Dr. Kim Stearns is a fantastic Surgeon! "Doc" has been treating me for over 30 years and I am so very grateful for his amazing craft of putting my body back together! I can walk, (many knee surgeries and final replacements), I can hold my grand babies in my arms, (many shoulder surgeries). My quality of life is a wonderful gift and I owe it all to Dr. Kim Stearns! I'll be having my third left shoulder surgery soon. I'm in great hands❤️‍ and his staff ROCKS!

Awful visit, staff is great, but he was not. Very quick and could care less about you.

Never will I ever refer anyone to this doctor. He was dismissive, never asked how the pain in my hip has affected my life, the ortho doc I saw the day before does not perform hip replacements and said this is what I needed, when I saw Dr. Stearns the next day he states I have nothing wrong with my hip, and I am too young for hip replacement! That was the most ludicrous thing I ever heard, I have a host of doctors telling me all the ways it is my hip and then I meet this guy! What a waste of time, learn some respect and stop looking at age, I'm 45 and maybe if I was 75 I would have received help. Never will I ever refer anyone to this doctor. Dr. Stearns and his staff, Are one of the best group of people in the medical field, I have ever met. They're professional , caring, And they listen to the patient.I met Dr. Stearns, After having a very bad experience with another doctor.The reassurance. Of his Orthopedic skills, repairing my joints. Dr Stearns gave me back my life with a bilateral knee replacement, people said I was crazy getting both knees replaced at once but he truly is that good. A straight forward professional. It’s only been 10 days and I feel like a completely different person. Thanks Dr Stearns and thanks to the whole team. You are the best!!!

Dr.Stearns took care of me after a fall that broke my fibula & ankle.This dr.is very compassionate and his staff mimics his care.I. am 65 and this was a life changing event for me.Dr.Stearns is a quiet gentle man who did the cast himself to make sure it was what he wanted even though he had competent staff who could have done it.I was so scared going into surgery but his staff took care of my fear. Dr.Kim Stearns gave me back my life I'm only a few days post-OP and I already can feel a significant difference he did a total knee replacement for me .I very highly recommend Dr.Stearns and his team if you are considering a total knee replacement. I’ve had the worst treatment and experience from this doctor and his staff. Very unprofessional non-caring doctor. He told me that there was nothing wrong with my knee unrealized The amount of pain I was in. He ordered me two prescriptions and told me come back see me in a month. I would never go back to See this doctor. Funny those prescriptions are from a different state and I had to call and keep up with the order to see when they will ship it because they told me at the hospital that the pharmacy would contact me and nobody did. Dr. Stearns is a fantastic surgeon... I have had both my shoulders replaced, back surgery, kidney surgery, knee surgery and I can honestly say that the hip replacement surgery that Dr. Stearns performed on me was the best and most successful of them all... I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Stearns if you are in need of a hip replacement. He gave me my quality of life back!

Had a Total Knee Replacement done in January. Everything went well and all the follow up visits have been good. Dr. Stearns takes time to answer all questions. The whole staff has been very helpful, friendly, and professional.

I have had 3 surgeries with him. He’s not a warm and fuzzy guy. If you need that, go somewhere else. He’s an excellent surgeon.

That’s the worst unprofessional doctor I’ve ever seen along with his staff. Very rude careless doctor. I waited for an hour for him to see me for 2 minutes. Very rude heartless doctor. Doesn’t even know what he’s doing.

I had surgery with this doctor, the treatment is very unprofessional, after the surgery and twice I went to the office with severe pain in the knee and refuse to give medication to relieve the pain and inflammation of the knee. I do not recommend these doctors are only interested in charging the medical insurance, regardless of the condition in which their patients are. Currently I can hardly walk, or move the knee so swollen that it is still inside, and not even anti-inflammatory give you. It's sad how they treat their patients. I went to 3 other drs before going to Dr. Stearns. All of my other drs said I needed a knee replacement but refused to do it. Dr. Stearns said he wasn’t going to send me home to sit for 30 years until I could have my replacement. Come to find out his whole team couldn’t believe how bad my knee was. They thought I was in my 70’s when I’m only 21. His whole team and all the nurses and aids were wonderful and I would highly recommend him and his team to anyone. He is the most unprofessional, rude and insulting physician I have ever encountered in my personal and professional experience. He spent 3 minutes with me the first apointments and cut me off each time I tried to explain my symptoms. During my second appointment to discuss my MRI results, he could not answer any of my questions stating “I am a hip replacement doctor. You don’t need a hip replacement. I don’t know what else you want me to tell you.” After I reminded him that I was there to find the reason for my running related hip pain he stated, “and you’re taking up an appointment time of someone who needs a hip replacement.” I am a medical professional with a physical therapist as a husband and the answer to the one question he actually let me finish asking and answered did not make sense physiologically. If you would like a condescending physician who will not listen to your symptoms and will not answer your questions, Dr. Stearn is your guy.

Dr. Kim Stearns replaced my right hip in 2013. He explained precisely how it would go, how long I would be out of work and what to expect. The surgery was performed and everything went exactly the way he described. I appreciate the great treatment and followup treatment I've had. The new hip is wonderful and pain is gone. I highly recommend Dr. Stearns for hip replacement.

I was refer to ortopédicos because of pain in my neck and shoulder. I had been in pain for weeks and was finally hopeful something would get done to alleviate my pain. Instead, he saw me for around 3 minutes, would not allow me to finish my explanation, interrupted me as if I was taking up too much of his time, and told me he is a shoulder guy not a neck guy. He stopped my questions and acted as if he would return, a nurse showed up to show me out, I had to ask her the results of my x-rays.

On a scale on 1- 10 I'd give Dr. Stearns and my surgery a 15. My surgery was in Aug. His nurse and PA I'd give a 1. That's why I couldn't give 5 stars. The office staff get a 10. They are nice and friendly. Dr. Earned it. His PA and nurse want to also be drug counselors. Since my pain hasn't went away they have dismissed me. They have from day 1. I've often wondered if they've had double knee replacements as I did. If your not healing like they feel you should, too dang bad. They are unprofessional and argumentative. They will not return my calls. Never been treated like this by health care professionals. And youd think the Clinic would have exceptional staff as they do Doctors. Nope!!!! I had to drive an hour a week for a script. The PA waited one week until the day of a Friday snow storm to make the script available. The whole state knew it was coming. Just mean. Never never ask about how im feeling. They told me how I should feel. And the nurse told me off in front of the office of ppl! NO exaggeration. I fell flat on the floor at Rehab 5 days after surgery. I also hurt myself in Therapy by using too much weight. I have suffered more pain than I should have healing. I still am hurt. They told me to go to a Pain Dr. Why? Dr. Stearns told me I'd have pain till the end of winter. And he knew what he was talking about. I'm sitting here as I write this hurting!!!!! My mobility without meds is limited due to pain. And all they told me was, go to the pain Dr. Hopefully they treat others better. But my treatment has been bad. Ive taken witnesses to appts with me. The nurse never disappoints. She came in speaking down to me. The PA just ignores you. Again, Dr. Is given a 15. PA and nurse a 1. Maybe even a 0 seeing this written out. They have DOGGED me. And who can you tell that wont take up for them? I sit here in pain, can't afford a Pain Dr. Shouldn't have to. But still under Dr. Stearns care. Had total hip replacement, from beginning to end and it's still healing, him, his office, the hospital and staff all Number #1, if you need a hip replacement I cannot imagine finding any other Doctor and his team where you could end up with better results then Dr.Sterns. I know for me personally, should I ever need anything like this again I will not go anywhere else. Don't waste time elsewhere else make your appointment today. Three years ago I had a total hip replacement on my left side. I have felt fabulous ever since. Two weeks ago it was time as Dr Stearns said to get a matching set! Again feeling fabulous just 2 weeks out. Dr Stearns is amazing! He made me feel very relaxed prior to the surgery. His bedside manner is warm and caring. Probably the worst experiences I've had. I could hear the doctor complaining about how I even got on his schedule for that day. He was too busy and he was leaving for spring training. Blew in giving me a painful rudimentary exam, tells me he really squeezed me in, left for 30 seconds to look at my scans and comes back to tell me to do PT and see him as soon as he gets back. Wouldn't answer my question about prognosis and implied at 45 years old I shouldn't expect a fully functional knee.

He performed my hip replacement which I have been having issues with ever since. He has not been helpful, nor supportive as I seek a better outcome. Search elsewhere for your surgeon.

Kim Stearns was rude, dismissive, demeaning and cocky to me. I went to him for a second opinion and he treated me like I had malintentions (which could not be further from the truth of the matter). I feel hopeless and disrespected after meeting with him.

Dr Kim Stearns has been my surgeon/doctor for almost 20 years and is wonderful, kind and talented! Without Dr Stearns I would not be able to walk or to use my arms! He is AMAZING! And a miracle worker!
