Excellent dermatologist. I would recommend him to anyone.

I have been coming to Dr. Knoell (and bringing my elderly mother and teenage daughter to him) for ten years. I have never had a better dermatologist. I recommend him without reservation. His diagnostic skills and the efficacy of his treatment preotocols are unmatched. If you have any kind of skin issue, mild or severe, common or uncommon, Dr. Knoell will diagnose it, and fix it or send you to someone who can. He is thorough, professional, and straightforward about both his diagnosis and the scope of his practice. I love a doctor who is direct and one who is smart enough to address 98% of your issues and humble enough to send you elsewhere if necessary. I love this practice.

Dr Knoell is great, however his staff is rude and unprofessional! We always attend our appointments together because number one he is my caregiver, and number two, I point out suspicious melanoma spots on him that he can’t point out. We were refused to enter together even though six months ago during covid it was ok. They didn’t tell us this until we waited 45 minutes past our scheduled time to get in and they were very rude!

We have been seeing Dr Knoell for several years. Very impressed with him. We have to go together to appointments because I have neuropathy and he is my caregiver. Also my husband has had basal cell carcinoma and melanoma. I have to look over him and show the dr spots that I consider suspicious. In fact I pointed out melanoma on his face that required surgery. If it had not been for me talking and working with the dr a lot of this would have gone unnoticed and it would have been dangerous to my husband’s health! We went there six months ago while covid was more dangerous than it is now and we both were allowed in. However, today we went to what we thought was going to be our usual appointment. We were treated rudely by the staff! They did not notify us of a policy change beforehand and when we got there we were told by one person that they only had a room for one person. When we explained the situation she said we would have to wait a little longer for a bigger room which was fine with us. Even though our appointment was for 3;15 and at this time it was 3:50. Then when I called in because we had to wait in our car until they were ready for us the story changed. We were informed that both of us could not be in the same room at the same time because of new policies. Why didn’t they notify us before we sat and waited just to be turned down for our appointment!! We won’t be returning, dr Knoell is great, but I don’t think he has any idea how bad his staff is!

My experience as Dr. Knoell's patient has been very positive. He recently discovered a stage 0 melanoma on my face which was promptly treated. I have found him to be an excellent diagnostician, as well as patient and empathic in his approach to both the physical and emotional repercussions that may accompany a diagnosis of this nature. I highly recommend this practitioner.

Dr. Knoell has been treating me for a number of years, for fair skin, much exposed to sun in my childhood and early adulthood. I generate basal cells, squamous cells, and occasional melanomas at a rapid rate. He is very precise and confident in manner and in execution of treatment. He is conservative. When there are alternative treatments he discusses them, giving the patient as much information as the patient can process, in helping to arrive at a choice.
