Best neuro surgeon I've had...Not only did he get me back to normal he also had great bedside manne!! I would love to see him again but I don't have the gas to go to all the appointments..

My husband went to see this doctor today. He was disrespectful, condescending, and was not interested in answering questions. When we asked him a question, his answer was, “ I’ve already explained that several times.” He also told my husband that he didn’t need to know or understand the details of his injury. This is the first time I have ever written a review on anything but because I had such a horrible experience here, I had to warn other people about Dr. Zitnay. He was very disrespectful to me and very insensitive. I am pretty mellow and understand that people can have bad days and I dont get to bothered by how people act but he was just plain mean. He asked if I knew how to use Google in a condescending way, then proceeding to talk about his own experience and rudely told me I wasnt listening because I was wiping my tears away from my face after just hearing about my lab results...he then said "ill just tell your mom since you are not in the right mind set to listen" (my mom came with me to my appointment-which she was in complete shock by how he was being). He was rude, condescending, and was not helpful in any way. The only pleasant thing about my appointment was the receptionist, she was really nice. I would avoid coming to this doctor if you can. I had to have emergency neck surgery on August 2nd he was absolutely wonderful! Answered all my questions and made me feel completely at ease. The surgery was successful and I had no complications. My scare is small and not readily noticeable. Post surgery Dr. Zitnay came to see me for discharge instructions and again answered all of my questions and offered reassurance. One month and a few days later I have made a full recovery, no issues what so ever. I have no complaints and recommend for any spinal surgery. HORRIBLE SO RUDE NO BED SIDE MANNER

I am still having pain and they have me in physical therapy. I go back to him today and hopefully I will meet with him and not his PA. I want to know what is going on!

My mother in law went to see Dr. Zitnay today and he didn't even spend 5 minutes with her. She had an MRI and he didn't even review it with her. Wouldn't listen to any of her questions and brushed her off and walked out. Don't waste your time with this doctor. He used to be good, but not anymore.

Dr Zitnay has done surgery on my friend with excellent results twice and he fixed me up real good. He answered my questions and gave me my options. I totally recommend him!

I CAN'T SAY ENOUGH GOOD ABOUT DR. ZITNAY. I WAS HAVING TROUBLE (MAJOR) WITH MY TAILBONE. I COULD NOT SIT DOWN WITHOUT IT HURTING. I COULD NOT SLEEP BECAUSE IT HURT. I WENT TO DR. Z. AND HE REMOVED MY TAILBONE. I COULD NOT HAVE ASKED FOR BETTER CARE. HE TOOK FANTASTIC CARE OF ME AND I WOULD LIKE TO CALL HIM AN ANGEL!! I AM NOW PAIN FREE AND CAN SIT DOWN WITH EASE, THANKS TO DR. Z.

Avoid!!! Avoid!!! Avoid!! Post surgery care is non existent. He rushed to do surgery. Totally misled the patient as to expected after surgery results. Office does not return phone calls. Absolutely zero concern for the patient post surgery.

I've never heard of a doctor, especially a surgeon, who doesn't have after hour calls. You are told by an operator to go to the ER or call the office on Monday. Poor care and follow up.

Dr. Zitnay performed surgery on my back with great success. No pain other than my hip. His bedside manor is the best. I would recommend him for your surgery needs.

Dr. Zitnay did surgery on my neck. He did a great job! I can't say enough good things about him. My pain is totally gone. After surgery there was no need for pain medication. I am so glad that I chose a local doctor and didn't listen to all that said I should go to Pittsburgh. I can't say enough great things about Dr. Zitnay.

Dr. Zitnay operated on both my neck and back. I had chronic pain for over 10 years and tried everything. After two surgeries I have a nearly pain free life. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Zitnay.
