Great work and amazing team !

AMAZING!!!!!

I was referred for a root canal to Torrey Pines Micro Endodontics, and want to share my experience with Dr. Brand and his assistant McKenna. What can I say, if there is such a thing as pleasant root canal experience - that was it :) Dr. Brand has hands of an angel, very light touch, he is very friendly and puts you at ease even though it's always scary to be in a dental chair, he explained everything that was going to happen, made sure I had absolutely no pain (ZERO pain or discomfort!!!) during the procedure, and he showed me what was done in X-Rays after the procedure was over. Torrey Pines Micro Endodontics is highly recommended by my dentist, so you can absolutely trust them. Oh, and I really do appreciate the fact that I got scheduled in so quickly - called Micro Endodontics on Thursday and got the root canal on Monday morning, so I don't have to be in discomfort anymore. Dr. Herold's team fit me in for a root canal the day after I called. I'd been experiencing painful tooth aches for weeks due to a cracked molar. Brooke in the front office is extremely kind and knowledgeable - she listened, got me scheduled, and reviewed all costs with me in advance. Dr. Herold and his assistants take time to explain procedures and go out of their way to make you comfortable. No one wants a root canal, but if you need one, you are in excellent hands here. Simply Excellent !

Dr Herold quickly diagnosed an issue that had been a mystery for some time. Prescription was root canals for 2 teeth, which was intimidating to hear. But Dr Herold came in on his day off to do the procedure to accommodate my schedule. It was about a smooth as it gets simultaneous root canals for 7 and 10 in 1.75 hours. Zero pain before, during or after procedure. AND complete relief of the pain that sent me there for the first place!! Awesome Dr. Awesome staff. Thank you! Very bad experience with this dentist. He talks well and he can sell you anything. I had to see a second dentist to fix my issue. I don't trust him. Be aware he is after your money!

My root canal with Keven Herold was an absolute nightmare. I wish I had read the negative reviews about him before I went to his practice.

My root canal with Dr. Herold was very disappointing. Bad experience with his practice and unreasonable charges.

Dr. Herold and his team are INCREDIBLE. We saw Dr. Herold for an emergency procedure for my daughter. We were able to get into his office right away, he went above and beyond answering all of our questions, and he was very careful, gentle and thorough when working on our daughter's mouth. We have been VERY impressed!

Excellent Dr. and excellent staff! My daughter had a very difficult root canal that was performed beautifully! I am very choosy with my family's healthcare, and I would only come to Dr. Herold if I ever need any other endodontic work to be done.

Amazing experience! This practice was recommended by our dentist who we know for over 20 years and his recommendation was perfect! I just returned home from a root canal treatment performed by Dr. Herold. I never wrote a dentist review before, but I feel I had to say a few words about Dr. Herold. He puts patient interest in the first place, is very thorough during the 1+ hour treatment, did exceptional job to save my tooth. I wish I have known his office sooner, I could potentially save both teeth and money from the treatments by other DDS. His entire crew is very professional and friendly, the office environment puts one at ease. It's all about the money and lies , there are more than 20 Xrays done for my tooth #19 and none of these so called Doctors can determine whether i need a Surgery or a root canal retreatment. They keep wanting to charge me outrageous fees for everything they think is necessary. It is less than 2 hours of work in my mouth and i am looking into a $2k bill ( not to mention they don't know exactly what's needed ) highway Robbery 101. I feel so lucky that my Dentist referred me to Dr. Herold. I've never had a root canal before and I have trouble with any dental procedure. At our consultation, he spent at least 30 minutes describing the procedure and answering all of my questions. He must have detected that I was anxious because he asked me if I wold be interested in sedation. Not to be knocked out but just to take the edge off. Have you ever done nitrous gas,watched a movie and had a root canal? It is really great!! I felt like I was in first class on root canal airlines when they handed me a hot towel after the procedure. When I came down from my gas induced good feelings Dr. Herold explained that everything went well and showed me before and after pictures of my tooth. The tooth looked like a squid to me but he explained why it turned out well. It's been a few weeks and my tooth feels great. No more pain when I chew on it. This was by far the worst dental experience I ever had! Very unprofessional and zero skills. I would never go back!

I would give 0 if I can. They have a terrible billing service. I visit that office last month. I give all my insurance information they ask for and they tell me what I need to pay for that. Then after one month, I get a bill statement from the office says I need to pay more money. And it is 20% more on the fillins. I'm shocked to hear that and check the bills. Look like they do a wrong calculation on the day I visit. I guess the one who calculate the bill wrongly read the terms and thought insurance will cover all the fillin fee the day I visit. I call to them try to resolve the issue and says I'm willing to be resoponsible for proportiion of it. They keep saying they haven't make any mistakes and I need to pay the full amount. Come on it is so obvious the number doesn't match at all. Why it is not a mistake! They even hang up the phone. I feel cheated and very upset on their service. I have all the documents with numbers on hand. Be cautious if you choose that office. BTW, in Xray it shows there is a gap in my teeth between their fillin and my teeth. Dr Herold is as good as they come. You will not find a better office in San Diego. Amazing professionalism at it's finest. Best experience ever and I've had several root canals done by others with no comparison. Would highly recommend this office and Dr. Herold. You will NOT be disappointed with their service!

My teenage daughter's root canal was handled so professionally by Dr Herold! He also did internal bleaching and the result was amazing. I highly recommend him, what a brilliant and caring doctor. Also their office is completely first class!

I really don't like going to the dentist and my teeth suffer because of it. My dentist that I have been with for years referred me over to Dr. Herold for a root canal. I was terrified of getting this procedure done at all and was really dreading even having my tooth looked at and tested. It can be embarrassing sometimes when your teeth are so messed up. The office is very inviting. I work in customer service and the first point of contact is very important. From the time I made the appointment to checking in with the front desk everything was very quick and easy. Their friendliness up front made me calm my nerves and I was hoping the service in the back would be equally as calming. Dr. Herold and his assistant were very understanding of my nerves. He talked to me about the tests he was going to do and it wasn't half as bad as I thought. My insurance isn't very good and the front office gave me an estimate. Insurance ended up not covering as much as I anticipated but they had made me aware of this in the beginning. All in all my experience was great! Everyone dreads going to doctors appointments but this one was by far one of the easiest - I do recommend the pill (sedation) I kind of was in a twilight and didn't really care about them working in there as much. They also let you choose from new movies on Amazon which made me feel more comfortable. Like I said I hate going to the dentist but I'd gladly come back here - I wish Dr. Herold did more then just root canals. OH AND!! I guess his wife is the one that decorated the office and I want my living room to look like their waiting room. I really don't like going to the dentist and my teeth suffer because of it. I was putting some crowns on last year and before placing them on my dentist sent me to doctor Keven Herold's office to check my root canals. Good thing he did because I needed to work on my root canals because I had an infection deep by the root. Doctor Herold's office has great 3D equipment that was able to detect that. Overall my experience was outstanding! The staff were able to get me appointments early in the morning to fit my schedule and doctor Herold treated me with much care and respect. He thoroughly explained to me the problems I had so I knew what he was going to do before we started the treatment. Now it's a year later and I had a follow up appointment to check it the treatment was succesful. Again, I came in and had a great follow up at his office, we took 3D scans of my root canals and determined that my root canals are healthy now and everything healed up nicely. I highly recommend this office! And I'm the future if I'll need any root canal work I'm not going anywhere else but Keven Herold's office! Amazing compassion, care and quality! So glad I saw him!!

My son was in town for the holidays (from the east coast) and was in a basketball tournament at Torrey Pines High School. As luck would have it, he had his front tooth knocked out of place and we met with a dentist in La Jolla who also sent us to Keven Herold, DDS to check on the efficacy of the tooth. We were so pleased with the treatment we received along with Keven's flexibility in taking us in an emergency situation (close to New Year's) and without an appointment. We cannot thank him enough for his kindness and thorough examination. We would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a Dentist/Endodontist!!!! First class people, first class business! The moment you walk into this office you know you are dealing with people who care about their patients comfort and well-being. The atmosphere is first class with a flat-screen TV with pictures of San Diego's beaches scroll through with comforting music in the background while you wait. My overall experience could not have been better and the results from my procedure were fantastic.The entire staff are very friendly as it feels very much like a family run business. Now for the most important part of my experience; Dr. Keven Herold is the ultimate professional. He makes you feel at ease with his great sense of humor. I came into his office in a very uncomfortable and painful dental situation and he immediately went to work to remedy the situation.
