Dr. Starr has been my 3 kids doctor since they were babies. I trust her and have always felt that she takes her time to listen and care for the children.

I would never ever go back to this woman. She doesn't know how to treat sick patients like humans - she just panics and runs. Streeterville review: The good: 1. Dr. Brown is great - efficient and data driven. Tells you everything you need to know. The bad: 1. The office staff are really incompetent and sometimes rude. 2. Dr. Starr seemed to be great, but she turned out to be the worst doctor on staff. She's simply talkative and takes extra time with you which makes her appear to be great. My son kept getting viruses back to back during a month stretch. Dr. Brown assured us that it's due to this weakened immune system which prompted him to catch another one. We had his 1 yr check up with Dr. Starr so we thought we should take advantage of the appointment to get him checked out since he was running a fever and we were worried of course. When we came the front receptionist took our temp and showed at a whopping 94 degrees. We laughed and said yeah thats not right. She didn't say

When we got in the room and DR. Starr came we let her know hes sick again and has a fever. She immediately started treating him as if hes some disease infested criminal. That we should have not come in the morning as their policy is to have sick kids come in the afternoons. She asked twice if the receptionist got his temperature as if its our fault for the incompetent staff. She rushed through the visit and would barely touch him. We asked for some Tylenol and they took 10 minutes to even come to administer it. She urged him to get covid tested even though he does not go to day care and is being taken care of by my mom. None of us showed any covid symptoms. Further more, they have no in house testing. Zero. If you want to get blood taken - you go to the hospital. If you want a covid test - you go to the drive through (which would have been 2 days later). They cannot offer you anything in there. We quickly changed to Northwestern Children Practice. And thank god we did! They have rapid covid testing, they have a separate entrance for sick kids, they don't treat you like you're a disease ridden rodent for showing up. They actually fulfill their duty as a doctor and take care of their patients with care. My son didn't have covid. He simply had another virus going around. The new DR was patient and made sure to run any testing he could and this was all done in house. Long story short, I'd avoid going to this practice as it'll give you more headaches than not. We often debated leaving due to the incompetent staff but we liked Dr. Brown. We're happy Dr. Starr showed us her true colors to finally make the jump.

Both of my children now teenagers, have seen Dr. Starr since birth. A truly loving and caring Doctor.

Dr. Kuo-Starr has taken care of my girls since the day they were born. My family stays with her because she’s a great pediatrician. She suggests how to solve issues without jumping into prescribing antibiotics. My teens feel comfortable enough to talk with her about any issue. We will continue to see her until Streeterville Peds can’t see us any longer.
