Dr. Kevin W. Kilimann

I was shocked by my experiences with Dr. Kilimann. At one point, I had run out of my medication and requested a refill, which he denied. I was unaware at the time that it had been too long since I had visited with him and needed to have an appointment in order to get a refill. This is downright dangerous for patients. However, sure. It was my fault for not being aware of this policy. So I made the appointment and was basically lectured to the entire time about how “it’s my responsibility to take my own health into my hands”. He was extremely rude and condescending. That was the entire appointment! He didn’t ask about how I was doing or if my medication was still working. I was blown away. Throughout other appointments, he often got me mixed up with other patients or completely got facts about my life wrong. It’s not that hard to look at a chart. He was not a good representation about what a psychiatrist should be for there patients.

Dr. Kiliman took the time during my initial appointment to go over my history and discuss all past medications. Prior to moving to the Colorado Springs area, I had the best psychiatrist in the Dallas area. I have found that Dr. Kilimann has many of the same qualities (getting to know me, relating to me, respecting my input, respecting my knowledge of my illness and medications, and taking time to listen and provide applicable advice). My only complaint has ever been about the front office staff and medical assistants, that rotated out regularly.

Whatever you do DO NOT bring your children to this man. I was diagnosed with autism spectrom disorder at age 6 dr. Kilimann prescribed me literally just about every psychotropic drug that was not recommend for the use in minors when I was 6. Abilify, lithium and many others big pharma is in his pockets like none other he hands out samplers of pills like candy when he knows they probably won't work or create adverse side effects. This man is a horrible doctor... My best friend left their last appointment in tears, as they decided to insult and lecture them throughout their final visit about something unrelated to their mental health. Don't go to Dr. Kilimann, ever. There are better doctors in Colorado Springs, that are much more worth your time.

Absolutely terrible bedside manner; a horrible doctor. I left our last appointment crying... Don't go to Dr. Kilimann.

Horrid i saw docotor killimann in the early 2000s as a child he would prescribe meds that would make me physically violent and have the worst symptoms i remember at one point this lunatic prescribed me lithium after many years i found tradition medicine will not treat autism so i tried medical cannabis and have never looked back

Dr. Kiliman didn't seem to know who our child was even after seeing her for over a year. Each time we came in, it appeared that he had to look at her chart to see what her name was. His appointments were very short. He seemed very uncaring to us. To our knowledge, he never did make a diagnosis. Things improved greatly for our daughter when we changed doctors.

Dr. Kilimann has helped me so much with my anxiety over the last couple of years. He takes the time to listen to your needs and explain things. He made me feel comfortable even though I hate going to the doctor.
