Dr. Udall and his staff are great, always putting the patient first!
The wait wasn't long. The check in was quick and the person checking me in was very polite. The medical assistant was professional and polite. Dr. King Udall listened and showed genuine concern for why I was there. I left my appointment feeling that all my concerns had been addressed

Dr. Udall has been keeping me alive for many many years
Love Dr. Udall. Been seeing him for over 20 years.
Dr Udall is great, he is excellent in his diagnosis, always on time and very efficient in his work! I also like his transparency -sharing his true opinion of what you should do to be healthier. The Intermountain admin are amazing! very responsive, professional and nice. They answer calls fast, and their check in process always go smoothly.
I was not a regular patient of Dr Udall's and only saw him once because there was a mixup with the scheduling. I complained of ongoing and worsening nerve pain related to shoulder and neck movement (3.5 weeks into dealing with it). Dr Udall wrote a referral to physical therapy (PT) for me, which is appropriate, but he never looked at or palpated/felt the area, nor did he ask questions to help pinpoint or to understand what made it feel better or worse. I also told him I have a family history of a spinal condition (I told him which one) and personal history of a condition that causes loose joints, neither of which he asked for details about or investigated the relevance of. Feeling a little dismissed, I asked what I could do in the interim (between seeing him and my PT appt) to make the symptoms more bearable. He told me to keep doing what I was doing. I asked for clarification on ice vs heat, to which he advised I do what made it feel better and avoid what made it feel worse. I then asked whether I should rest or gently stretch the area every day, to which he advised I leave that up to PT. He also suggested I take Tylenol for pain if I wasn't (including appropriate dosage). All accurate; all unhelpful. While he was never rude, I personally felt that Dr Udall seemed to be aiming for fulfilling policy guidelines (correctly) with no desire to go above and beyond or to treat me as an individual. He demonstrated good care in inquiring about my high blood pressure. When I explained it's part of a chronic condition and being treated by another provider, I felt he was skeptical and his insistence on wanting treatment details seemed.. odd. But I support a provider insisting too much versus too little and was glad to see he cared about such an important and often under-discussed condition. In explaining my symptoms to schedule with PT, I was told it was unusual that the provider hadn't ordered imaging/an MRI of the area. I later messaged my main provider (using the MyHealth app) to ask about the situation; he ordered an MRI the next day (to be completed before seeing PT). I don't believe Dr Udall was negligent or a terrible doctor, but I do feel he could have done more and responded better in my specific situation. It was unfortunate. Oh, also, his current MA is fantastic and lovely and personable. She's awesome; 5 stars for her.

Was good
Dr. Udall and his staf are fantastic.
Friendly & helpful people. Clean & easy access to the facilities.
Dr Udall has been my doctor for about 35 years. I couldn't ask for better care . Thanks Dr Udall !
Dr. Hancey and his team are really the best of the best. Thorough, kind, supportive and they know exactly what they are doing. I trust him and wouldn’t use another Plastic Surgeon for my future needs, unless he’s referred me to someone because it’s outside of the scope of work he does as a surgeon.
BAD DOCTOR IF YOU'RE HEAVY OR HAVE AFFECTIVE DISORDERS I was going through old medical records and found some transcriptions from my visits when I was his patient. I was in my early 40's at the time of the records, and the transcript said, "Patient is mildly obese at 230 lbs and needs to lose 100 lbs.) At the time, I walked or hiked for an hour a day, and had about 140 lbs. of lean body mass. Currently, I'm in my mid-50's, and I have 138 lbs of lean body mass. See the problem? Additionally, I recall going to his office in a full-blown panic attack, heart rate around 120, and telling him of my symptoms, and he said, "Well, what would you like me to do about it?" Um...I dunno, man, you're the doctor. I asked you for help. He sent me home with a powerful sedative. I only took one pill and threw out the rest.

Dr. Udall has been my primary care physician for more than 40 years. He and his staff are professional and caring. Dr. Udall is the most compassionate and proficient doctor and person you could wish for. I highly recommend him as a personal and family medical care provider.
10/10 incredible doctor
Have been seeing Dr. Udall for around 3 years since I moved to the slc area. The last visit I had left me feeling like I may as well have not gone in at all. When having a yearly physical IHC has you fill out an extensive medical history which is frustrating considering I have seen doctors within their network for years and they have an extensive medical history on file. In addition Dr. Udall clearly did not review my medical history at all. I asked to have a full thyroid panel and he was unaware that I ever had thyroid issues even though he has prescribed me medication for that in the past. He did not order a full thyroid panel despite my requesting it and only tested one of the levels. Too close to retirement maybe? Hmm Have been seeing Dr. Udall for around 3 years since I moved to the slc area. The last visit I had left me feeling like I may as well have not gone in at all. I had an issue with a insurance not wanting to fill my seizure meds. He went out of his way to make everything work as did the Nurse that works with him. Smart, gentle, easy to speak to and good sense of humor.

Dr. Udall is a caring and compassionate man. His staff is amazing & I have never been left waiting for an unreasonable amount of time. He is thorough and genuinely seems to care about my health and well being. I feel lucky to have found him.
Dr. King Udall is a great Dr.! I’ve known him since I was a young child. He is very knowledgeable and very skilled. He was able to pull out a bullet from my back when I was shot. The ER left it in and it hurt laying on it. He was able to get it out very quick and I’m glad he did. If you want an experience Dr go see this man. He is great.

Dr. Udall is an excellent listener, and never makes me feel like he is in a hurry. His broad knowledge of Family Medicine is excellent. If there is anything out of his field of expertise, he is great to recommend a specialist. Every specialist he has ever recommended to me has been an excellent choice. He is especially good in the prevention of heart disease. He has been on top of my husband's blood pressure and cholesterol levels which has yielded positive results.
Dr. Udall is an old fashioned doctor with horse sense. He is kind, and he cares about my health. He isn't afraid to help you with what you need, and unlike that horrible Dr. Romney the Younger, he treats you with respect, and takes his time with you. I hope he never ever retires.
