I got referred here. It feels it is a market scam. They can't bring my left eye vision back to full 20/20. Then I went to another specialist and it turned out to be that it could be 20/20.

1. Dr. Leavitt changed his plans for my son's cataract procedure from laser to manual surgery without telling us. We only learned of this change the day of surgery because we overheard the nurse. 2. Dr. Leavitt was pushing behind our backs for the use of general anesthesia while refusing to hear or learn anything about the special considerations in the use of general on people with my son's condition, muscular dystrophy, which can be fatal when ignored. 3. Dr. Leavitt couldn’t keep which eye he was doing first straight and send us home with instructions to prep the wrong eye. 4. Dr. Leavitt was a jerk to my son because he was feeling anxious about the procedure and had a lot of questions. If you're OK sitting down, shutting up and doing whatever Dr. Leavitt tells you without any clear knowledge about what is being done to you, feel free to give it a shot. Otherwise, I would find somewhere that is willing to tolerate the fact that there are humans attached to the eyes he's treating.

Even the best doctor in the world is only as good as her or his Admin/Front End Staff. A Patient's time should be considered as valuable as the Doctor's time.

Perhaps 10 years ago I had Lasik performed. After a couple of days I was not able to see overhead signs in the grocery store. They were out of focus. Dr. Leavitt mentioned he did not correct my vision to be the sharpest, mentioning it were too sharp it would be annoying. I made another visit were my eyes were zapped again. There was an improvement but not was I had hoped for. On another occasion I was seeing flashes of light. When I called the office and they contracted the doctor I was told to come in after the weekend. Fearing that was not a satisfactory answer I had another eye center look at the problem. It was a torn retina and had emergency surgery to repair it. If not, I was informed I would go blind by the next day. My confidence has left after thinking back at these incidents.

This office is a well marketed scam. I have a dry eye condition and called them for an appointment. Rachel at the reception was excited to hear about my condition, briefed me about their offered lipiflow treatment, and offered me a free eye examination appointment. I took the appointment and worked out 2 hours from my busy workday to make it to the office. After check-in with Rachel at the reception I confirmed with her the appointment was complimentary when she requested my insurance card. She said it was billed and she had made a mistake on the phone! I was upset by the dishonesty and decided to leave. She came out after me and said she was sorry and the exam will be free for her mistake. The doctor made me sit at some equipment and apparently examined my eyes, later very confidently recommended lipiflow, and forwarded me to get an appointment with Rachael. I checked again if the lipiflow was covered and on checking they said that my Microsoft premera insurance would pay for it but I will have to work with them myself - the office would charge $1K on my credit card! I battled with insurance for 2 months to have an in-network provider give me this treatment while working with insurance and not have me pay cash. They called Bellevue Lasik and the clinic agreed to send the paperwork requested by insurance. After one week I got a call from insurance that no paperwork was received. On calling Bellevue Lasik and speaking with Rachael and Barbara I was told that the doctor did not examine me to ascertain a medical necessity for the $1K treatment they were asking me to pay cash for! I no longer recommend Dr. Leavitt, nor will I go to him. He does not give patients clear information on outcomes of procedures. He does not stand behind his recommendations and work. I am very disappointed because he leads you to believe you can trust him. He does not sincerely care about his patients.

Caring. Gentle. Takes time to answer questions and address concerns. Very thorough with explanations. Discusses options with no pressure to make a particular decision.

Rude ! Came intot the room, did not introduce himself, rough exam, scratched my cornea and rubbed my eyelid raw, gave not information and left the room. Found another doctor, will never go back their again !!!
