Dr. Akbar is absolutely the best. After he left Mercy we were forced to see Akron children's, who took over his office at Mercy Lorain, since we did not know where he had gone. They were terrible, when my daughter became ill I was told I should find my old pediatrician. Well we did and we are so glad to be back with Dr Akbar as he actually really cares about his patients. Dr Akbar is always a great Dr. He answers all the questions I have an explains them too.

Dr. Akbar interacts well with his patients, but my daughter was under his care for several years and he was not able to determine that she had asthma which is concerning. It wasn't until we saw a specialist that she was eventually diagnosed and effectively treated for her asthma.
