Dr. Kevin W Luke

I trust Dr. Luke entirely. He did both knee replacements and a hip replacement. I'm now five + years from the surgeries and never had a problem. Recovery was very good, by following his directives. He is to the point when explaining the plan of action and doesn't waste time.

Dr Luke was easy to talk to and very pleasant. He answered all my questions and I never felt rushed through.

All questions were answered I would not go anywhere else for orthopedic problems

Suffering from arthritic pain, I visited Dr. Luke for a gel injection in my knee. Even though I’ve had this done a number of times before, Dr. Luke explained everything that he was doing, every step of the way.

Dr. Luke goes above and beyond to make sure his patients are recovering well and his work is like no other … just Excellent. My mom had both knees replaced with great success. His staff phenomenal as well … his nurse Liz was beyond helpful, attentive and kind. Just fantastic!

My first meniscus tear was treated by a different group of ortho doctors and the outcome was constant pain and swelling after a delayed surgery. In November Dr. Luke performed a TLK replacement and I feel like I have my life back! I cannot say enough good things about Dr Luke and his staff! He did a scope of my R knee a few years ago and TKR of L knee this past November. His office scheduled the surgery and had step by step instructions on what I needed to do before hand. My knees feel fantastic! Dr. Luke takes the time to ask if I have any questions each visit. So thankful for all Dr. Luke and his staff have done for me.

Dr. Luke has replace both my hips over the past four years, I just had my right hip done 8 weeks ago, I can't thank him enough for this excellent work, not to mention his bedside manor plus he takes the time to sit and explain your issues! I can now walk more than a half block, I can stank in my kitchen and make a complete Italian dinner without having to sit down. My back pain is now gone and I can put on my own shoes and socks! Dr. Luke is a brilliant orthopaedic surgeon. He replaced my right hip this past January; and it feels better than my original hip felt before I started having problems with it! He also has a great bedside manner. Before every visit is over, he ALWAYS asks me if I have any questions, which he gladly answers thoroughly. If you're in the market for a new hip, he's the surgeon to see!

Luke behaved like he wanted to get on to the next patient. Disparaged my inquiries. Demonstrated no interest in discourse. Like my questions were bothersome.

I have seen Dr. Luke for (2) procedures now and I couldn't be more thrilled with the results. The first was a scope of my left knee several years ago and the latest was a total left hip replacement in August 2021. My hip is now perfect! He, his office staff and the coordination with the hospital could not have been better. Dr. Luke is a "regular guy". He explains everything so that the lay person can understand it, including what to expect post procedure. Recovery from hip surgery is NOT easy. It requires a lot of rehabilitation and work on the patient's part. I have and will continue to recommend Dr. Luke to those in need of orthopedic work.

After a fracture of my femur that didn’t heal completely Dr Luke did a revision surgery and in 4 weeks I am walking. He is wonderful and he has me walking and driving as he promised. Thank you Dr Like for helping me.

Due to osteoporosis I had severe pain from a fracture to my knee that did not respond to 6 weeks of conservative treatment. When the extreme pain continued I was informed I had a 2nd new fracture. I was referred to Dr. Kevin Luke and am so grateful for his care. He had a surgical approach that he had been doing for some time with cement to stabilize both fractures. He answered all of my questions before surgery and after at every single postop appointment. He spent so much time with me. He was very concerned about pain management and ordered a nerve block prior to surgery and pain medications after surgery. He followed my progress with physical therapy and he and I are very pleased with my recovery. I have no pain, I can walk walk and drive. He helped me get my life back. I recently had total hip replacement (left side), performed by Dr Luke. The experience went exactly as explained by Dr Luke, with one night in the hospital without any complications. Progress was very quick once I started the outpatient physical therapy, and moved from a walker to a cane in about a week. I was able to eliminate the cane after a few more weeks of PT. Eight weeks after surgery, my wife and I flew to Atlanta to spend time visiting our daughter and grandkids, with a high activity level of walking , swimming and much stair climbing. Completely satisfied with the outcome and highly recommend Dr Luke. He will answer all your questions ( I had many), his staff is very attentive and professional, and the office visits were efficient with minimal wait time.

I had hip replacement 7 months ago. I recommend Dr. Luke for hip replacement surgery. The surgery was successful. I'm back to walking and bike riding. Dr. Luke is caring. He has always answered my questions.

Knee replacement surgery was July 7, 2020 at Palos Hospital. Rehab started at home and then went to Parkview Orthopedics' for four week. After one year my knee feels great with no pain or discomfort. I am very pleased with the final results and would recommend Dr.Luke.

Dr Luke is a great no nonsense doctor. I am a Jehovah’s Witness, I accept no whole blood, this was not a problem for Dr. Luke who performed my hip replacement surgery without blood. I have had very little pain. Thanks Dr. Luke for being a great surgeon!

I really liked Dr Luke and his team. They were efficient, professional, friendly, and made me feel comfortable even though i was very afraid of surgery. He came highly recommended by my family doctor and I'm so glad i took her advice. My knee feels so much better.

I am extremely satisfied with the results of the surgery!! I feel that my recovery has been far better than that of some of my friends who have had surgery by other Drs. It has been two weeks since surgery and have minimal pain and extremely good range of motion,

Dr. Luke is amazing. He didn't rush me out of my appointments, he took the time to answer all the questions I had. His bedside manner was great! He was easy to talk to. The only thing that I wasn't to happy about that Dr. Luke is not a "late" appointment doctor. It makes it hard for people that work. That is the only downfall.

I could not have been more please with Dr. Luke. He is very professional and makes you feel extremely comfortable. In 2017 I had my right hip replaced by Dr. Luke and was a returning patient in 2019 to have the left hip replaced. I would highly recommend Dr. Luke as an outstanding physician.

I had hip replacement surgery two years ago. I haven't thought about my hip since. I've read bad reviews about Dr. Luke's bedside manner. I don't care about his bedside manner, I care that he's a great surgeon. I am pain free and can run again.

I've already recommended this doctor to colleagues with similar hip joint problems that I've had and I've told them, first, get a doctor who is competent and one you can trust. Both my hips were bad. Dr. Luke did the first and I can't wait until he does the other one.

A friend highly recommended Dr. Luke when I decided to have knee replacement surgery. I am so glad I went to him. He is a fantastic surgeon. I had both knees done by him. The first surgery went so well I had the second one done 3 months later! Just finished with physical therapy last week. Not 100% yet, but feel 100% better! Dr. Luke did my hip in 2014 & my knee in 2018 and I recommend him to everyone I know and have. He's upfront with you and tells you how it is.He comes right to the point and explains what your choices are. He don't try to pull the wool over your head.I'm glad I had him do it, and if I need any more work done he's my "Doctor".

Dr. Luke is a perfectionist! I am 66 years young and walking with a walker. I finally decided to get the right knee replaced because the Shots to the knee did not work. Dr. Luke will explain the procedure to you so you know what to expect. The surgery went well, and in a few weeks was going to Physical Therapy. My right knee is back to normal with no pain. I am no longer using a walker and I feel like I am living again.

A very kind,compassionate man who spends the time with you to explain treatments what options you have and what would be the best solution for you. Dr. Luke did a total R Knee replacement on me in Feb 2018 and for the first time in ten years I can stand up straight to walk. Dr. Luke has given me a new lease on life.

I had total knee replacements to both of my knees. Dr. Luke is a tough doctor, but because of that i have two excellent and very functional knees and very little arthritic pain now in my hips. If you follow his orders, you too will be walking like your young again.

Great doctor! At age 69 I just had my knee replaced on April 12. As of today (June 6) I am doing great and have been discharged from physical therapy. Dr Luke was very personalable and educational and I would highly recommend him!

I saw Dr Luke for hip pain. He really listened to me about my problem and seemed genuinely concerned. He is straight and to the point with excellent explanations. He also seems to not like to keep patients waiting. The procedure he recommended gave me great results. I will definitely recommend him.

I do agree with reviews that he is a great surgeon however, he does not spend enough time with his patients and I always got the impression if I had a few questions I was just simply bothering him with those questions . I don't know if it's the fault of reception it seems like every 10 minutes they're scheduling his appointments and guess what; when you're told you need surgery, you need more than 10 minutes. His assistant is amazing however the rest of his staff is quite rude, no return calls

I have known and worked with Kevin Luke for many years and have always been aware of his reputation as an excellent surgeon. I have been under his care for problems with both knees for almost a year. He is an excellent surgeon whom I also find him to be a personable, compassionate doctor who communicates extremely well with his patients. I have had bi-lateral knee replacement and a hip replacement due to a break all performed by Dr. Luke and was under his care for broken ribs and clavicle. He explained the surgeries/treatment-what to expect afterward and what I would need to do to fully recover. My recovery in all cases was excellent, and I have full use of and mobility. I highly recommend Dr. Luke to anyone contemplating/moving toward knee or hip surgery.

Dr. Kevin Luke is outstanding. He was my choice of surgeons based on our visits with him, his credentials and his expertise. I was able to ask all my questions during each visit. Each question was answered with intelligence, experience and professionalism. Dr. Luke performed surgery on my right knee at Christ Hospital. I was treated very well; the staff was thorough and professional. In my view, these were the expectations of the surgeon, himself. I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Kevin Luke.

In my first meeting with Dr Luke he explained very clearly and concisely how the surgery would be performed and what I should expect in terms of my recovery. He did a fantastic job on my hip replacement. The recovery has been excellent and exactly what I had hoped for based on his intial cosultation with me. I would highly reccomend Dr Luke to anyone needing hip repacement surgery!

I got shot in the ankle Feb 23rd 2015 and Dr Luke was my surgeon he performed two surgeries on me and it came out to be successful...I just want to thank him so much and his helper Ms Pattie see me for my doctor visits and she is great at what she does she really shows that she cares..she make sure she does everything she can do to keep my leg from getting effected....
