Dr. Kendal Lee Hamann

Excellent. I saw Dr. Hamann for approximately five years, from 2010 - 2015. I found her personable; she listened well, and she helped me fine tune my pump, insulin and carb ratios as needed, and offered good advice re. my new sensor technology. We worked collaboratively, meaning she listened to me and accepted some of my struggles with compliance. I felt supported and encouraged by her understanding of me as a 50+ year diabetic. I would recommend her unconditionally to any type 1 diabetic who struggles with the relentless demands of this disease. With her help, my A1c's were usually in the mid 7 range.

Dr. Hamann is a Kaiser Endocrinologist, so there are limitations as to the testing and treatments she can provide. I did not find her particularly helpful for PCOS, and for thyroid issues it was just the standard cookie-cutter take synthroid based on inadequate testing Kaiser does. Her statement nutrition has nothing to do with thyroid function.
