I consulted Dr. Seagalman about a 5 cm tear in my shoulder rotator cuff. He performed a reverse shoulder replacement on my right shoulder. Six months later I have nearly complete motion in my shoulder and it is much stronger than my left shoulder. I'm back to swimming free style and back stoke.

Keith SEGALMAN is one of the best hand surgeons in the mid-Atlantic. There are not many problems he can’t solve.

Dr. Segalman has repaired both my thumbs with great results! I wouldn't trust ANYONE else with my shoulder. The MRI on my shoulder showed minor issues. Once into it, there was MAJOR problems...a short quick surgery turned into a much longer and extensive repair. The rehab is going well and although painful, it will be worth it. Dr. Segalman is a talented and experienced surgeon as well as a really nice person and physician who truly cares about his patients. I tell everyone about him and refer people who have issues to him regularly.

Avoid this doctor- especially if you have rheumatoid arthritis. Dr. Segalman performed an unnecessary surgery that made my condition worse. He failed to properly explain the procedure he was performing and left me incapacitated. Before he performed the surgery, I could use my right arm. Now, I cannot bend my elbow past a 90 degree angle, and I am in constant pain. I cannot use my dominant hand to eat. I cannot wash my face, and I cannot even put popcorn in my mouth. He ruined my quality of life. I would never trust him again. If he recommends surgery, get a second and third opinion first. Avoid this doctor- especially if you have rheumatoid arthritis. After a bad motorcycle accident resulting in several broken bones and a shattered clavicle, I went to to see Dr. Segalman in the hope he could fix me. He did, and I continue to see him as we work towards full recovery. Dr Segalman’s attention to detail is unmatched. He’s honest and straight forward. Highly recommend!

I love Dr Segalman. He has the best bedside manner. He is such a pleasure to talk to. He deals with my wrist issues. He gives you options and he's good at what he does. I recommend him. There's nothing like having a personable doctor treating you.

I have been going to see Dr. Segalman since 2004. I was in a Motorcycle accident, he had to repair tendons on my left hand. My fingers couldn't move. I could not lift them up or close them to make a fist. Dr. Segalman preformed a Tendon Transfer. He took a tendon from my ring finger on left hand...bought it up the top of the hand. Dr. Segalman then connected both index and middle finger tendons together. The three fingers all worked as a unit. They will never move separately but I have learnt how to use them with Physical Therapy. Dr. Segalman is an excellent doctor. I would definitely refer anyone to him. I've sent him a few new patients. My son and my brother. There is only one thing I will inform you about before your first visit...his bedside manor is not all warm and fuzzy. I'd still rather have a doctor that knows what he is doing instead of a doctor being all warm and friendly but doesn't really do a good job. I will always be Dr. Keith Segalman's patient. He's the BEST!

Dr Segalman is my wrist Dr. He's personable and knowledgeable. He gave me all of my options for treatment. He's just a pleasure to have as a doctor.

My son broke his finger involving the growth plate doing gymnastics. Dr. Segalman re-aligned his fingers under local anesthesia and applied casts, supplied school notes, etc. and saw to it that his use was back 100%. We are grateful and recommend him highly!

Dr. Segalman is not only an excellent doctor, but he is compassionate. He works WITH you as you go through the processes of diagnosis, treatment and follow-up. I would send my family and friends to him with the highest of recommendations.

Dr Segalman is an excellent surgeon. He has performed 2 shoulder surgeries they were difficult and both were done perfectly. He has excellent bed side manner and answers all of your questions. In addition his office staff is very friendly and they are prompt and courteous. I have referred both my mother and daughter to him for wrist and hand problems and he has taken great care of them. I wouldn't go anywhere else for my shoulders arms or hands.

This guy was a royal jerk. Disrespectful, impatient, flippant, and unsympathetic. I was referred to him as highly regarded and cannot express how damaging he was to my recovery from repetitive strain, which I finally started treating with another doctor after 6 months of humiliating interactions. Ladies, he will make it your fault if he can't "cut you open" and do a quick fix. Had no ideas but took it out on me.

Keith takes his time to understand your unique situation. He works with you to explore all your treatment options. If it comes to surgery he is simply the best. I never thought my shoulder would feel this good again. He's an amazing surgeon!

0r. Segalman is an excellent, surgeon. I had my right leg amputated and it was difficult to learn to walk again. As a result, from falls, I ruptured the ligaments in both of my wrist. I am currently recovering from my left wrist. Dr. Segalman is informative, professional, explained everything, and he is empathetic to his patients. His staff is an extension of his work ethic. Dr. Segalman's secretary Lisa is organized, professional and kind. I have referred others and would again.

My problem turned out to be non-serious. Dr. Segalman was quick to allow this, and spent no more than five minutes with me, signaling that that was quite enough (it WAS a Friday afternoon) and offering no advice and evincing minimal curiosity about my situation (a musician's finger/arm complaint which has been a primary concern for about 50 years.

Last year I shattered my elbow. Dr. Segalman did amazing work putting the elbow back together with a lot of hardware..and then this year taking out the majority of the hardware. Despite the extent of the injury, I have had a great outcome with the majority of range of motion and use of the arm restored. I've had two surgeries and many office visits, and Dr. Segalman is highly skilled, patient, answers questions thoroughly, and makes you feel at ease. I highly recommend him and this office.

Not a good communicator. He has a reputation for good surgical skills, but makes me feel like he is ready to bolt out the door when I schedule follow-up exams.

Very efficient and carefully explained reasons for recommending procedures. Very pleased so far with outcome of my wrist and elbow surgeries. Would highly recommen.

I had been told to wear braces on my hands and take pain meds by three different doctors because of arthritis. They all said there was nothing else I could do but learn to live with it. I couldn't even pick up my newborn grandson without fear of dropping him! Laura McCarthy of LB Hand in Columbia, MD recommended that I visit Dr Segalman to see what he said. I went without much hope of hearing anything different bacause my son kept urging me to go. Dr Segalman examined me, took xrays and told me he could fix my hands!! Then he did it!! Today, 10 years later, I am mostly pain free with hands that do what I ask without pain or disability! I am 71 years old so I feel that twinges of pain are to be expected. Dr. Segalman, is by far, the most amazing doctor and surgeon I have EVER met. From the minute we met, I knew I could trust him. I was 20 years old, he told me I tested positive for Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and the next options were PT or surgery. He said, if you were my daughter.. and that was what sold me. He did a fantastic job on my surgeries, he cared about all of my questions, cracked jokes with me and helped me not feel scared. Today, I am 100% cured of my TOS because of him.
