I've been seeing Dr Lai since I was 14yr old I now am 21. Entering a clinic where you mostly see adults as patients can be a little scary but Dr Lai and his amazing staff made me feel welcomed and safe. Being a 14 yr old with a really messed up back getting told by ortho I was being dramatic and that pain management would return me had me really nervous to see him. Dr Lai then welcoming told me " no herniated disc size can really tell a doctor in how much pain you really are and I'm going to help you." He sure did after 3 treatments weeks apart I started feeling better. He then also treated me for other stuff that came along the way but he most definitely helped me stay positive. The support and reassurance he gave my parents during the bumpy road will i ever forget. 7 years of him seeing me just grew my appreciation for him. Thank you to him I'm walking and grew my interest in being in health care and helping other kids not just with what I do but with my heart to let them know I'm here for them. Thank you Dr.Lai for everything can't wait to go back and be a patient of yours again!! Alyssa Shery as well as the 2 new people in the front thank you so much for always welcoming me and being so sweet since the first day! To the 2 nurses that held my hand while in treatment seeing me young and scared I will never forget you. So if you are trying to see him don't doubt in going you are in the best hands helped by god! I have been seeing Dr. Lai now for about 5 years and I'm 100% satisfied. not only is he an amazing pain doctor with various options to help you with your issues he's a great listener. over the years he's even given me some great advice on things that have nothing to do with my back pain; I would consider him a friend. The staff is wonderful, always greeted warmly, always my information kept up most private, always help me with questions in regards to billing, scheduling of appointments or any other issues I may have. When giving epidurals and SI joint procedures I have to say he's got the gentlest hand in the West. I've been to three other doctors to get injections and he has been the best. if this doctor was to up and move his office to La I would follow him as I would recommend him to anybody. I’ve been seeing Dr. Lai for close to 7 years or so. He’s changed my life! I went in with terrible pain and he diagnosed conditions other doctors ignored or simply threw medicine at. He’s performed tons of outpatient procedures to alleviate pain, always explains every detail, and answers any question I have thoroughly. He gives options for treatment ranging from natural, surgery, medicine, or over the counter. He is truly everything you could ask for in a doctor. Plus, he is genuinely a great person and funny! His office staff is always fun to chat with and helpful. I’ve never had an issue in over 100 visits. Couldn’t recommend more.

I have been going to Dr Lai's for 11yrs. He has the best bedside manner. When I first came to see him the previous Dr had me on Fentanyl patch for my Spinal and Cervical Stenosis Dr Lai weaned me off of it as He doesn't believe in narcotics. I felt so much better but had to have a neck fusion. Dr Lai has given me injections over the course of the years which have helped me. Dr. Lai has been my pain management doctor for the last 8 years, and has helped keep me standing. Between my Fibromyalgia, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, and Degenerative Disk Disease, he has helped me find a balance that has greatly improved my quality of life. He listens, and is extremely knowledgeable. He also has a gentle touch when doing procedures.

I got taken seriously, which is huge. My treatment is in progress because I haven't gotten to where I can be pain-wise, but Dr. Lai is the first doctor that hasn't told me "bedridden once every other week is pretty good, you should keep doing what you're doing"

He helped me Resolve an issue that I had him for 7 years and no doctor came up with this conclusion but him and it actually worked. He's was accurate, quick and Brite and very personable. He is busy but worth wait for correct diagnosis. Not only is he a Psyciatrist he is also pain management management which you rarely find. I was looking for a psyciatrist to give me direction, and I got lucky with him being both.

Second doctor of 10 to take my pain seriously and as a significant detriment in my life, 1st of the 10 to not only offer up a diagnosis but the correct dx. He lets me know we're a team working together to combat the disorder/pain. He was also very clear with family members about what was going on and the level of pain being experienced.

My name is Ron P and I came into see Dr Lai with MRI results in hand that were NOT pretty...serious problems with Cervical Spine (c2, c3, c4, c5). He kept it real with me while never allowing me to lose hope; he's got the smile & bedside manner, GREAT skill, amazing neurosurgeon contacts and deep knowledge on managing all levels of pain. I had my 2nd epidural just over 24 hours ago and the pain is subsiding and finger numbing is now tingling...FREAK'N YAY!!!
