Dr. Keith Andrew Picou

I read the reviews and found that they are all very accurate. The front desk staff will make gross faces at you if you have any questions or if I accidentally miss anything. As I was leaving, an old lady in the front desk yelled at me to sign my name and gave me a mean face. Yelling at me was unnecessary as I was in front of her. I loudly told my mom that the lady “scared me,” because she really did. The front desk staff should do better and provide a positive and patient attitude because it is part of their job.

Be prepared to wait 2 hours for you scheduled appointment time. It’s ridiculous. The office aids informed me that Dr. Piccou “double books” his patients — meaning you have 2 to 3 patients with the same appointment time. The waiting room is always full with frustrated patients who just want their appointment times respected.

3 days calling and noboby is answering. I have tried both numbers, Weslaco and Mcallen. I used to go for my nose and Dr. Was nice, but in less than 2 min. Your out. Staff is rude when asking questions.

Dr. Picou is great and I've been going to him for years, but most of the staff is awful. Other than maybe 2 or 3 staff members, everyone is else is really rude and not helpful. They're bad at attending to phone calls too.

Dr. Picou is a great doctor hands-down. But as stated by too many others, the staff is absolutely useless. As a VA approved clinic, you would think that they would understand which medications the VA will approve, but sadly, they still prescribe non-supported medications. Then, when trying to get a new medication submitted, the nursing staff completely ignores the patient. This is the second time in less than 8 months that I have had a medication change, and have waited over a month for a new medication with no communication from the nurse. Be prepared to wait. Wait for an appointment sometimes months and then wait at least 2 hours to be seen. Office is disorganized and sometimes skips people in front of others regardless of scheduled appointment times. If you are one that skips then lucky you. Take your chances and roll the dice. Office staff is ok but not the friendliest and customer oriented, I mean i get it they want to go home at the end of the day. If you can schedule yourself first thing in the AM to avoid this. Knew I was driving for 3 just to make my apt and did show any empathy as to inform me before hand that my insurance would not be accepted!! When I got there they took no responsibility and only said I would have the option to pay cash, did not apologize for error because it was not their fault it was “another department!” Horrible experience drove six hours for nothing!!

Dr. Picou’s office REFUSED to send electronic/fax prescriptions for their patients. Due to COVID pandemic, we asked them to reduce their patients’ risk by not having them physically turn in prescriptions. This doctor and his staff do NOT have patients’ welfare in mind.

Retardedly slow! I had a 9am appointment and walked out at 3pm. I couldn't go lunch in the meantime and almost faint. I would rather die than going to see this idiot.

This is the worst dr.'s visit I've experienced. The office staff is terrible, rude, and inconsiderate. Front receptionist got upset at my questions and later I learned she marked me as a walk-in so I would have to wait longer, when I had an appointment scheduled. Will never be back. Nurses are rude, too.

Dr. Picou is a good Doctor, well Informative. He just needs a better staff behind him.

Dr. Picou is a great doctor but his front office staff is terrible at answering phone calls. They leave you on hold and they hang up! On top of that, they leave the office from 11-2 so it’s hard to get ahold of anyone

I was referred to Dr. Picou by my rheumatologist for a skin condition. After waiting 2 hours we gave up. The office staff was horrible! He lost several patients as we waited there. We were told he has 4-5 patients scheduled every 15 minutes!!! Don’t waste your time.
