Dr. Yamamura is an excellent doctor with a great bedside manner. However, he has apparently overextended himself because as a patient that has had an invasive procedure done I could not get an appointment for the results until 13 months out. If the doctor is so busy that he can’t see his existing patient for procedures he’s already performed then how comfortable would you feel, as far as his attention to detail and performing without making mistakes? I was very happy when I started seeing him, but I would not recommend him strictly for this reason.

Back then google reviews weren’t a big thing. Anyway this cardiologist is great and all but i had an ablation, we paid the deductible and then after the procedure we received a surprise bill for a “tool” used during my procedure..insurance wasn’t having it for some reason.. it was like 500 bucks they wanted again. So when i was confirming my post procedure appointment, the staff said i couldn’t be seen unless i paid. I was 20 yrs old.

Dr Yamamura is a wonderful physician and I'm very pleased with him. So wonderful in fact that I cannot get in for a follow up appt. Had Pacemaker/ICD implanted in March and the first follow up appointment is in December....Really!!!

Dr. Yamamura is an outstanding clinician. Takes his time, listens, great clinic staff. You will not find a better EP in Tampa

Dr. Yamamura is a great doctor! He saved my life and when I needed my pacemaker/defib replaced I bought $1100 a month health insurance so I could go back to him. His staff should be ashamed of themselves! I had an appointment in April 2021 - a month before I needed my device replaced. A week before I went to the ER because the device was beeping. I did not know it was because the device needed to be replaced. I showed up at my appointment a week later and was not told he was not in. My appt was for 9 am. At 10:15 I came out of the room and asked what was taking so long. After prodding I was told he was not in. I was also told I was the 1st patient - which also was a lie. Luckily the people who check devices called me over and I was the first person he saw. We scheduled the surgery and surgery went great. And then things went downhill. I came in for what I thought was an appt with the doctor - only to be seen by the nurse. I swear she did not spend 2 minutes with me and gave me an appointment to see the doctor - in January!! Well one week before the January 2022 appointment (8 months after my surgery) they called to tell me they were moving the appointment because the doctor would not be in on January 19. I said no - I am not moving the appt. Nurse would not tell me why. Then she said and I am double booking on March 30 - your appointment is for 5 pm. I said great - so I won't get seen until 8 pm! And I secretly expected they would call before then and reschedule again! Imagine - surgery on May 3 with a f/u on January 19 that was now being moved to March 30 - 10 months since the surgery!! I asked again what if I have an emergency - the answer - go to the hospital! Really??? I do not understand a really good doctor could have a staff that clearly does NOT care about his patients!! I ended up making an appt with another doctor and I waited 2 weeks to get in. No question - Dr. Yamamura saved my life in 2013 when I got the device and he is a great doctor. But, he us only as good as his staff and they obviously do not care about his patients - at all! If you are ok with having surgery and not seeing him until a year later - and I do not really know how long it will be, because I have not seen him yet - then by all means schedule with him. But I have not seen him yet and that is not a good feeling!! His staff does not care one bit. Too bad - because he is a good doctor.

Dr Yamamura did a procedure called the Watchman for my husband. We both have total confidence in him. He is a very caring individual. Very professional and listens to the patient's needs.

Dr yamamura has awesome bedside manner I had wpw Wolff Parkinson White syndrome 20 years ago I was 19 years old he did my surgery at University Community Hospital on Fletcher Avenue. Still doing great today. We need more doctors like dr. Yamamura!

Dr.Yamumura is my hero! A man behind a quite cape that cares about your heart! I have been on a roller coaster that never seemed to stop and 6 short months ago I was told I would need a pacemaker at 41 years old when I was admitted to the emergency room and seen by physicians. The nurses there told me how wonderful Dr Yamumura was as I started to search for a doctor who would listen. They all agreed he would treat or has treated their family and told me to trust my heart and troubles with him. The staff at Pepin Heart all told me the same thing the day of my EP procedure. When all of the nurses at a hospital say the same thing about a doctor it is the truth. I’m glad I got to see this passionate Dr who quietly keeps tabs on everyone of his patients by just listening to their needs. This was the best decision I have ever made. Not only is he the best but his nurse Laura is just as wonderful as him. Thank you for caring for my heart and health when I needed it most.

Dr. Yamamura has successfully treated me for A.Fib. On every occasion when we have met he is unfailingly patient, kind and attentive. He works very long hours, but shows all these wonderful characteristics at the end of a long day. Because of the nature of his work, the appointments may be delayed but that Is understandable. Since my treatment, I have regained strength and endurance. If I live to 100, it will be largely thanks to this knowledgeable and professional doctor.

I was referred to Dr. Kenneth Yamamura at West Coast Arrhythmia Center. The man I saw that told me he was Dr. Yamamura was an older, white man, big like Santa and laughed in my face when I told him the reason why I was in his office. I was referred to West Coast Arrhythmia Center because I pass out weekly, low oxygen level when I’m up and about and I have severe arrhythmia’s including, SVT, PVC’s, PAC’s, A-Fib, A-Flutter and my doctors told me that I need a pacemaker and a 3rd cardiac ablation for the SVT with A-Flutter to save my life. This big jolly man could not contain his laughter as he informed me that I never should have had any procedures and that I don’t need a pacemaker. This man crushed my Spirit, threw me into a depression and I’m trying to pull myself out of. My pulmonologist continues to urge me to find another EP to do the pacemaker and my cardiologist put me on another cardiac monitor to Laugh at West Coast Arrhythmia Center to verify the previous Loop Recorder and

Great doctor, great staff. Very accommodating. If you want a doctor to explain things to you and gives every opportunity to ask questions, this is your doctor. I was very apprehensive about everything, he put my mind at ease. His staff is very friendly, office was great, wait time was short. To be honest, I would wait longer just to be able to see Dr Yamamura, he is not one of these doctors who rush in and get basic info and leave you setting there wondering what just happened.

Time spent is worth the wait to see this Dr....Highly recommended!!

I tried to see Dr.Yamamura twice. Both times his staff overbooked him. I asked if he is ever on time for his appointments and the office staff said no. I refuse to see a Dr. that does not respect my time no matter how good people say the Dr is.

He is an excellent doctor, but every time I come to the office I wait over 2 hours. Today my appointment was at 10 am, right now is 12:15 I am still waiting to see the doctor. However, he had done a surgery for me that he saved my life, so I am very great full for that.

Dr Yamamura is a genius! He performed a cryo-baloon ablation on me July 24, 2015. I had severe Afib. Since the ablation, I have had no hint of afib recurring. My cardiologist says I will live to 100. I have been back to teaching and dancing Clogging since right after the procedure. If you are going to have a procedure done by this doctor, you can be confident that, if there is any chance for you to have success, this doctor is the one who can insure that success.

Dr. Yamamura is one of the most experience electrophysiologist serving the greater Tampa Bay area. He is kind, knowledgeable, and always has time to talk to you and explain any procedure thoroughly that he may need to do to improve the quality of your life in regards to your heart health. He saved my life by doing cryo ablation to stop my atrial fibrillation problem that I have had for many years. Every Dr. I have seen knows and recommends Dr. Yamamura,

I would defiantly recommend Dr Yamamura. He is an amazing dr who knows what he's doing. If it was not for him I would still be dealing with my arrethyma problem. He also diagnosed me with POTS and he explained it in depth and why to expect. This Dr has wonderful bedside manner and deeply cares about his patients.
