Katherine Economos

Very unkind. You would do well to stay away from her.

I saw Dr. Economos many years ago but loved her...and I'm still here, 21 years later, after a diagnosis of stage 3 ovarian cancer! Dr. E was always kindly blunt; I loved her sense of humor and her willingness to carefully explain things. Note: She oversaw my chemotherapy and follow up for several years.

Dr. Economos is not one of those docs who rushes your visit. She spends time with you, making sure that she fully explains everything clearly for you to understand. (Although this does mean she is not able to see her patients on time, the wait is so very worth it). She also has a wonderful staff - they too truly care about the comfort of the patients and are thorough with their work.

I recently had surgery. I was concerned I might have a blood clot. Dr economos was the covering doctor. I had never met her. She went above and beyond to be helpful. It was the weekend and she suggested that I go to the emergency room. But first she checked to make sure that they did the test that I needed and then she alerted them to the problem soiI wouldn't have to wait so long. She asked me to call her when I got there and to have the person who did the ultrasound to call her with the result

This doctor was supposed to perform a hysterectomy on my mom and basically butchered her. She ended up with an infection, an ileostomy, and pneumonia which resulted in her spending over a month in the hospital. If that was not all, after only 2 cycles of chemo therapy and no scan or blood tests decided that there was nothing more that she could do to help her and signed her up for hospice care and sent her home to die. She told me that she gave her 3 months tops. Where is her compassion?????????

Yes you might have a wait to see Dr Economos but she is well worth the wait. Very knowledgeable and Cares about her patients. Takes the time to explain what's going on and your options. Very happy to have Dr Economos taking care of me. Her staff is very caring and helpful as well. You might not always be able to speak to Dr Economos, but her staff will always get back to you with answers.
