great to work with, nurses very friendly, very up front and honest, glad we chose the Iowa Clinic!

Dr. Lekkas did my reconstruction surgery with Dr. Hamling and completely did an amazing job - way beyond my expectations! I got to go home same day and managed pain with Tylenol and Gabapentin. (Neat plastic wrapping so you can see everything immediately, so you're not worried and guessing what you look like.) Dr. Lekkas and his assistant Shari are so patient and kind, listening to all your questions and taking wonderful care of me. I still have to do reconstruction follow-up, but at 6 weeks my scars are healed and you can barely see them. Even if I don't do anything additional, I'm ecstatic with the original results. I can't thanks them enough for taking away the cancer and making me still look like myself. God bless! I felt they really listen to my goals and 4 years later I am still so happy with the results! Amazing!

Dr. Lekkas did my reconstruction after a double mastectomy. He's undoubtedly an expert in his field, his nurse Sheri is awesome, and I always felt like he valued my time as much as his own. No sitting around waiting for appointments. After a year of dealing with breast cancer, I wish more medical facilities could be as efficient as Dr. Lekkas is! I can't say enough good things about Dr. Lekkas and his team at Iowa Clinic Plastics. I had my Panniculectomy on the 2nd and am being released to go back to work on the 2 of September.

Great surgeon. Seems to be a perfectionist and comes highly recommended by past patients doctors and nurses. He has been very compassionate to me. His nurse Sheri it is very kind and a great educator. I believe he is the best at what he does.

Between 2018 and 2019 I underwent four breast cancer surgeries. Dr. Lekkas and Dr. Hamling are what I now refer to as, "the dream team." I can't imagine more experienced, talented and compassionate doctors (and staff) to work with during such a challenging time. Shari was THE BEST ever, and she had a way of making me feel like I was their only patient at the time. Truly Heaven-sent to all who interact with her. Dr Lekkas and his staff are amazing people who care with true love for their patient. They care to about you health and the mental health of their patients. Dealing with Breast Cancer is hard but even when you have been going from appointments as much as I do its easy to notice the true doctors who care and the doctor that dont care and just collect the check. I had a breast reduction done by Dr. Lekkas last fall. He is professional and very experienced. I felt comfortable with him- that he was open to my questions and truly wanted me to feel heard and cared for. My surgery went perfectly, recovery has been easy, and I'm so happy with the results. Do NOT recommend him. Had breast surgery done by him. It was messed up. He was completely inappropriate when I respectfully brought up my concerns. In fact he was defensive, mean, and insulting. His work was awful. Another surgeon in town fixed me and I am happy. Just read the reviews.

The best at what he does, very caring and professional when it comes to actual surgery. His staff can be a bit difficult to reach but he is very good and I was happy with my results and care during and post surgery will post update longer term.

He did my reconstruction after my breast surgery. He did an amazing job. If you had no idea which side I had breast cancer. You would never be able to tell. Yes I have scars but I had a implant and a list on the other one so they both had scars. But it looks amazing. I would also highly recommend having a latissimus if you are a good candidate for this type breast reconstruction. I thought it was easy and not very painful at all. Dr Lekkas is a very personable Dr. that makes you feel at ease.

Hands down his work is his forte. I needed some corrections from a previous reduction in January. Trust me, I was hesitant to do it all again. Dr. Lekkas was recommended to me as the man with the 'magic hands'. Oh really. Man has skills. Highly recommend. Wouldn't want any other.

Dr. Lekkas teamed up with Dr. Hamling April 4, 2015 and performed a nipple sparing prophylactic bilateral mastectomy. Preventative breast cancer surgery. I am now 29 years old and conscious of my appearance, especially after having two babies. Dr. Lekkas has reconstructed my breasts, giving me the confidence to be comfortable in my own skin after my surgery. Not only physical appearance, but our friendship has made it easier for me to talk about my journey. His nurse Shari is fenominal and definitely a breath of fresh air during the process. Dr. Lekkas performed a mastectomy on my female to male transgender son and the whole experience was amazing. Shari is wonderful too. The whole staff and the staff at Lakeview were accepting and wonderful to my son. And most importantly, my son's surgical outcome was just as Dr. Lekkas explained. He said to not expect perfection, that we may need a little touch up. I prefer my surgeon to be honest. Every patient heals different. My son had a little liposuction done about six months later. My son is confident and pleased with the results and that is all a mom can hope for! Dr. Lekkas performed a mastectomy on my female to male transgender son and the whole experience was amazing. Dr. Lekkas did an amazing job! He and his nurse Shari and his entire staff are top notch. I was a preventative mascectomy and reconstruction case. He was very clear about what my expectations should be, going into the procedures and he exceeded my expectations throughout the entire process. I am extremely grateful to Dr. Lekkas and his staff for all of their care. Whenever I had a question or concern, they were readily available to help and there was minimal (if any) wait time involved.
