Dr Wolfe had just literally saved my life. Came into the ER presenting high fever, breathless, nausea, vomiting. Quick reaction on his and the Dr On Call (hospitalist) began to try to diagnose me. Several several tests were done and until a Bronchoscopy was performed he was scratching his head! Diagnosis is Creptogenic Organizing Pneumonia Less than 5k people have it in the US. Considered autoimmune. Treatable with Prednisone therapy. Been in the hospital for 15 days and going to a rehab center for two weeks to recover and get my strength back and ween me off oxygen! Long road to here but Dr Wolfe never gave up on me. I’m alive because of him and will be forever grateful to him. Beverly Jakob, Boone NC

I wouldn't know anything about Dr. Wolfe. As a would-be new patient the earliest appointment I could secure was 6 months out. (I could see his colleague in 3 months!) I thought it was a joke. (Indeed it is: a very bad one.) An amazing healthcare system. I can leave the country --which I plan to do-- and see a top-rated pulmonologist within a week to ten days.
