Dr. Kelly Jean Larkin

Four years ago, when first diagnosed with dry eye syndrome based on presenting symptoms, the on-call ophthalmologist did everything possible to have specialist MD attend to me the very next day, a Monday and prescribed accordingly during an acute presentation of my condition,

I'm pleased the UH Health-Eye Care doctors referred me to Dr. Larkin. I had a good experience with Dr. Larkin's eye exam technicians, her admitting and discharging staff, and her attentive nurses. Dr. Larkin fully listened to me and answered all of my questions. I felt her diagnosis made sense and I am pleased with her medical prescription and directions. I'm feeling grateful.

My husbands appointment was for 2pm we did not get back to see the doctor until 3:30. The time is now 3:43 and we are still waiting to see Dr. Larkin. While the front staff has been pleasant there has been no one check in with us to ask are we ok, apologize for the tardyness of the provider. Let us know why my husband has not been seen yet. Why the hold up? Why the wait time? The wait time is e EXTREMELY long and I find it VERY disrespectful of my and my husband’s time. This is shocking and I did not expect this from Retina Consultants. I pray that he never has and issue where he will need to come here again. This comment is made in real time.

Dr Larkin is amazing and I highly recommend her but the office could use improvements. They have an online portal but good luck getting a response. Yes I can call but that is difficult to play phone tag when I am busy working. If you need an ultrasound of your eye done there then I hope your schedule is wide open because you will have to wait months then be rescheduled multiple times. I wish Dr Larkin worked at a different office so I could continue to see her.

Dr Larkin was very accommodating and thoughtful. She explained in great detail and I felt very confident in our treatment plan when I left the office. The entire staff is very professional. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Amazing staff and Dr. Larkin is such a patient, caring doctor who makes you feel comfortable and is always willing to answer all questions.

Dr. Larkin got right to the root of the problem. She was gentle, kind and very empathetic.

My daughter was diagnosed with uveitis at the age of 6 and she is now 11. Dr Larkin has been excellent! This diagnosis has at times been overwhelming but she has helped us navigate treatment/management of this disease and kept us informed of her progress, best practice and even made of aware of what potential next steps if current treatment plan fails. She has provided constant reassurance and education along the way while encircling my child with a team of competent specialist. We don't know what we would have done without her. Office and medical support staff are very friendly, professional and courteous. Dr. Larkin was awesome, wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to family and friends.

Very enjoyable experience, highly recommend Dr. Larkin and her staff.

There was a patient who came to see a different ophthalmologist at the same facility was coughing and wheezing all the time. He was with an attendant. I was wondering why was he allowed to enter this facility and risk so many people's life! The only precautions I noticed while I was entering Houston eye associates was someone was checking temperatures and allowing the patients and the attendants to use the lift one by one. My ophthalmologist and her staff was scheduled to come later and I had come about half an hour earlier. This feedback is therefore about the facilities at Houston eye associates. I must say I was apprehensive the night before my appointment, so much so I woke much to early in anticipation of this visit, however it wasn't my first visit to Houston eye Associates, but my former doctor recently retired. This was my first visit seeing Dr. Kelly Larkin . I was also apprehensive because I didn't know what to expect going into see the doctor during Covid, however to my surprise from the moment I walked in the front door my apprehension began to fade, having worked in healthcare myself it's not hard for me to recognize professionalism. I had an excellent experience . The cleanliness, friendliness, prompt service the way the staff work together I couldn't have been more pleased I won't call all of their names because I don't want to leave anyone out, I will just say that I'm very grateful for the service I received ????????
