The first appointment I sat in the exam room for 45 minutes. For the second appointment I drove to the office, waited 30 minutes in the exam room only to be told he had no test results yet and would have to reschedule. I tried to talk to him some and he turned and walked away while I was still speaking, saying he'd have someone reschedule. There was no one available to make the appointment so I left. Later on the phone I was able to schedule something with the Nurse Practitioner. Dr Sherer would be available in four months.

If you have an issue with sleep apnea, COPD, Hypoxemia, Hypoxia, or any other pulmonary condition, do not hesitate. Make an appt. You may have to wait longer than you deem reasonable, BUT GO. Within 10 minutes, and a thorough review of my records, tests, and history, (BEFORE HE WALKED IN THE ROOM), he knew what was causing a life threatening condition. It had been missed by surgeons, Radiologists, and every specialist I had seen for the previous 18 mo. His bedside manner is direct. No hand holding. But he uses his words carefully, making sure you know and understand what his plan of Care recommendation is. And will not hesitate to refer you to the best care he feels appropriate. No drive to waste your time and money doing unnecessary costly testing. His expertise is top of the line. And incidentally, I am a medical professional.
