but I had to come back because my children didn’t want another doctor but her. Dr. Stahl goes the extra mile for your children and she wants to have a realty with the child by letting them talk to for their selves.

Dr Stahl has made negative comments about all of my children’s weight (ages 16, 15, and 13) in spite of the fact that all of my children are physically active. She has degraded the fact that we homeschool, stating that they were spending too much time in front of a screen (in spite not actually knowing anything about heir homeschool day) and stated that they must never move around during the day. She never asked what kind of diet they maintained or what activities they were involved in. She was VERY upsetting to my children, especially my oldest daughter who for 6 months struggled with an eating disorder. While I cannot say this lady caused her to go down that path, I do know she began to “diet” shortly after that appointment. She is NOT a good pediatrician.

Dr. Stahl was my pediatrician for nearly my entire childhood. I'm the oldest of 3 boys and she did an excellent job getting us in whenever my Mom needed to take us in. I remember shortly after having graduating highschool not having yet transitioned to a an adult physician, and I had not been to her office for a visit in a few years. I had terrible eye pain, and she had me come right in checked me and recognized it was outside of her scope of practice and promptly got me an appointment at nearby eye doctor and didn't charge me an office visit. Today almost 7 years later I had to track down my immunization records after having moved around a few times since Highschool and her staff was so nice and helpful and quickly got me my records without hesitation. Yes sometimes i have to wait a little over my appointment time (there are certain times of the day) but I have also called same day and been told not to worry come in. I will take a little wait knowing that this office is willing to accommodate every child needing to be seen. My daughter is 6 months old now and we’ve been using heartland since she was born. Well, not anymore. More times than not we have waited an hour passed our appointment time to even be seen. Do you know how inconvenient and difficult that is whenever you have a small breast-fed baby who is colicky? Why are they doing that but they want to charge you $50 if you are late or miss your appointment... sounds like hypocrisy to me. Not only that, but we can’t even see the same doctor every single time and each doctor contradicts each other. For example, at our four-month appointment the doctor told us to give our daughter high allergy foods (peanuts, eggs, fish, berries) at six months old, and then our six month appointment Dr. Stahl gave me a pamphlet telling me not to do those things. I was also told that because my six-month-old doesn’t completely sleep through the night that I must be doing something wrong. That’s one way to discourage parent, so thanks Heartland. Plenty of the advice I have gotten from them even goes against the AAP. They won’t be seeing my daughter again. My daughter is 6 months old now and we’ve been using heartland since she was born.
