After three surgeries with Dr. Murphy, I feel more than qualified to attest to her capabilities as a top-notch neurosurgeon . This, coupled with her caring and compassionate manner, made some of life’s more challenging times easier to deal with and recover from.

I had a spinal fusion in 2021 due to spondylolisthesis. I was worse off for having the surgery. I ruined my life by agreeing to have this surgery. I should have changed jobs instead of trying to fix myself so that I could stand for 12 hours on the job. I was 35 at the time of my fusion and have not been able to return to the job. Learn from my mistake. My back did not make any progress for the 12 months that I was in the care of Dr. Murphy. At my 12 month follow up I was told to take nsaids daily as my pain was due to muscles. When I got a second opinion 13 months post op it was discovered that my spine never fused and that three of my four screws were loose. I have now had surgery on L4-S1 as the L4 disc was found to be causing pain using a discogram procedure. The L4 was herniated and had loss of height before my original attempt at a fusion. Pre and post op mri confirm no change to the L4 after the first surgery. Also please learn from this mistake of mine. I should have questioned the possibility that L4 was bad as it was not normal on the mri preop. I like Dr. Murphy as a person but she did not pay attention to my symptoms and told me that my spine had fused when it had not! The bone never grew and apparently she could not determine this from office X-rays. The surgery was not a success, my spine was not stabilized, but she was afraid to admit that apparently. I wish I had never attempted fusion surgery. I should have lived with my own miserable anatomy until I could no longer walk.

warm, friendly, concerning atmosphere

ON TIME APPOINTMENT, CURTEOUS STAFF, DR Murphy was very attentive.

She is incredible and i would happily recommend Dr. Murphy to everyone

Great experience, very professional. I felt absolutely confident before surgery and sure that the surgery was a success after.

Didn't have to wait long. This was my 1st visit with doctor Murphy and I loved her. I will go back to her again.

My surgery has not happened yet, but so far, Dr Murphy has been excellent at explaining the options available, what to expect, and gives attention to details with energy and enthusiasm. Six weeks after surgery. Still impressed and pleased with being a patient of Dr Murphy

Dr. Murphy is very personable and did an excellent job at thoroughly explaining my condition and giving me options. She made me feel completely comfortable, understood and heard. She really takes her time with you and answers your questions. The staff there are also very nice.

Wonderful as always!!!

I love Dr. Murphey, she takes time to listen and talk to me. I dont feel like im being pushed out the door. She has a wonderful personality, not to mention she did a great job with my surgery. Very pleased with her and the whole staff there

Dr. Murphy is knowledgeable, genuinely concerned and a great communicator. She is willing to listen and fully understand a patient’s concerns. She is also able to explain the course of action open to the patient to resolve the issues.

I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised with my initial visit with Dr. Murphy! She was extremely thorough showed me exactly what showed from the referral test done under the Doctor whom referred me to her. I wasn't expecting to be so informed, it was really a great experience as odd as that may seem. I left feeling exactly on the same page with Dr. Murphy. Totally confident I'm getting the best!

Did not wait long. All staff I interacted with were very informative and pleasant. Dr. Murphy was very welcoming for this being the first time meeting her under a lot of pain and discomfort. She was very patient listening to all my ailments and and every response from her was easy to understand. I did not feel rushed. In fact, I felt like I was with someone who wanted to know everything to make the best decision on how to get me to continue as well as possible. I’m very optimistic and hopeful on my next visit. I highly recommend Dr. Murphy.

Dr. Murphy is truly fantastic ... she literally saved my husband's life 13 months ago when she operated to remove a large brain tumor. He has terminal brain cancer, GBM Stage IV, and her surgical skills and knowledge have helped him to live longer and with real quality. We would recommend her to anyone!

She is the best ! I love that she spends quality time with you and answers all questions I did not feel rushed my surgery went well and I’m all better thanks to dr Murphy and staff

Dr Murphy is an excellent neurosurgeon. She removed a large metastatic tumor from my brother's brain. His lung cancer had spread there. He was awake after the surgery, could move all his fingers, swallow, look at his phone, and was talking to me and seemed “with it”. His eyes were a little messed up before and it looked like she fixed that (no more drooping eyelid, both pupils the same—one had been dilated). This woman is a miracle worker. God bless her. She worked for 5 hours on this, probably working past her business hours. There was no bruising at the surgical site— she must have been gentle. Very clean and skilled work. Thank god for this doctor. Now we will have more time with my brother.

Dr. Murphy gave me my life back in 2009. I have disc replaced in C 5-C 6, and have been pain free. I have ran multiple races. I participate in CrossFit. You name it I will try it. I was 43 years old at the time of the surgery. I am forever thankful.

Dr Murphy did an excellent job repairing my discs in my back.Her communication was outstanding and I feel shes a very skilled surgeon. I highly recommend her for anyone who needs surgery. Her staff is extremely supportive and professional in their duties.

Dr Murphy gave me my life back. I had been in pain for 18 years. Had lumbar fusion and feel like a new person. She’s very smart. Can’t thank her enough.
