I came as a new pt late in my pregnancy due to insurance reasons. I have felt so much better since switching to Dr. Asumgha. Like every other OB office, appointments go quick and there can be a bit of a wait. Dr. Asumgha has a very gentle spirit which shows he genuinely cares for his patients. Things never feel rushed and he takes the time to answer any questions. I’m a first time mom and have worked in healthcare for 7 years so when I say I couldn’t ask for more in a Dr I genuinely mean that. His bedside manner is great and his work history is impressive. I first became a patient of Dr. Asumugha about 18+ years ago. He delivered 2 of my babies and countless friends and family members babies. I sent everyone I knew to him. Everyone loved him. He truly cares about people. I remember once having to plan a visit around him being away to another country helping those less fortunate. He has a great heart. I am so lucky to have found Dr Asumugha!! I am currently 7 months pregnant, and recently switched over to Dr Asumugha. My previous OB GYN doctor was horrid, never listened to his patients, and was basically there to just cut a check every day. I would go home crying every single time I left an appointment, because I felt my baby and I were not in the care we were supposed to be in due to my autoimmune issues, but then I was recommended to Dr Asumugha and do NOT regret it whatsoever! Dr Asumugha is so caring, actually listens to my concerns, and most importantly, ACTUALLY cares and is concerned about my babies needs. The only thing I regret is not finding him sooner, and being in his care since the very beginning of my pregnancy! If I could give negative 10 stars I would! The staff is rude, and was actually talking trash about another patient while I was standing in front of them at the counter! I went because I am having female troubles, and he refused to do any testing. He walked me out of the office to the front counter to be released. I had to ask of he was going to schedule any testing. He walked me back into the exam room and said "there is no magic wand that can tell us what is happening. Take the birth control and the problem will get better. The fact is it has not gotten better, and a different Dr actually had the sonographer wave that litteral magic wand he said didn't exist! She had testing done, and now we are treating what is wrong with me! Do not give this man your business! You are worth so much more than a rude staff and a brush off by this doctor! Do not go to this doctor! Staff is really rude and the Doctor doesn't care about his patients and doesn't take his time to do his job right. I went for an appointment and was charged $135, the nurse just took my weight and I gave her my urine sample, then the doctor came in to the room and just gave me a prescription to treat the symptoms I was having, and said my results would be ready in 2 weeks. He was only in the room for 2 minutes max. The 2 weeks have passed and I got a call that I need to pay $135 again just to get my results. I asked why I have to pay again if I'm only going to get my results, not for anything new. And they said because the doctor is giving me the results, I asked if they could send them to me instead, and they said no. What upset me the most was I paid 135 the first time and the doctor didn't even diagnosed me, he didn't even let me ask him any questions I had, he just walked in gave me the prescription, told me to come back in 2 weeks and walked out. Dr.Asumugha is an amazing Dr. He delivered both of my kids. I would recommend him any day. He is kind, caring & gentle. He is very attentive. Thank you Dr. Asumugha For always taking care of me, I will never choose another Dr. :)

He delivered all 3 of my kids and he saved my sons life.

Wouldn't recommend any other Dr. He goes straight to the point, helps you in time of need. Like that my appointment was made the same week. I was happy and I thank Dr for listening and taking care of me.

He provided care during all of my pregnancies (3) but funny thing is, he never made it the hospital to deliver any because I had them fast! He'll never provide care for me again because I AIN'T HAVING NO MO' KIDS! ???????? God bless Dr. Asumugha!

I had an appointment at 9am and I had waited for an hour and the doctor wasn't even in the office. Will not recommend this place

Wonderful doctor but the most unprofessional medical staff I have ever come across.

Horrible experience!! I called for well woman's exam and when I got there had to wait almost 2 hours to be called back. I get to the back and the nurse asks all the typical questions of any new patient. Medical history, medications, etc. Asked if I had any pelvic pain or bleeding. I figured this is all standard, "normal" procedures. Anyway, I finally see the doctor in his office and he asks some questions too. I told him I had fibroids and pain and complications due to the fibroids. He asks how do I know I have fibroids! Really?? I felt insulted because he made it sound like I diagnosed myself! Anyway, I finally go to the room for the examination. I was confused because I was only asked to undress from the waist down. So, he only did a pelvic exam. I didn't even get a breast exam, but it was so uncomfortable and he didn't seem to be gentle at all, so I was ready to just go without even bothering to ask for any other services. He suggested I get an ultrasound to confirm, so I went to the desk to schedule an ultrasound. Well, she tells me it's a $40 copay because it's a special visit. I said, what do you mean special visit? She said, a well woman's exam is free, but I had "something" that required a referral etc. I advised her that I didn't have anything extra. I came in for a well woman's exam and didn't even get a thorough exam! She looked over the paperwork and asked what did I get. I said a well woman's exam. That's what I called and made an appointment for and you verified before I walked in what I was coming in for, so I don't understand the confusion! Then the nurse says, Well, you said you had pelvic pain and bleeding, so that's not considered a normal exam. I advised I've been experiencing this and that's not why I came in! I specifically came for a well woman's exam. I told them to cancel the ultrasound and I don't want anything extra!!So, after going back and forth for a few minutes. The receptionist says, Ok, its free. It's covered 100% by your insurance. I was so annoyed that they tried to get over on me and ask me to pay for something that is knowingly supposed to be free!! I didn't get a Merry Christmas from anyone including the doctor! I sat there and watched people come and go for 2 hours and they were all acknowledged with "Merry Christmas", but I'm the new patient and I didn't feel the welcome or aprreciation from anyone in the entire office! Let me explain my rating. This rating is not against the doctor, but against his nursing staff. The nurse I dealt with was rude, did not check vitals, and made incorrect assumptions. When the doctor wanted to do an exam, the nurse made a point to come BACK into my exam room and tell me *in a very condensing tone) that my insurance wouldn't cover it...when in fact my insurance would because it was part of my WELL WOMAN exam. I left that office without an exam, paid $20 and feeling violated and just upset with how u was treated. I did go back in and speak with the doctor in his office and he tried to make it right...but as long as that nurse is there I will never go back. I will find another GYN to see me. He is an amazing doctor. He went through great lengths to make sure I had the best prenatal and postpartum care. He was also extremely comforting during our miscarriage. He delivered my two children and will be delivering my third on the way!!

One of the greatest and professional Specialist I know!!! Very please with his services...

I went in as a new patient, but I didn't feel welcomed by him or his nurse. I simply wanted a well woman's exam and I answered all questions regarding my previous and current health. Well, I went to check out and schedule my next appointment and they wanted to charge me for a "special" visit. I didn't understand why they were trying to charge me for something that is covered at no cost with insurance. They finally said it's free and everything is covered! I have never experienced this anywhere!

Receptionist who answered the phone 12.21.15 at 1:14pm has an unwelcoming spirit with how she responds. She was very dry when asked if they accepted a certain type of insurance. "No we don't, she said. I replied. "Thank you," she simply hung up on me without saying anything else. What a b* attitude.

Forget getting lab work results, unless you want to pay $25 for them. First, they told me they cannot mail results to my home. When I questioned that, as I know that it's *not* against HIPAA, I was told that I can come pick up my results; however, it will cost me $25. Sorry, I'm going to *pay* to be inconvenienced?? Umm, no, thanks. I will just go to my normal doctor at The Women's Hospital of TX to have them finish up the job that Dr. Asumugha's office cannot or will not complete. After losing a child 3 weeks ago, it should be standard procedure to allow the pt the assurance that her HCG level is back to normal and that she is no longer anemic due to previous blood-loss. Kelsey Seybold doesn't even charge to provide blood-work results. I'm pretty sure this doctor's office already got paid very well by my insurance. It's really disappointing, because the only other complaint I have is that the wait for my follow-up visit was nearly 2 hours. Great Dr. ! He delivered all my kids and helped me out with a terrible miscarriage, I had no idea I was expecting a baby and I was bleeding out and he came to the hospital at 4 or 5 A.M . and did an emergency D&C no other Dr. In the hospital was able to control my bleeding but he knew what to do thanks to him I'm still alive and enjoying every minute with my kids and family! I have been to this doctor for 13 years. He has made my family his family. I have changed, eye doctors, primary care and any other doc but for the last 12 years and until he retires, I will not change him. He delivered all babies in my family for the last 18 years. Some women fear a Male OBG. I feel the most comfortable and safe with him. He is always has patience and explains everything. The staff remembers their patients too. I don't know what the point of an appointment is? I got here at 10:50 for my 11am appointment. It's 12:10 and I'm still in the waiting area. This always happens. I'm done coming here.

I hated going to Dr. Asumugha. He was always rude and treated me like a # or check rather than a caring doctor. After he diagnosed me with a RUPTURED OVARIAN CYST he did nothing else. No follow up and no pain medication. He has so many people that go to him on government insurance that he treats even insured patients the same. The staff was always losing my information and was never good with keeping up with appointments. The wait was almost always over 2 hours and the billing was ridiculous. I hated going to Dr. Asumugha.
