Terrible service

I went to see Dr. Kehew for a couple fillings. I have never in my life experienced this much pain from a filling. I don't know what in the world he did in my mouth, but he clearly did it wrong. My jaw still hurts from my first appointment almost a month ago. I haven't been able to chew on the left side of my mouth ever since. Note that I was only experiencing mild discomfort when I first saw him; things are much worse now. The best part of this is that I had an appointment to fill another cavity on the right side of my mouth, but because of the amount of pain I am experiencing, I decided against doing additional work in the other side until the left side heals (it's bad enough only being any to chew on one side, I don't need to have pain on both sides). Now he is refusing to see me for six months because I canceled an appointment without 24 hours notice (I canceled a Monday afternoon appointment over the weekend)--even to deal with the existing problem that he caused. It's an absurd office policy, and as applied, it's particularly idiotic. He's the only dentist in the state that accepts my insurance, so I don't have any options other than this guy. The quality of service performed by Dr. Kehew is completely unacceptable. I would strongly recommend you find someone else if at all possible.

Went to this office for a cleaning and the hygienist took about 10 minutes to clean my teeth (never had ANYONE clean my teeth in 10 minutes) I could tell she wasn’t really doing anything! Then said I was due for X-rays. I felt like it was all about getting as much $$ as possible whole doing as little as possible! And to top it off the place is dirty! I would never go back!

Great dentist me and my wife both had good experiences highly recommend if you are anxious Dr kehew and his team are professionals and understanding and gentle.

I always liked Dr. Kehew and spent almost $3000 here in April. He was kind and gentle. I just had a follow up where his new employee did a cleaning which is not what I booked for. I booked to speak with him and was told I'd have to schedule another appt for that. She was rude, rough and very condescending. Mind you, I have severe anxiety at the dentist. Needless to say, they lost thousands because I now have a much better office that just got paid over $6000 to finish what Kehew started. Anyone looking for dentures or implants should definitely consider Affordable Dentures and Implants in Dartmouth MA. Top notch care. The staff are ALL amazing and supportive. The office staff was very friendly and efficient. The cleaning and exam was beyond thorough. I would recommend Dr. Kehew to anyone looking for a dentist or isn't happy with the one they have.

Dr kehew left the pain full tooth and took out the good tooth he is such a crazy Dr he need to comedown, always in hurry☹️

constantly late, place is filthy. they set appointments then you wait and they can't take you.they have an excuse for everything no accountability!

If I could give them no stars right now I would...I scheduled my appointment to get my wisdom teeth out over 2 weeks ago.. the lady, who was extremely rude decided to cancel my appointment the day of an hour before hand...mind you I had to take time off of work for this appointment. Clean tools professional all nice

Great overall interaction he’s been doing my dental work for 10+ years.

Scam artist ! Be prepared for double billing and all kinds of scams with this practice ...not to mention terrible work ....people like this man are part of what's wrong with this world !

Only reason I went here is because he took my insurance. Waited 1 1/2 hours and they took the girl who’s appointment was 1/2 hours after me! Place is run down. Hygienist looks like she’s about to retire. Never had a 15 minute cleaning! Worst cleaning I’ve ever had. I could brush and do better. They have a sign asking for a hygienist and dental assistant (?). Place is kind of nightmarish. Definitely won’t go back Only reason I went here is because he took my insurance. He agreed on rates of service with my insurance plan and then tried to bill me double. And when I tried to talk to the office about it all I got was attitude and ignorance. Professional and fast. Was in and out staff is very nice

Dr. Kehew was excellent today. I had to get work done and got injected with novocaine. I immediately started feeling funny, my heart started pounding and I felt very anxious. He immediately noticed and calmly explained exactly what was happening and that it's a common thing to happen and that I'd be ok in a few minutes. He was right! Unfortunately I had to get 5 more shots, with each one I was more calm, thanks to him immediately calming me! I also thought it was pretty impressive and hilarious that he kept asking me questions and I'd make a few noises in response as my mouth was full of dentist stuff - and he knew exactly what I was saying! Was referred to Dr. Kehew so went in to have a few teeth (wisdom teeth etc) extracted. Got in right on time and was well received by the entire staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful. The Dr. Himself was really professional and prompt. Everything was done in a very efficient manner that I was unaccustomed to from other dentist. Very happy all around with the service. The atmosphere was pretty nice almost like a home setting aside from the dentist chair and equipment helping me feel a but more relaxed. Unfortunately it only lets me put a minimum of 1 star I with it could go back. Had been going to him for several years, each time has not been a good experience, especially the last time during a wisdom tooth extraction one of the assistants, Rose, scolded me for not being able to keep my jaw perfectly still, while she stood there just watching while Kehew did the surgery (keep in mind I was numbed with a lot of novocaine and had my jaw open for about an hour and was getting tired). Then the second assistant went to put the stitches in and he had to scold her and yell at her several times for not doing it correctly. Not into being a medical cadaver to practice on. Staff was unprofessional and the office equipment is a time warp back to 1984. They called a few months later to schedule a cleaning and exam I told them not to call again, I will never step foot in that place again.

Tooth extraction, filling

My wife had come to this dentistry complaining about toothache , they extracted a tooth and filled another one in she later came home that day crying from pain and couldn’t bare it anymore . The next day my daughter took her to the ER due to the pain. As we were waiting in the office while she was in pain they said they couldn’t see her until a patient didn’t show up , this generous young man offered to let my wife go before him and they shouted “ NO YOURE SCHEDULED “ . Had my wisdom teeth done. Dr. Kehew himself did the surgery without any issues, but his two assistants at times were unprofessional and somewhat rude. I was so numb from the injections I couldn't feel anything and one of the assistants kept saying "keep still, keep still" I couldn't help it I couldn't feel anything from the numbing meds I had no idea if my jaw was moving or not she said it again with a very aggressive tone in her voice, like she was annoyed as if it affected her, even though she was just standing there watching Dr. Kehew. I had to remind her that I couldn't feel anything and had no feeling of what was going on.... The second assistant went to put the stitches in and put the inspection mirror in too far and the doctor started scolding her saying "stop, stop, stop"! you're going to choke him. Then two minutes later she did something with the stitches and he yelled at her "NO NO NO, not like that"! As if the surgery isn't a little stressful never mind having the doctor scold his staff right there in the middle of your surgery while youre under the knife. I was ready to jump out of the chair and leave to have the ER stitch me up. I felt like a medical student's cadaver on the chair. Had an appointment for 1:20 pm. Got in about that time, they looked over the tooth I needed to be extracted and numbed me with Novocain, about 5-10mins for the numbing to fully take effect and after that, it was a breeze the doctor wedged the tooth loose and grabbed it with forceps and bam done. Very simple. The staff was polite. If ever need a tooth out again definitely going back to this doctor. Also great he takes my state insurance. Had an appointment for 1:20 pm. Have to go twice to get a cleaning and exam. He doesn't do both at same visit and when weather causes a need to reschedule, you'll be put on a walk-in list. He should allow a reschedule when a cancelation without 24 hr notice IS weather related.

It was taking a long time to numb my autistic son's mouth, so this dentist aborted the cavity filling after several injections of a numbing agent. Keep in mind that it was 5:30pm on a Friday night before a long holiday weekend. I wonder if it would have been cancelled on a Tuesday morning at 10:00am. So off we went with a numb mouth and no options to get his fillings taken care of. Obviously only perfect, model patients accepted here. I went here for a infected wisdom tooth that was coming out. I ended up with the same day appointment for an oral surgery. The staff was friendly. Dr. Kehwe was very nice talked me through the whole thing as I’m very afraid of needles. But I get the jaw thing someone else has said in the comments below about the jaw thing even though my surgery had healed but my jaw hurt for the longest time. Dr. Kehew has been treating me for over 20 years, he is absolutely wonderful. He is excellent and makes me feel comfortable and his work is long lasting. Also, his staff is friendly and professional.

what a mistake going to this thief!! front desk (rose) very rude ...uneducated among other things....dr never finished procedure on crown buildup ...had major complications with pins for crown he installed after even one dropping on floor then reused....then had the nerve to bill me after I had asked up front what was I responsible for !!! they told me insurance would not take care of it ...then after three way conversation with insurance and kehew office insurance scolded rose over the phone...
