I am a student doing my externship there! They are fabulous, fun, caring and kind. They care about their patients and their dental health. Summary: Welcoming environment, friendly people, transparent communication - Go here! My new patient experience with Hicks Family Dentisty was excellent from the time I called to make an appointment to when I had my exam. Jen at reception was great to talk to when I initially called to find out more information and to make an appointment. She was up front that they were not in my insurance network and was supportive when I said I was going to call a few other places first. Ultimately, my phone experience with Jen and the reviews online let me back to Hicks despite the insurance coverage. Alex was my hygienist - she was very competent and friendly, talked me through each step she was doing, and asked several times throughout if I was comfortable. I’ve never felt so aware and at peace at a doctor’s visit! Dr. Hicks came in at the end to check my teeth and X-rays. He was also very friendly and first introduced himself and asked me some questions before getting started. He showed me my X-rays and talked through some observations that were helpful for me to be aware of. Overall, I had an excellent experience and would recommend Hicks Family Dentistry to anyone. My hygienist was very thorough and knowledgeable about my teeth, mouth, jaw, nose, etc. Then Dr. Hicks spent a significant amount of time just getting to know me as a new patient. My experience was great from start to finish. Jen does such a great job at the front desk. She is friendly and efficient. I’m not especially fond of getting my teeth cleaned but Alex was very gentle and did a thorough job. She is an awesome hygienist. Dr. Hicks is very kind and personable. Amazing service! Everyone I've interacted with at Dr. Hicks' office — from the office manager to the hygienists to Dr. Hicks himself — have been incredibly sweet, friendly, and informative. They're always very clear about what you can expect from your visit and post-care experience, and they'll take the time to explain the billing/insurance reimbursement process if you're confused about it. Beautiful, comfortable facility, professional staff and very thorough exams and services. I was so impressed with the level of compassion and the time they spent with me when I recently had a new crown placed on a cracked tooth. I had all my questions answered and they were very respectful and responsive regarding my comfort throughout the entire procedure. I recommend Dr. Hicks and his team highly.

While on vacation, I had an infected tooth that caused me severe pain, and was unable to get to an urgent care dentist, as it was the 4th of July Weekend. When I called the emergency line for Dr. Hicks, he refused to prescribe anything that could help with the pain. I will never again give my business to this practice.

New to the community my wife and I sought out a family dentist. Dr. Hicks was close by. The staff was friendly but found the office manager to be less than honorable. I was quoted a price for a procedure that was partially covered by insurance and the difference out of pocket. I agreed to the quote. I paid the my portion by credit card then was told after the work was done that there was an additional sum added to the bill for what the insurance didn't pay. I agreed in advance to a price and that was I paid. The Dr. seems to be a good practitioner but is quite passive-aggressive with front office affairs. He allows the office to be bad guys and that was something that I didn't respect. His price for service is VERY high. We decided to go elsewhere. Thankfully! We were told he ordered expensive services that were unnecessary. My wife had issues with the manager. She attempted to load her bill up with the amount that I refused to pay. BAD BUSINESS, Same reason. Did NOT Pay it!

We've been going to Dr. Hicks for about 7 years or so and for the most part they were good, friendly, cleaned our teeth well, but whenever there was an issue with a tooth Dr. Hicks worked on he could never give a clear answer and just left us hanging. I had an implant done here and it got infected. The x-rays showed bacteria was starting to eat away at my bone and they didn't inform me about it or how I could take preventative steps until a year later when it ate about 40% of my bone and I couldn't save it. The dental hygienist at the time informed me more about the issue than Dr. Hicks did. Besides being a nice guy he just doesn't give you the answers you need to be able to take the next steps and he seems hesitant when making decisions. Not sure if I can stick with that kind of dental care any longer. I personally am not sure how to enunciate the treatment I received from this office of fine people. True professionalism, courtesy and sympathy to my particular situation. I travel extensively for work, for the one day I was actually home no local dentist would see me, including my own (now former dentist). While in Lititz Pa for work I was experiencing indescribable pain with the one and only cavity I have. Randomly popped into Dr. Hick's office and a very polite not to mention adorable receptionist/hygienist made time for me, took quick x-ray and Dr. Hick's came to see me. To me this is enough said, considering the fact that I couldn't even speak to my former dentist. Not only did they schedule me for a much needed root canal but it was done in a timely manner. I don't know much about this procedure being that this is my one and only cavity but I do know about hard work. This man went to work on my tooth, I know with the utmost certainty that he did a thorough, proper, quality, efficient, and effective job. Felt so much better. His entire staff worked as hard as he did, they were a pleasure to deal with and I will be going back from now on if possible. Jus to to visit with Dr Hicks, this guy is great, everyone was very knowledgeable and able to plainly answer all the questions I had. Even though he's a little more expensive than I had expected the quality of his work is worth the extra. They have all the latest equipment allowing them to make crowns and partials right in the lab during your visit. My cleaning was painless and they clearly explained how to better care for my teeth. Once i stepped in the office of Dr. Hicks dental office, it was instantly a very great atmosphere. In the waiting room i could relax with coffee and tea, or read a book or a magazine while i waited to get my work done. the service was great, everyone was very friendly while i was there.
