Katherine T Kobza

Poor communication: "no show/no call" from her for 2 scheduled phone video visits after seizures had been reported resulting in ED visits. No follow up call to find out why the video call failed. Calls to the office always go to voicemail which are not always returned. Poor response to the office portal which is supposed to be used for communication. No suggestions for options to treat refractory epilepsy. Changed physician practices and several options for treatment have been offered.

I cannot begin to express my gratefulness at finding Dr. Katherine Kobza. I have seen more than twenty neurologist and she is by far the most outstanding at listening to what you have to say, evaluating your individual situation, and putting things together to find a solution that works to make life better. It isn’t her way or the highway. She wants to know about your daily life and how what is going on with you impacts your ability to function normally. I have sent dear friends to her because I know she has the brilliance, passion, and bedside manner to make their health and lifestyle better. I give Dr. Kobza and her staff (who always promptly return phone calls I leave after the office closes) gold stars across the board!!! She did not follow through after ordering MRI or any tests.. I had to follow up, and she never called back after I was told she would. This went on for weeks. Finally, I tried to switch to a different doctor, but the staff wouldn't let me unless it was approved "in the next staff meeting." The staff was not helpful. No follow up. Turns out, I had a sleeping disorder with nocturnal seizures and needed medication to control. She was neglectful and did not have a good bedside manner. Could not trust that they would do what they said. Very disappointed.

Excellent took time to listen not just to the patient but caregiver also. She sat and spent almost an hour trying to get my wife engaged and she would also ask questions of me.

Highly recommend.

Dr Kobza has worked with me to help with my headaches and had several ideas on how to help. She was patient and I am grateful that my pain management doctor referred me to her.

Dr Kobza was very thorough and clearly understands conditions associated with the brain and vestibular systems. I would never hesitate to recommend her.

I had eeg and MRI 3 weeks ago I keep calling just for them to tell me dr kobza hasn't read my results but its in the computer waiting!

Dr Kobza was very personable and nice in the office. Sent me to have the test. I waited a week and never heard back so I called. They were to have her call me. I waited another week and finally called again. It's been 2 1/2 years and I guess I'm never going to hear back from her.

Went to see Dr. Kobza, she ordered test, result were sent to my PCP as well. My PCP indicated my number where high on several test, one in particular and that I needed to return to Dr. Kobza to have this resolved. That was 3 months ago. I called Dr. Kobza's office several times, even wrote a letter, she never called back or responded to letter, I too was ignored. In the same visit, Dr. Kobza asked me about medical equipment I currently had; She asked me to present my document to the MA and that they would sent over documentation for medical supplies. I did as Dr. Kobza had instructed. However, I was told by the insurance company certain step and procedure were required before ordering the supply needed. The insurance company called Dr. Kobza's office, and sent several letter, No response. My claim for the medical supplies were denied. Again No Response, Dr. Kobza did not and had not responded to me or the insurance company. Insurance company need documentation (my records); I am currently in appeal. In the letter I wrote to Dr. Kobza, I asked her about the practice of no response and ask the question as to "Why I always had to wait 2-3 months to obtain another visit", still no response. I was able to speak with Dr. Kobza MA who explained to me that my test results had come back, were laying on her desk and that she had not signed off on the results in order for the MA to give me those results. I chose Dr. Kobza because one of the person who answers the phones indicated she was great with her patients... I beg to differ. I will NEVER return to Dr. Kobza again. She does NOT return calls, response to correspondence, or follow through, NOT good qualities in a provider. Pay attention to each review, Dr. Kobza has a pattern trending. She doesn't appear to be someone who has the qualifications of even a "Okay" provider let alone a "Great" provider. Went to see Dr. Kobza, she ordered test, result were sent to my PCP as well. I have been bringing my daughter to Dr. Kobza for nearly 10 years now. She is always very thorough and makes sure that we understand what is happening. Probably the most important thing is that she works with us as to what treatment route we want to take.

Terrible! No follow up,,even after MRI and eeg. I had to call and ask, and only got a call to say I needed to call back. Was told that every time I called. I waited weeks after being told Dr Kobza would get back and she NEVER followed up. And was told I couldn't see another doc in the practice without her permission. Seriously, I would rather see my dog's vet. I would never recommend. Waste of time and money all the while still having health problems.

Solved a problem I've.had for years that other neurologists were aware of, but either did not empathize with my issue or did not know how to remedy. Took the time to listen and suggest alternatives. Her nurse has also been most helpful in enabling me to communicate in follow-ups.

Appointments do not feel rushed. There are rarely ever other patients waiting to be seen, so that (to me) suggests a high level of proficiency in scheduling procedures. I always get my questions answered. But, I if I call or email with a concern in between appointments, her assistant contacts me the same day. This level of responsiveness is unparalleled in the Indpls neurology space.
