Update Wishing Dr Adams OD a healthy happy retirement! Saw the closure on the website. Old Review. Very long wait first thing in the morning. Dr. Calls waiting room the living room. Staff and assistant were very nice, but the doctor was gruff and stressed. The doctor rewashed gloves instead of changing them. I was given a first appointment, but he was over an hour late. The equipment was outdated in terms of what Albuquerque has to offer. The doctor was non verbal. I was told I would be seen at the end of my appointment but the staff told me he would call me at the end of the day he didn’t. I appreciate that the staff was so helpful and great, but the doctor needs to be adequate.

We went to take our daughter to Family/Children's Eye Care on Martin Luther King and they weren't very helpful with our daughter. They kept pushing appoiment after appoiment. So we took her to Kenneth Addams and he already got her to work with him on her first day and ever since then she always corporate with him. It's sad to see Kenneth leave and wish we could've worked with him more in the future.

Courteous and friendly atmosphere. Addressed my eye health concerns directly and immediately. I felt cared for and highly regarded in the hands of staff, technical assistant Jeremy, intern, and most of all Dr. Adams. When the whole team loves their work and care for clients, their representation of Dr. Adams and the practice GLOWS! I highly recommend placing your visual health care in the hands of this practice.

I was very pleased with my association with Dr. Adams. His competence was beyond question and he quietly went about his examinations of my eyes. He also took time to get to know me and we would chat briefly on occasions. He involved me in my treatment with explanations and answering questions. I will miss my visits to his office and wish him all the best wherever he goes.

Dr. Adams is closing his office this month (Feb. 2023) and is referring patients elsewhere.

Just posting this review so we can get a clear answer why this keyboard warrior closed his practice with very little notice. Not surprised to hear his practice is closing given some of the negative reviews on here. Curious with this sudden closure whether we need to get previous concerns rechecked with a different provider.

I'm always reminded when my yearly appointment is. You and your staff are very thorough and don't do any unnecessary exams.

Staff professional and personable. Have had two appts and both times got in on time. Good experience with optical shop too.

Absolutely ridiculous...this office is unprofessional to the max...my son was seen last friday his appt was at 10:45 and didn't leave until almost 1:30...and it is not recommended to work with childrens eyes with 3 inch stoleto nails..when asking the staff for soap to wash hands he was told "that is not our job its the cleaning crews job"..read their notes wrong so didnt even know what he was there for...the assistant was so rude she left to lunch and forgot my child was in waiting room!!! I struggled with double vision for several years after experiencing a brain bleed in 2013. Finally I was sent to Dr Kenneth Adams and he prescribed prism glasses that corrected the double vision. Wonderful! Seeing with double vision is exhausting for your brain is constantly deciphering where and what you see. It Is so nice to be able to see single images again. The staff was friendly and Dr. Adams was very kind to my child as well as had things to distract her to keep her focused so that he could look at her eyes.

Everyone was very prompt and friendly and thorough. We did not have to wait long at all. The receptionist at checkout was especially sweet to my 2 year old daughter who had just gotten her eyes checked but was a little sad she didn’t need to get glasses lol she loves accessories. So she gave my daughter a disposable pair of uv sunglasses that they use for when their eyes are dilated. She also gave her a sticker. The doctor was very accommodating and explained everything. He did a very thorough exam on her and I didn’t feel rushed. It’s a long drive for us to go out there. About 50 minutes but it’s worth it to make sure my baby’s eyes are properly looked after. I really appreciated the woman at the front desk. She was very helpful and helped me find a place that would accept my insurance for frames. Dr. Adams was friendly and efficient. I found the part of the exam where you are reading letters with each eye too fast. He always does really well with my son who is disabled and he finds ways to get the exam done instead of writing my son off.

Very friendly, and explains in detail, so I completely understand.

My first time seeing Dr Adams and his staff for my Opthomologist needs; everyone was professional and friendly. My eye exam was painless, and proffessional at all times. I would certainly recommend Dr Adams to my family and friends.

All of the staff have great attitudes and kind manners. The exam was thorough, but done in a way that kept my daughters and I comfortable. The Dr explained things in an understandable way.

I was very happy to learn that Dr. Adams is again taking my insurance. The office staff moved my appointment up because I was having moderate eye itching and quite uncomfortable. He was very helpful, the wait was over 45 minutes but I took a book and the time passed quickly.

Dr. Adams is very thorough and gentle. I always feel like my eyes are in good hands with Dr. Adams.

Dr Adam and is office is wonderful. The service is great. They are kind, gentle and through. I love going there every 6 months for my exams.

All of my daughters see Dr Adams. We've always had a good experience here, from the front desk to the medical assistants everyone is very nice and makes you feel comfortable. I would recommend anybody of any age to see Dr Adams for all of their eye care needs.

Dr. Adams is not a good communicator. He didn't explain the new problem with my eyes and why I would need to use two different pairs of glasses. When I asked him a question, he gave a cocky answer. I had to see him again, about a month after my initial visit, because his first prescription did not resolve my problem. However, he didn't charge me for the second visit.
