The answering department here are very rude and not interested in helping anyone. The front desk staff is always eating , messing. You can even see an oven and microwave in the front desk. It’s truly unbelievable. To be a medical office this place is filthy.

The worst services possible!!! Looks like Doctor Delgado is experienced and good doctor but the way everything organized is horrible. You need to wait 1 or even 2 hours It’s absolutely unacceptable. Very disappointing.

I’ve been going to Dr Shephard for years but today I walked into the office and the waiting room is full, standing room only; things have changed no more respect for patients time; running super late and staff doesn’t provide any explanation; I found out that they had booked 8 patients for the 7:30am appointment slot; how is that possible? It only shows they have no respect for their patients’ time and other engagements such as getting to work. For sure I will be looking for another provider someone that respect and has considerations for their patients. It’s a shame to see this practice has gone down the drain.

This doctor used to have great reviews, but I see this is changing dramatically. I have been with dr Sheppard for years, but the staff is getting WORSE. Long waits, not easy that you get your call answered. I still go wirh him because he is very knowleadeable and professional. I don't understand why all the bad reviews. This is a great doctor!! My waiting time has always been reasonable, the staff is nice and professional and Dr. Shephard is amazing. He takes the time to listen and is very thorough. My health has really improved since I started seeing him. The office is busy and sometimes is full but they do give the option to wait at the car if you are not comfortable at their waiting room. I would definetely give them more stars if I could. Worst Dr. Office I have ever been to. The staff is rude and unprofessional. No one there knows whats going on. I've been there 3 times previously and they have no idea why I'm there even though they are looking at my record on computer. When I called to make the appointment I told them it was a follow up with an ultrasound that I was told to make last time I was there. I get thrte today after taking the day off work and the rude receptionist told me I would not be able to have an ultrasound today because Dr. Shepard is not there and he is the only one who could do it but I could see the doctor anyway (of course so they can bill my insurance). HORRIBLE!! PLEASE AVOID!! I saw this doctor for 4 months and it was a terrible mistake. It was the first time I'd seen an endocrinologist so I wasn't sure what to expect. I am hoping sharing what I've learned and gone through will help someone else avoid my mistakes. Sheppard refused to diagnose me, told me that the thyroid is difficult to diagnose. My new doctor confirms that this is not true and that a simple ultrasound would have helped diagnose me (doctor never did one). Doctor would ask me to come in every 3 weeks just so he could look at me (if he was available, half the time I would see a different doctor at the last second because Sheppard was unavailable) and then send me home again with no new information about what was happening to me. There were a number of issues with the medication I was prescribed as well. Blood tests are not run in office, instead you have to go to a different facility to do blood work. On top of all this the office staff is TERRIBLE and I don't say that lightly. Working with the public is hard but the office staff here genuinely does NOT care about doing their job. There is always a long wait to speak to someone and most of the time they just transfer you to someone who is unavailable. They have never responded to any voicemail I have ever left, I just call back later in the week. When I was finally leaving the practice I called multiple times over a period of 2 weeks trying to get my file faxed over to my new doctor. Unanswered voicemails, being passed around from one person to another, being told they would process my request but it would take 48 hours (plus a charge of $1 per page = close to $40) only for to call back after the 48 hours had passed and go through this process all over again because the person I spoke to did nothing about it. I explained to her that I had PCOS which is literally one of the most common diagnosis a woman can have and she asked "what's that?". Dr.Shephard is great, but his staff is horrible to say the least. Noone ever answers the phone, 10+ calls and no answer throughout the day is no way to run a professional business. The lack of communication is evident in that office, the assistants do not assist. The staff’s incompetence is enough to not recommend any of my patients. Dr. Aguilar in this facility is amazing, how ever the staff is HORRIBLE!!!!! Please if you decided to see Dr. Shephard or Dr. Aguilar, have a lot of patients when you call the office or even go into the facilities. They even told me they do not have a manager in office they have an administrator that only goes 2 times a week.

Office staff was polite but, if your seeing Shepherd it best be the only appointment for the day. They are always behind time, the doctor just seems to be overbooked. As a professional what he said was reasonable, I mostly felt like a task. Time with patient was very short and I saw he well over an hour past my appointment.

I hate doing this because I like Dr. Shephard. He is knowledgeable and nice. Gives you options and tries to help with samples if your insurance isn't covering things and you need them. However, and this is a BIG however, I have 2 issues with the office. One, they must overbook because the wait time is always ridiculously long. Two, if you call, you can never get a live person (unless you are booking an appt., then they are more than happy to talk to you). You can leave voice messages but they never call you back. You can email, but you never get an answer. I have an issue with the insurance covering my med that the doctor has to authorize and this has been going on for 12 days now with no acknowledgement / response / update from the office to either me, or the pharmacy. This is no way to treat your patients.

Very good at communicating your health issues and providing alternative treatments with all of their positive and negatives. I never feel rushed by Dr. Shephard. He was recommended by my primary care physician and I also give my highest recommendation.

Extremely rude staff!!! Wouldn’t even give an appointment unless I had previously seen another doctor which I hadn’t apparently the “Doctor” doesn’t evaluate patients he only sees patients with existing records and even though I don’t need a PCP I was rudely told that I wasn’t permitted to see the doctor unless I had a PCP which my insurance doesn’t require! On top of everything she lied to me on the phone and told me that the gentleman I initially spoke too didn’t give me the information that I needed about old records before I would even dared calling them to make an appointment! The doctor is great. The staff is horrible. And if you call them, prepare to be a long time on the phone. I've been put on hold for 45 minutes and sometimes I have to hang up because I have other things to do. If I were the doctor I would fire the staff and get a new staff that acts professionally. His staff lowers the quality of the whole office. It's a shame because the doctor is a good and knowledgeable person.

My mother who had managed her diabetes with pills and diet for decades, monitored by her primary was hospitalized at Baptist. Upon discharge she was put on steroids and sliding scale insulin administered by home health and we urgently needed to see an endocrinologist to taper off the steroids and find a long term solution for the insulin. I should add that she has cancer. I thought we got lucky to land a quick appointment with this highly educated doctor. Instead when we got there he refused to see my mother because she was receiving services from Home health. He yelled at us saying we did not bring enough information with us even though I had called the office before coming in to confirm that the primary had faxed all required information. I recently moved to the area and was in search of a new diabetes doctor. I made several attempts to set up an appointment with Dr. Shephard, but his staff was more concerned with the medical records from my previous doctor rather than setting up an appointment. It started three weeks ago when I physically stopped by the office and asked them to double check the medical records request, and to fax the paperwork to my previous Endocrinologist for medical records. They said they'd call but didn't ask for my phone number. For three weeks I've called SEVERAL times to see if my records were received, and no one has called me back. I waited about 20 minutes on the phone then I thought they had forgotten about me. So I gave them another call and I was put me on hold. The "Elusive" Dr. Sheppard. My first visit I was seen by a nurse practitioner. I don't have a problem with this man he was very nice and attentive. The "Elusive" dr. came in never put his hands on me and the only words he spoke were to tell me how wonderful Jardiance is that I show try it. Well I did and it turns out it is not for me. If you don't have an appointment you better bring food and gifts to the secretaries to jump ahead of established appointments. There isn't an order of appointments nor arrivals, these ladies will act on the treats you provide. Want to get disrespected, lose 3-4 hours around your appointment time and left locked in a room to then get a rush 5 minute Doctor visit? Then this is your endocrinologist group. Saw him for about a year with type 2 diabetes. Always he gave general advice I could get from my primary care doctor. Then he always pushed a new medication on me each time. Not recommended.

Very rude staff. Called to make an appointment as a new patient and was left 20 minutes on hold, whoever answered the phone asked me for medical records to be sent to them. When I said I did not have them she hanged up the phone. Do not recommend this physician.

I first saw Dr. Shepherd several years ago, as he was highly recommended. He performed a biopsy on a lump on my thyroid. I am an elderly lady now, and have been diagnosed with tumors on my parathyroid, leading me to see Dr. Shepherd again. His current office was unfamiliar to me and my 84 year old husband and I had a difficult time finding the location (Dr. Shepherd agreed and admitted that he too had difficulty finding it at first.) Having stopped to ask several people along the way, including a mail man, and having called the office to explain our delay, we finally reached the office about an hour late. The staff was not pleased and said she would have to check with the doctor, to see if he would still see me, since I was so late. I took that as rude since I had called. During that visit, the doctor advised me that little would/could be done about the tumors and ordered I have another U/S on my thyroid. I had this done and did not hear from the doctor. After some time, I called the doctor to see what the results were and was informed I would have to make an appointment and come in to talk to the doctor. Since my prior experience was less than comfortable for my husband and I, I asked to be explained the results over the phone or that they be sent to my Primary Doctor. He instead wrote my Primary a note saying I would not be back to his office. (I'll leave it at that). Now, the thyroid hormone levels are more than double with a blood test on my Thyroid and my Primary referred me back to Dr. Shepherd for his expertise. I recently scheduled an appointment with Dr. Shephard and I have nothing but nice things to say about the doctor himself and his office staff. I was given an appointment quickly and the wait was not as bad as I expected. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I am not really sure about Dr. Shephard's decisions and treatment methods but I can say for a fact that his staff has zero people skills:. Mean, indifferent, unprofessional and nasty. I have experienced being hung up to at least twice. If you need and Endocrinologist think twice; remember, you have to go through his staff first......

This is an excellent doctor. Great bedside manners. Takes his time to listen to his patients He is very accurate with his diagnosis and treatments. Can't say enough good things about him. It's a shame his front office staff makes people walk away. The phones are never answered. In order to schedule an appointment you actually have to go in person. If documents are faxed they never receive them. I'm sure the doctor doesn't really know what's happening in the front. Its really a shame
