Dr. Kevin Gene Drew

My Husband and I were worried about the low reviews left but are confused because we've had nothing but positive interactions with Dr. Drew. He has been quick to try and find a solution for my Husband's chronic pain. He listens and understands. Pain medication isn't his first go to, and fixing the root cause is. I like an upfront kinda guy. Especially when it comes to our health. The only negative we have is sometimes there is a wait.

I've been to Dr. Drew after two separate injuries, several years apart. On both occasions, and many visits, I never had a doubt that he was listening to me, that he was going to find a way or ways to lessen the pain I was suffering--he made referrals to other doctors when it was needed, followed through with procedures and how my life was going. I told him to start with that I didn't want narcotics; he heard me (unlike others)--he listened to what I needed, what I was going through, and offered a range of possibilities and why/how each might work in my circumstances. He was also frank--facts up front. A+ from me.

He doesn't nor does his office except for the medical assistant deserve even a 1. Unprofessional, greedy, belittling and talked down to my former Dr that was part of his practice. Surprised he has any patients. Save yourself a trip!

I have seen Dr Drew for 9 to 10 years. I have not had a problem with him, but like everyone else I only seen him when it was “time for injections “ so I would not have to have surgery but did not see him for the follow ups. My problem is one person on his staff that does the prior authorizations. Her name is Shannon. Since she stop doing scheduling , she now processes prior authorizations. January of 2020 it took about 12 days to be able to fill my script. January of 2022 was the same way. Then when I go to fill my script on April the 7th, I once again needed a PA. So nothing can be done on a Saturday, so I waited. I call my insurance 4 times, each on the days she does this job. Monday, Wednesday and Friday. When I was told on Friday morning nothing had been sent in and told it take the insurance 72 hours to approve I was mad. I had been sick to my stomach, trouble breathing and all that goes with not having pain medication. I called and had to leave a message. I was probably rude when mostly I am not that kind of people. But to go though this twice in 4 months, I would think anyone would have been. I do not cuss so it’s not like I cussed her out. But I do not think she should have her job. Shannon blamed Costco for faxing them the wrong PA. I called Costco every doctor gets the same fax. Before calling me back Shannon took care of the insurance company. Shannon thought it was ok to yell at me. Dr Drew only heard one side of this and that was her side. So Shannon called me this morning and told me Dr Drew had released me from his service. I had spine surgery almost 8 years ago. He wanted to surgically install a stimulator and I am not wanting something that I had used for 10 years but inside my body. When the tens unit did nothing to fix my pain. As soon as you do not do what he wants you to do then you don’t see him any more you go to the next person in line. What bothers me the most he does not have enough Decency to talk to me and hear my side. I have been going though this for 20 years. It is only about money. I’ve seen Dr. Drew for 16 years for degenerative disc disease, stenosis, arthritis and neuropathy. Dr. Drew has helped me tremendously in maintaining a good quality of life. He never hedges when there have been significant changes in the above listed issues. Dr. Drew is very straight forward. He’s always been there for me. Anytime I visit him, I'm treated with genuine acceptance and care from all of his staff. I’m not sure why some of his reviews are very negative. He’s always been compassionate and caring in treating me. I would recommend him to anyone suffering from pain issues.

Dr Drew is a kind and caring physician He is the most professional pain management doctor I have known.

This guy is the absolute worst doctor ive ever seen in my life! He pushes his injections and cares nothing about his patients...if you question anything or don't agree to his money making methods he snaps at you and walks away...read his google reviews...all 100 percent true...again the WORST EVER....

Horrible doctor! If you say anything he doesn’t like you’re out. Kicked my 80 year old father out because he complained the wait was over three hours to be seen. Who does that? A doctor who is a prima-donna! Do your research before you put your life in the hands of someone that puts money before patients.

I recently saw dr. Drew and he pushed me to a point that I decided to leave his office and he followed me razzing me to a point I started cussing at him and he pushed me against the wall. Never had a problem. I don't get it? Then they said I had to go to a certain rehab. Are the serious? So I been without pain meds. I had a appointment at 9:00 to get a Cortizone shot and was still sitting there at 10:30. I went to the front desk to ask how much longer because I had to be at work at 10:30. The receptionist said she didn’t know how long. People was sitting on the floor that’s how booked they were. The lady sitting across from me said her first time there she sat for 4 hours. What in the world!!!!!!! To make a long story short I ended up leaving at 10:45 with NO!!!! Appointment didn’t get to see the doctor at all. And they took my co-pay. Been going here for years, never had an issue remedying my pain, I went today and was treated as a child. Extremely unprofessional, his bedside manner is horrible. Requesting an increase in meds is impossible, even with a lifelong deteriorating condition. Finding a new pain specialist as we speak.

He was my very 1st pain doctor. My orthopedic doctor had scheduled me for spine surgery. He wanted me to see a pain management doctor in the meantime. Drew told me I wouldn’t need surgery after he took care of me. I should have known trouble was coming because the 1st question he asked was, "do you have good insurance?". Usually the office takes care of insurance details. He was overjoyed when he found out I had great insurance. So, here I was with 3 badly herniated discs. Things had gotten so bad that my spine developed "instability", meaning my spine was so bad that it actually changed alignment at night. One morning I woke up and couldn’t walk, my legs couldn’t hold me up. Finally after 4 days, I was able to walk again. I guess my spine shifted again. That was when we scheduled surgery. The MRI was how my surgeon diagnosed my problems. Drew decided he needed to perform a "discogram" on me. The procedure was actually done in his office. His nurse gave me anesthesia (not enough to knock me out) while he stuck needles into my discs and injected dye. This was utter agony like I’ve never felt (until a doctor attempted a spinal tap). I just couldn’t understand why he thought this procedure was necessary. The discogram showed that I had FOUR, NOT THREE herniated discs. Then he said "See!! This shows a forth disc herniated when the MRI didn’t." When I told my surgeon he said it doesn’t matter what the discogram shows because he routinely does an MRI on his patients 2 weeks before surgery. So, guess what showed up on the MRI? You guessed it. Four herniated discs showed on the MRI. Apparently the 4th one blew after the 1st MRI. The discogram was a totally unnecessary procedure. He did it totally for the money. Since the procedure was performed in his office, he got paid for the use of his facility, too. He would have gotten half of that if it had been done in the hospital. I never felt good about seeing him after that. Plus he didn’t think I should have surgery! How was I to ever improve when my spine was coming undone like a zipper? I had a perfectly great experience with dr drew. I had nerves burned in my back and 5 years later I am still doing fine. He gave me my life back.

Yes sometimes I've had to wait longer than I've wanted in the waiting room, however I'll gladly wait for a Dr that I can actually trust (for me that's rare) I absolutely adore Dr Drew, he has done so much for me as far as getting my pain under control without a ton of heavy pain pill. I really like the staff, Megan rocks and Dr Drew's assistant Jason is another that is amazing. I'm not sure of the other staff names but they are all great! Do not pass up this Dr because of the negative reviews, I've never seen anything that deserves the reviews he has and I've been going to this Dr for years. He is amazing! I would never recommend Dr. Drew. All he wants is to dehumanize you and make you feel insignificant. He just wants to push expensive procedures and is getting away from prescribing narcotics. He lied to me twice at my appointment today. I`m looking for a new doctor as of right now.

As a person who suffers from chronic pain and severe depression, the last thing I would expect out of a pain specialist Doctor, is shame, judgment and just complete lack compassion. All in which I experienced during my visit with Dr.Drew. He is great example of a person whom abuses his power as a medical professional. Terrible Doctor and even worse human beings.

I highly recommend this physician. As a health care provider myself, I can say that he is very professional, up to date on current treatment options and very knowledgeable in pain management. I have seen Dr. drew for 15 years and have been extremely pleased with the care that he has provided. He "cuts to the chase" and gives you frank, honest and accurate answers to your questions. He treats me with respect and has been proactive in referring me for further diagnosis when needed. HIgHLY RECOMMEN

Very poor doctor doesn't care how much pain u are in he won't do nothing about it. And after 3 years just cuts u.off meds so now I am home bound cause I can't get out of bed due to so much pain

I went to an appointment with my mom. Never have I ever in the history of my life been so angry with the lack of professionalism in a human being. I'm a nurse, and I take pride in my work. He not only belittled me and my sister, but he doesn't listen to anything patients say. He's in his own little world making jokes and treating people irrationally. I saw Dr. Drew on Tuesday, 2/13/18. I have been a Nurse for thirty years. The way I was treated was deplorable. He is astoundingly unprofessional and humiliated me in front of his assistant. It was bad that his assistant apologized to me before I left. The time with him was less than four minutes. Stay away from this guy. I felt very welcomed and cared for by the entire office. Dr. Drew actually spoke to me face to face. He wants to help me get better!! He talked to me about steps and goals to make it happen, and he even did a procedure on my first visit..I am extremely thankful and excited.

The wait is incredible, at least three hours. This is not rare it is standard. Nothing like having a procedure, lying face down and dr drew has needles he is injecting into you and he repeatedly calls you by the wrong name, even after the staff has corrected him. .If you dare to speak up about the wait they discharge you. Unbelievable, even if you had been a patient for many many years, followed treatment, did not misuse pain pills, jumped thru the hoops and waited hours and hours.

. My first appointment we talked about a treatment plan and I had told him that I would like to get a supplemental insurance to help cover the cost of the procedures. He then told me that we could reevaluate my case in a couple months. Meanwhile my medication came up and I told him I had enough for a few weeks, he then said make an appointment with me before you run out for a refill. 3 weeks later I go in and he is upset that i didn't schedule a procedure. If I could give negative stars I would. His staff is completely rude at the front desk. He is horrible to his patients. We went to his office and saw Allie for years and she was fantastic. She left and we had to see Dr. Drew. He said if I wouldn't get injections through him which is the CREAM and where all the money is made he would no longer prescribe my meds then he completely brushed me off and told his nurse discharge her I don't want to see her again. He is all about $$$$$$

Dr Drew office is uncaring. The focus is on what they can do to get your money. If you are not open to repeated procedures that have failed before do not go here. If you do not want to wait for their service do not waste your time. The pain management personnel have no personality and he makes sure that you will lose your standing with other doctors even if you have had them as a provider for 20 years.

Worst pain dr out there. This guy should stay home and count his money. I observed him enjoying the pain of my husband. Absolutely sadistic. Please save yourself more pain and avoid this so-called doctor. I pray that one day medical schools and associations will develop a conscious and do their du diligence. For the love of God avoid this creep.

I love dr.drew i have been with him for 15 years he has helped me in many of ways! I recommend him to anybody! I would not see another doctor he listens an has compassion he has made my pain tolerable an liveable! Dr Drew is not a good doctor at all. First he does not listen. You cannot talk to him about anything. He kept me on a med that made me dizzy and did not care and didn't want to hear about how it made me feel. Does not care about his patients at all just about how much money he can make from you. His male Pract John is also a jerk that can't remember anything and is very rude. Every time I went in I had to remind him why I was on a certain med he wouldn't read charts. Very kind and educated man. He does not like to write pain medications so these people who are only seeking medications and not TREATMENT would not like him. If you're a serious person and want treatment he is an excellent doctor. My pain has dramatically decreased after seeing him with the injections.

I had posted a comment about DR. DREW and I also posted my experience with him which I would NEVER recommend ANYONE to see him and it was never posted on here. I am not going to post the whole message again because it probably won't get posted !! I DO recommend his assistant ALEXANDRA. She's super nice but she does have to run everything by him. So if your lucky enough to get his approval for any help you might need then good! But don't count on it! My daughter dropped him too!! He was rude!!

I would not recommend seeing Dr. Drew based on my experience with him. He didn't listen well and used demeaning terms to refer to my previous weight. I didn't feel respected or taken seriously in my short time with this doctor.

Not everyone in pain is a drug seeker!! You as a physician should know this! Dr Drew took an oath to help people and all he does is look down on them as if they were less than him. I wouldn't suggest this man to assist anyone that I cared about. Degenerative disc disease is the most painful thing that anyone can go through!!

In the 5+ years of a of service from this doctor, I have seen him only a very few times. He has more patience than what he can deal with. His patients have to suffer with his associates at the office and in his practice that have no compassion at all for the pain his patients are going through.
