Dodge this doctor if you want to actually find out what is going on with your child, not have medical records contain incorrect information, and not be told it’s due to “behavior”. I pushed for my child to have testing done, and ta-da study showed a medical issue, that has nothing to do with behavior! Yet his office called with results and he still had his MA tell us to do behavior things we spoke about in the office, and was shocked when I told her study shows it’s not behavior it’s medical issue so she stated well he said he can see another specialist but he thinks behavior will fix the issue.. wow just wow.

Dodge the doctor if you actually want to find out what is going on with your child! First they lied horribly in my sons record it’s sickening, quoting stuff that was not said and completely twisting things that were, I drew to his attention to it, he then blamed his resident and he pretty much said well that’s what they heard, so it stays.. falsifying records I guess the way to go in his office. Then they bullied my husband into agreeing no sleep study and we then got told my son sleep issues were due to “behavior” issues and needed to focus on sleep behavior i.e no electronics in room, nothing that stimulates him 2 hours before bed, etc. Well we told them we have tried that in past MANY times, but it doesn’t help; but did it again for awhile for a the I told you so conversation and how it didn’t work. We know our child, he was still snoring, grinding teeth, waking through the night gasping. I pushed for a sleep study and ta-da my son has Sleep Apnea!! SHOCKER!! /sarcasm. The best part is his MA called and he still recommended we follow the sleep behavior he suggested for treatment, cause a child can stop watching an electronic 2 hours before bed and just stop central sleep apnea?! What a joke!! After I said Um no, that does change sleep apnea, she said well.. you can see an ENT to have tonsils removed he said, but he thinks the sleep behaviors will do the trick.. Wow, just wow!!

If you want to spend your time not being listened to, and then being berated about your parenting (actual words that came out of his mouth: 'your child is manipulating you. She is parenting you, you are not parenting her') then go see him. I wish I could give him a negative rating. I have a special needs child, that I have worked with a large team of professionals with since she was an infant. I have never been treated so poorly. He questioned every physician we have ever worked with. Tried to change all of her medications right out of the gate, not even talking about weening her off! My pediatrician read his notes and was livid. We met with another specialist in his office last week and he confirmed that it was a physical issue, and not behavioral. And, so weird, he actually listened to what we told him. I left that appointment feeling like he understood the actual problem (instead of making one up in his head like Dr. Safi did) and helped us develop an action plan.
