DR SHAFIQ HAS TO BE THE BEST HEART DOCTOR IN THIS REGION OF TEXAS… HE WAS MY MOTHERS HEART DOCTOR BACK IN THE 1990’S AND IM NOW 73 AND HE HAS BEEN MY HEART DOCTOR FOR MORE THAN 10 YEARS NOW… I WOULD NOT WANT TO GO TO ANY OTHER HEART DOCTOR BECAUSE HE AND THE GOOD LORD HAS KEPT ME ALIVE THRU OUT THE YEARS…I WOULD GIVE HIM 10 STARS IF OFFERED… AND HIS STAFF OF NURSES AND TECHNICIANS IS AS AWESOME AS HE IS, IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR AN AWESOME HEART DOCTOR LOOK NO FARTHER…TGBTG…!!!

I have to agree with previous posters. Dr. Shafiq is a wonderful doctor, if you can get passed the front desk and out of the waiting room. Most of the staff has been wonderful, but there are a few that the good Doc may want to replace.

Didn't see him only the nurse practioner. She was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Dr Shafiq is a good Dr.Thanks to him my husband is alive and doing well.He had open heart heart surgery 2 years ago after the VA told him he had allergy problems but it was his heart.Thank you Dr Shafiq.

1 star is too good of a review. His office staff calls as i'm headed to my appointment to tell me to "not bother coming" he won't be in the office today. I was supposed to get results of a very important test today. The lady who called me was rude and sounded inconvenienced when I asked questions. I will be looking for another doctor to handle my cardiac needs because Dr. Shafiq apparently don't care about his patients. His office staff can take a few courses in being polite to people on the phone also. Very unprofessional all around.

Dr. K saved my father's life and gave him many more years with us. His staff members are friendly, understanding, compassionate, and skilled. I cannot recommend this office highly enough.

Awful they don’t even deserve a 1 star I wish I could give a zero had to go back to office twice still not seen was supposed to get call with test results nothing. These people in the office are incompetent. I will be finding another cardiologist. They don’t even care enough to call you with the results of your stress test.

I accompanied my husband to his pace maker appointment yesterday. They have been monitoring the battery for months now to see when it needs replaced. When he was in. in Dec. they told him to come back in thirty days, well the people scheduled him for 29 Jan instead, which is almost 60 days. Yesterday, he was told it is time to replace the battery. We were instructed to give the paperwork to the front desk and they would get him set up with a time. The brown headed lady at the front window took his paper, looked at it, tossed it onto a pile of papers on the desk and said: "Brad will give you a call". When I asked her when we could expect that call from "Brad" , she looked at me and rather curtly said " It could be two weeks or more, I don't know". Well folks this is not acceptable. My husband has been struggling for months now with difficulty even getting up in the mornings, he has no strength to do much more than make it from the bed to the chair before he is give out. It is taxing for him to even cross the room to answer the phone. While Dr. Shafiq is a good Dr. , the women he has working for him are some of the rudest most uncaring people I have ever met. I also agree with the previous poster on "Nancy". I have had to deal with her in the past too. If something doesn't change in a hurry, we will be looking for another cardiologist. I Scheduled an appointment back in February at this facility. My appointment was Scheduled for March 29, 2017 @ 9:40 a.m. Some how the Scheduler. Got my information mix up with my sister. She practically told me i didn't know what i was talking about. Instead of simpy saying we made a mistake. She got to telling me she has been working there × amount of years. Blah Blah blah. So i called my sister and had her to call them. And geuss who was right? Me! So Nancy it might be time for retirement. And remember the customer is always right. I didn't want to see Dr. Shafiq that bad to steal someone elses appointment. You all want get any referrals from me. Or my business. Thanks but no thanks.
