I’ve been a patient with Dr. Benkov for 10 years, sadly I’ve reached the age limit for pediatrics. Dr. Benkov saved my life, and colon, after transferring from a different hospital. After his colleague left the practice Dr. Benkov took my case on at a time when he stopped taking new patients. He was very knowledgeable and established a great relationship with my family and I throughout hospital stays and office visits. He helped me in understanding my disease at a young age by recommending IBD youth summer camps. Currently he’s helping me in transferring to an adult GI. I wish I could stay with him but I’ll be in good hands with Dr. Kayal! With the help of Dr. Benkov and Dr. Khaitov, who is an outstanding surgeon, I have a better quality of life and UC free! Dr Benkov has been treating my daughter with UC since she is 6 years old. He is the best of the best and we feel blessed to have him on our side. He is smart, knowledgeable and simply a very kind and understanding Doctor.

Friendly and very attentive to my sons treatment. Definitely made sense of what was going with my son. Still a ways to go but we are on the right path now.

He made my child ,almost die.. Thanks God , she survived ???????????????? I wanted to go on court with him ,but then I just hadn’t time for it...

Has poor personal skills and fails to order the proper tests. Dismisses patients and their parents as anxious when they have real GI issues.

Dr. Keith Benkov was the fourth on the list of pediatric GIs I saw in NY. He was the ONLY one to heal my son and to take a non-textbook approach. He really spends time to get to know his patients and assess based on their individual situations. Other GIs could learn a thing or two from him. He's incredibly knowledgeable, very practical, easy to talk to - and I would recommend him to anyone! Bonus points for never having to wait more than five minutes to be seen. Lauren and Matthew H. Outstanding physician! As a parent whose child has Crohns Disease , I cannot speak highly enough of Dr. Benkov. He is extremely knowledgeable and very committed to his patients and families. He has a wonderful relationship with my son and my son feels very comfortable contacting him when he is experiencing flare ups. Crohns Disease is a challenging chronic illness to deal with and Dr. Benkov has been extremely thorough and attentive in the many years that my son has been a patient.

My son was diagnosed with Crohns Disease by Dr. Benkov when he was 6 years old and now he is 26 years old. . Dr Benkov has been an outstanding doctor in the care of my son. His excellent knowledge of Crohn’s disease has guided us through his medical care through various medications and surgery. We feel very grateful that Dr. Benkov has managed my sons care and has always been very accessible.

Having Dr. Benkov as my son Evan's doctor since he was diagnosed with Crohn's at age 14 has been a gift. He is the best medical professional AND the most wonderful human being! He is incredibly smart and knowledgeable, and he treats the whole child, not just the disease. He is warm, easy to talk to, never rushes or talks down to us, and is always inclusive in treatment planning. He's seen my son into healthy adulthood, and has become an extended member of our family along the way. Thanks Dr. B!

Dr. Benkov has treated two of my sons who have Crohn's Disease. With this difficult and challenging illness, he has proven many times to be a knowledgeable and trustworthy doctor. His experience and dedication has been instrumental in the success of my sons.

Dr. Benkov has provided the best medical care for my son who was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis at the age of 8. Dr. Benkov never kept us waiting. His approach is conservative yet he is up to date on the latest research for IBD and knows when to be aggressive with treatment. My son felt so comfortable with him which helped tremendously with the serious tenor of the disease. I've never met a physician who took so much time to address every need the patient and the parent had.

Thoughtful and thorough doctor. Cared enough to take the time to contact us to see how our son is doing after referring him to a surgical specialist. Almost never happens that a doctor chases you down to make sure your child is fine.....usually we chase down assistants, answering services, etc

Dr. Benkov is the best Doctor we ever met. My son was seen by others prior to him but was not great help. My son is his patient over 10 years and Dr. Benkov is always there for him.

This doctor only cares about money. He does not care about his patient, only if it's an easy solution. He does not go above and beyond - and for the salary that he makes, he should. A good doctor shows empathy and cares about solving the problem. He is very rude and arrogant. He couldn't figure out what was wrong with my daughter so he basically dropped us and wouldn't take my phone calls if I had a question. I would never recommend him.

Dr Benkov should not be practicing medicine. He is a cold hearted man who does not listen to terrified parents and their children's necessary medical needs.

My son has a very serious medical condition. Dr. Benkov was the dr who was recommended to put the mic-key in. He is heartless and has no feelings about what a family is going through. He would not check on our tiny baby when our son was 8 months old and ended up back in the hospital sick. He was too busy doing his rounds & his job was done. A few years later, our son's tube got infected. Dr Benkov would NOT fit our son in because it was just a little over a year & said he's a new patients

Dr Benkov saved my Daughter. I am and always be grateful to him and his staff for the care they gave my daughter and his availability. Dr Benkov was available to me day and night when my Daughter's flare was high. No other doctor provided me with that kind of service.
