I was able to schedule an appointment quickly in spite of being a new patient. Dr. Sunshein treated my ingrown toenail the day of my first appointment, not requiring a second appointment for the procedure. I am very happy with the outcome.

Went in for a glass sliver I couldn't get out i pointed it on my foot Put on microscope glasses on pulled it out billed me for surgery insurance wouldn't cover not pre-approved $450 5 min procedure my other two doctors know of his corrupt practice not many doctors will talk bad about other doctors ????

Not really sure why anyone would give him anything less than 5 stars. I had a different podiatrist tell me that the recovery time for a surgery that he was going to recommend was 8 weeks, so I went to Dr. Sunshiein for a 2nd opinion. Best decision I've made in a while. Dr Sunshein took an x ray of my foot, and recommended a surgery. However, the surgery he recommended was much more practical. He seemed to have a more up to date approach than my previous podiatrist, so I decided to have the surgery he was recommending. I am walking around, with very little pain.... ONE WEEK AFTER SURGERY! No walking boot, no cast, nothing. My primary care physician told me that you should try and seek out medical professionals who do their best to stay up to date on the latest technology and methods. Dr. Sunshein is a perfect example of that. He does not use a one size fits-all approach, he adapts his treatments to suit his patients needs. He also uses an MLS laser post surgery to help reduce recovery time and promote healing. I don't know what an MLS laser is or how it works, but it definitely works. I couldn't be happier I read a few of the negative reviews. I'm not really sure why there are negative reviews about his office staff. I have only been a patient of his for a few months, so I can't speak to any of his previous employees. I can say that everyone who works in his office as of 2022 are very professional, and I haven't had any issues with billing or scheduling. Dr Sheinshein is more about lining his pockets with patient's money then really helping them. I purchased orthotics from him that do not fit correctly and even after multiple adjustments they hurt my feet and are contributing to knee issues. Sheinshein doesn't know how to correct them and one time said he would take make another pair at no charge but refused the last time I saw him. He lies. and cares little about really helping. I should sue him for malpractice. I am not the only one he has done this to. Do not go to this man for orthotics. He is a terrible doctor.

Dr. Sunshein has been 30 to 60 minutes late for every appointment I have ever had with him. He did surgery on my foot to remove some arthritis and we almost lost the OR because he was 45 minutes late, I was his first appointment. I just had a follow up appointment with him yesterday and finally saw him 50 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. He didn't want to actually hear me talk. He was dismissive and borderline confrontational about my foot pain. within about 5 minutes he was ready to schedule another follow-up appointment in 6 months. I told him don't bother, I will find a new doctor.

I have been seeing this salesman for 3 years. He is always 30-60 minutes late. I saw him yesterday after waiting for 50 minutes. He was very short with me and after about 5 minutes he was ready to schedule another appointment 6 months from now. I would never recommend him to anyone. I will be looking for a new doctor in the future.

I highly recommend going to Dr. Sunshein for any problems with your foot. I recently had bunion surgery on my left foot using the new Lapiplasty System. It is healing up fast and less pain than doing it the old way which I had done on my right foot 15 years ago. His staff if friendly and a special shout out to Cheryl who does wonders on scheduling your surgery and billing your insurance. I had consulted with three other doctors about my foot problem before consulting with Dr. Kevin Sunshein earlier this year (2020). I incurred an overuse trail running injury in 2019 that caused my ankle to roll inward, and the pain and discomfort eventually became un-manageable. The first doctor I saw immobilized my foot in a plaster cast for several weeks, which did not solve the problem. The second doctor I saw prescribed a walking cast for several weeks, which did not solve the problem. The third doctor I saw recommended surgical intervention, after which I would spend at least two months in a non-weight bearing cast, which did not sound appealing to me. So, I decided to consult with one more doctor before making a final decision. I went to see Dr. Kevin Sunshein at the suggestion of a colleague who highly recommended him. After the initial exam and x-rays, he recommended I try custom made orthotics before considering any kind of surgical intervention. I agreed to try them, but I have to admit, my expectations were pretty low. To my surprise, I was pain free on the first day I wore the biomechanical orthotics and was able to go without the elastic ankle brace I’d been wearing for a year. Months later, I am still pain free while wearing the orthotics, still not wearing the ankle brace, and no longer need to take OTC pain killers on a daily basis. The custom orthotics have way exceeded my expectations and I am very grateful to Dr. Sunshein for recommending them. Met Dr. Sunshein for the first time today. The physician I had met previously in his office had moved away and he was taking over my care. I requested to meet with him and review my case before casting my orthotics. He was very through in reviewing what had previously been done. We reviewed the X-rays, how the foot should function and how mine isn’t function the correct way. Discussed thoroughly the use of new orthotics I’ll be cast for next week. I appreciated the review of what was done and explanations of what the orthotics can do for me. Met the staff again and they were all very nice and professional. I made the mistake of seeing Dr Sunshein and that turned out to be a big disappointment. The guy gives a marketing spew about how good his orthotics are. But when pressed with some questions, he got defensive and somewhat arrogant and told me I was paying to get the advice of a trained expert and I can basically leave if I do not want it. A doctor should be able to gain his patient’s trust through his approach, actions, and politeness. I would not recommend this podiatrist.

Took my Athletic daughter to Dr. Sunshein for an ingrown toenail. He was able to fix it right away and she was only down for 2 days. Excellent doctor and staff!

Prescribed and made custom insoles but when the pain did not improve after months of use he suggested I could try laser treatments. When I asked him what does the laser treatment actually do he couldn't explain it to me and eventually said it doesn't usually work and the insurance wouldn't cover it. I expressed it didn't sound like a good option then he suggested injections for pain treatment but also said it has a low success rate and can only be done once. He never considered having an x-ray or any other examination done on the foot so I asked the office if I could get a second opinion from other doctor in the same office but when I showed up for that, the other doctor was busy and they started to send in Dr. Sunshein again. Pointed out there was no point since I was there for a second opinion.

I found Dr. Sunshein and his staff to be EXCEPTIONAL across the board. From the Admin. Team who set the appointments, great you, process you paperwork and check you out, I found them to be very friendly, helpful and quite frankly a joy to work with. Dr. Sunshein himself and his Patient Care Team preformed a very comprehensive diagnosis which was spot on with the issue I was having, worked through a series of exercises and therapeutic procedures and eventually recommending custom orthotics. I appreciated the stair-step approach to the diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Sunshein is a strong communicator which not only helps with the diagnosis but the treatment as well. I am pleased to say, the custom orthotics he made for me were the answer to me being pain free from a very bad bought with PlantarFasciitis. I would highly recommend Dr. Sunshein and his Team for these reasons; strong clinical diagnosis, therapeutic options, amazing staff and they Care about their patients wellbeing

Dr Sunshein is more of a salesman than a podiatrist. He will sell you an expensive pair of hard plastic orthotics and indicates that they can be adjusted to support your feet perfectly. But if they don’t fit properly, he offers no expertise in diagnosing the issue or even adjusting the orthotic as advertised. The only “adjustment” he offered to the orthotic is to use a heat gun to reset it to its original size if it has lost some of its support. I would not recommend Dr Sunshein.

I stress fractured a bone in my foot. Dr Sunshein said it wasn't stress fractured after the initial x-ray he took and again about 3 1/2 weeks later. I continued in pain with no help from him because he couldn't read an x-ray. I initially him for painful feet. He recommended orthotics and Lacer therapy. Very $$$$. The orthotics were causing my feet to go numb. I told him I felt this was the case. He insisted that his orthotics were not the reason for my numbness. In pain and very upset. I decided to find another doctor. So, I decided to go to Cleveland Clinic Ortho Department and saw a doctor there. He was wonderful. He took x-ray's and indeed the there was a healing stress fracture where Dr Sunshein said there wasn't. Also, that the numbness was because of the orthotics and it was recommended I get rid of them. He also recommended a certain type of shoe. I took his advice and got the shoes and after wearing them the numbness in my feet has gradually gone away. My feet fell better now than they have in a long time. So glad I went to Cleveland Clinic

Part three: 24 hours later I was back to the pain I had prior orthotics. I could not complete PT the next day or for the following 2 appts. I called to be seen today. The staff had to wait until this afternoon only to be told that he would not work me in today and to go back to the initial “breaking in” new orthotic schedule. I explained the pain in my feet, ankles, right knee, right hip and spine to no avail! I am in a debilitated state of pain and have to wait a full week to be seen. I know my body and my needs!

The over-the-counter arch supports I used for 10 years no longer controlled my plantar fasciitis, and I couldn't walk without severe pain in my left foot last winter. Dr. Sunshein was recommended and has lived up to his reputation! As soon as I wore his custom inserts, my foot began to heal, and I no longer have any pain at all. His inserts have given me my mobility back. He and his staff are so kind and efficient, it's actually a pleasure to go see them.

Terrible experience working with the office staff. Incorrectly billed multiple times. Received letters threatening collection and reporting on my credit when my account has been OVERPAID for months. Have been working with billing for 4 months trying to get the overage refunded and billing errors corrected. As of today issues continue to be unresolved. Dr. Sunshein was excellent! He was able to diagnose a problem that I've had for years (and seen other podiatrists without success) and recommend a course of action that has been working great! I thought that I would have to need surgery and would never run again. Dr. Sunshein has caused my daily pain to go away and I am on my way to recovery. Dr Sunshein has been my podiatrist for several years and, in fact, has performed a rather rare surgery on my foot with great results. I now can walk without pain post-surgery. This is a big deal, as I used to be a distance runner and am still very active. Having a podiatrist one can trust and who remains in the cutting edge of the latest technology in foot care is very important to me. Dr Sunshein’s MLS Laser is also a wonderful resource in healing torn foot and ankle tissue and broken bones. I will add that Dr Sunshein is also very philanthropic and supports my foundation every year. His generosity of time and resources is deeply appreciated. In my opinion from several visits Dr Sunshein is a good sales person for his products and will keep you returning for more office calls so be ready for excuses that he can not affectively correct your medical issues. What a joke and very painful waste of time

I went to Dr Sunshein after getting 4 opinions all other doctors wanted to put me in a brace or surgery. The brace was not working and hard to use. Dr Sunshein said I can help you and he did. He has a new method he uses arch supports and adjusts them every month or so. I was in lots of pain so much pain I could not sleep or walk now after 1 yr treatments I am pain free and hope to take my supports to Paris. His staff has always been very friendly and helpful.

I had read some other reviews about long wait times, but decided to take a gamble anyway due to other positive comments, and I'm glad that I went. The wait time was short for me (about 15 minutes). Dr. Sunshein was able to answer my questions satisfactorily and also provided me with additional insight into my feet that I did not even inquire about. I was quite pleased with the visit and was glad that I went.

I have twice been a patient of Dr. Sunshein. In the first instance he helped me with plantar fasciitis when others could not. I am currently seeing him for a new treatment for nerve damage called Neurogenix. It has changed my life!! Dr. Sunshein is a progressive doctor who is way more interested in the "basic level" of "standard of care". He is passionate about learning every new development regarding his speciality and passing that level of knowledge onto his patients! Thank you Dr. Sunshein!!

The best decision I every made was getting Orthopaedic inserts, I admit I was apprehensive at first but Dr Sunshein told me from the beginning he could get my feet better and I am so glad I listened and read the articles and watched the videos. I feel 110 percent better. His staff is also very caring and professional, I have referred many of my friends to his office BEST PODIATRIST EVER ??

Terrible service! Cancel appointments without any concern for patients. They said they called my 'daughter' and she cancelled the appointment. I do NOT ve a daughter. How could they talk to her? No apologies, send me to another doctor, arrogant, petty service!

I was referred to Dr. Sunshein from my chiropractor after having a bad experience from another local podiatrist. Dr. Sunshien's office promptly scheduled an appointment for me. The staff was friendly and very helpful. I have plantar fasciitis and was having trouble putting any type of pressure on my feet. I was fitted for an ortho. My feet feel great! Dr. Sunshein has been the best thing that has ever happened to my feet! I have referred many to his office and will continue to do so. I have plantar fasciitis and was told by another Podiatrist that I would have to have surgery. I then saw Dr. Sunshein who put me in custom made orthotics. The pain has decreased exponentially and I am able to exercise without the severe pain afterwards.

Terrible office management. Routinely runs very late. Most recently I showed up on time for a 9:30 appointment and the 8:30 appointment was still waiting to be seen. When I told them I couldn't wait 60-90 minutes past my appointment time, they said they could re-schedule. I asked another client if this was "typical" and they said "yes, we routinely run very late." Why could't they at least call me and let me know they are running 60-90 minutes late?

Dr. Sunshein did an excellent job in treating my painful heal spur. I have never had a recurrence.

I have been a patient for a few years. He has always helped my problems. I recommend him all the time. He is not only a very good Dr., is is a very nice person.

First appointment was over 45 minutes past the appointment time before I was seen. Second appointment was a follow-up and again had to wait about 45 minutes past appointment before being seen. For the second appointment I actually called to see how far behind schedule he was and was told 5 minutes.
