I was able to get an appointment very quickly and get much needed medications. I always feel listened to and it’s such a big help that my doctor is so familiar with my medical history that she is able prescribe antibiotics and other meds easily. She will refer you out if you need to see a specialist. Then follow up on your specialist visits. I can't say enough nice things about. She is the best we have in this area.

Dr. Altar is perhaps the most caring physician that I have met. I was referred to her on Christmas Eve because my husband tested positive for Covid and I am immunocompromised. My regular doctor wasn't working that day. She quickly assessed my situation, ordered my testing and a prescription for my situation in case they were not due to Covid. She even showed concern about the fact that we were leaving for vacation within a few days. When my results came back negative and I was feeling worse, she ordered another more precise test. She wrote to me on Christmas night around 10 pm expressing her concern that my test results were not yet available and checking on my health. I have never received such personal and caring physician attention. I was so impressed that I asked if she was taking new patients. Unfortunately her practice is full. I will always remember her kindness at Christmas.

Dr.Alatar fit us in for a visit and was very thorough in finding the right care for our health problem. We greatly appreciate her kindness and concern to help us with our sickness. Staff were amazing, everyone was caring and compassionate very concerned with us getting proper care. Dr. Alatar was willing to work with our insurance company to get medications approved that they usually have a hard time doing. You won’t find many doctors that want to help you save money and work on your health as well as she did!

Had a sick visit with Dr. Alatar and she was very concerned and compassionate about helping me with my needs to get well. Had a chest X-ray with Chrissy and our nurse was Mariah who both gave amazing service. Each person was very concerned with my level of care and made sure I was thoroughly satisfied with my care. Doctor and staff were all exceptionally thorough and I was great full to be in such good hands from the doctor nurse and X-ray technicians .

Excellent physician very thorough and professional. Does well on follow through on any condition. She runs on time with all of her visits. Her office staff are very professional and follow through on all questions.When she arrives at a visit she’s prepared for the visit and is knowledgeable about why you are there and is prepared to evaluate and discuss issues. She listens to what you say and then discusses both what you have to say and offers other options in a professional manner. We have been very happy with all care provided to see both myself and all of our family members from young to old.

My visit went well and I have been a patient of Doc Alatar for the past few years. Sence Covid came about I think the patient portal has been helpful in getting in touch with wilmington health. The VR visit part is good to have but I have noticed that the program that is used for the visit does not always work as it should. I did the check my device for this visit and it came up just fine. However went I went to use it for my last visit it was a complete fail, but Doc Alatar called me and everything went just fine. Alatar truly is one of the best doctors I have had,and has helped me improve my health over the past years with all of her advice.

I have been seeing Dr Alatar for many years. I have complex medical issues and she is always very proactive in helping me manage my existing conditions and also focuses on preventative health and maintenance. Everyone in her office, from her nurses Dana , Mariah, and Tabitha to Dr Alatar herself; they are all #1 in my book. Their care, compassion, and dedication to me and all of their clients is beyond measure! I would follow them to the end of the earth knowing that they will always have my best health interests in mind!! It is often hard finding a MD that is both compassionate and a extremely intelligent, who listens and knows what they are doing and does not discount you symptoms or issues and works diligently to help you! Dr Alatar and her staff does all this extremely well, while ensuring you are personally ok at all times! She also takes all the time you need to address you conditions and concerns. Dr Alatar is one of the kindest most knowledgeable MDs I have ever known! Trust me!! I am 76 years old and have encountered MANY Physicians in my life and there are absolutely NONE that I trust better than Dr Alatar! She is an encyclopedia of knowledge and the most well trained and educated MD I have ever had to the pleasure to know. She also takes her time with you and listens to your concerns and questions and answers them thoroughly! She investigates and will do everything in her power to get you the answers you need in regards to your health. She also focuses on preventative health and closely and meticulously monitors your overall condition to keep you in top notch health. Nothing escapes her! Dr Alatar is compassionate and caring and She also had a very personalized approach to medicine. With Dr Alatar you are more than a number or a dollar sign! You really do matter to her! There have even been times I have had an acute health need and she took it upon herself to call me personally (literally just before a Hurricane was set to arrive) to relay valuable medical info to me and my family as to not leave us hanging and to ensure my treatment was not delayed. I have been seeing Dr. Alatar for many years. She truly listens and takes the time she needs with you. I never feel rushed and always feel like she is listening to my concerns. She is a great doctor who I would recommend to anyone. My husband now goes to her as well and shares my feelings. I have a fear of needles and she always works with me and makes me feel comfortable in her office. She really does understand that all patients are different and what may be nothing to one person is a whole lot of anxiety to another person.

I have been a patient of Dr. Kira Alatar for about 10 years. She is always prepared for my appointments; she will have reviewed my chart and messages and will be up-to-date on the latest developments in treatments and medications. She is the most thorough, competent physician I have ever met. She also demonstrates a professional, cordial concern for my well-being. She listens very carefully and gathers reports from specialists I've seen to integrate a wellness plan for me. Her kindness makes me feel welcome to share my concerns and questions. I recently saw Dr. Alatar for a virtual visit. She went through all my historical labs and found where my last doctor dropped the ball. She is great at looking through medical records/history and finding the "cracks" so they can be fixed. I trust her completely to be my doctor. He nurse girls are friendly and explain everything as it is happening. I am so glad I have these ladies on my medical team. All of them are an asset to the Wilmington Health Team. I would also like to acknowledge Lashay in the lab. She is so funny and I enjoy seeing her when I need bloodwork done.

Thorough, Compassionate, Detailed!!! Dr. Alatar covered my medical history in it's entirety. She recommended medications specific to my exact symptoms. She took her time to talk with me about my health history and made me feel like more than a patient. I'm actually looking forward to my next visit with her! Dr. Alatar and her staff epitomize Family Practice professionalism. Her peaceful presence and kind manner have made my husband, two young children, & I feel like family. My children are actually EXCITED to get to go see her and her staff at our appointments. She is attentive to our every need, some we didn't even recognize ourselves. Dr. Alatar is the best Family Medicine Doctor I've ever had. She is so knowledgeable on any topic I've ever brought up to her..... up-to-date on latest medical information and findings ..... always listens and makes suggestions in a calm and ever-so-caring way. I love my appointments with Dr. Alatar. She always takes her time with you and really listens to you. She's is excellent when it comes to addressing your concerns and will have her nurse return your phone calls especially if you are experiencing pain. She has been known to call back herself if it involves changing a course of treatment if the first one tried did not have the desired effect. I have recommended her to over 15 of my friends who all love her as I do. I'm so glad she's my doctor.
