Dr. Katie F Farah

I waited several months to see Dr. Farah and two weeks before my appointment her office cancelled my appointment. I was told she's taking more of an administrative role. Very disappointing, you would think that she would have at least finished seeing patients that have been on her schedule.

This angel ???? saved my life twice. I have the most respect for her you can truly have for a person....

She perforated me during an ercp. Lifeflighted to UPMC to save my life. Still suffering from scarring every mon, and taking multiple meds.

We experienced medical advice that was suspect and prescribed a drug that could lead to serious complications in the future. When asking repeatedly about the long-term, negative effects of the prescription, her response was always waived off without a valid explanation. Her nurse was equally frustrating in her lack of knowledge of basic questions and accurate communication. Fortunately, we switched doctors and the drug prescribed was confirmed to have the potential for serious complications in the future. A suggestion as an alternative is to consider Cleveland Clinic. Cleveland Clinic is a world class medical institution with highly educated MDs. Your health is vital. Being your own advocate and getting a 2nd opinion is a must. Fortunately, Cleveland Clinic is the route we decided on and our earlier suspicions were confirmed. We are so pleased we switched doctors. Dr. Farah was very professional, friendly, personable and excellent in explaining my colonoscopy procedure and possible side effects. She introduced herself prior to surgery and visited afterward. One of the best doctors I've worked with, and I have dealt with dozens through extensive health issues. Highly recommended.

Dr. Farah did a procedure for me today. She was very professional and personable. I will highly recommend her. Thank you Dr. Farah, nurses Courtney, Yuvonne, Michelle, Tim and others for taking care of me!

I was the first colonoscopy appointment of the day. I had followed the prep to the letter; had a pounding headache; the staff was great; the doctor was at least one hour late. In post the doctor started with "I have bad news..." turned out that she couldn't get the scope to proceed because of anatomical problems (not her fault, clearly). Obviously wanted me to disappear as a patient. My question "what do I do next?" was met with, literally, a shrug. Not helpful at all.

I have been a patient of hers for almost 5 yrs and I think she's the best. I've had many gastroenterologist in my life and I'll stay with her as long as possicle. Her knowledge surpasses any I've seen in the past and she's nicer than you could ever expect from a physician
