Dr. Katharine M Munn

This review is regarding deceptive billing practices. I had a dental implant in 2020 and was satisfied with it. Dr. Munn requested that I return in one year so that she could check it. After paying thousands of dollars for the implant, I did not expect an additional charge. (I do not have dental insurance.) When I left the office, I asked if I needed to check out at the desk and I was told that I was 'all set'. Imagine my surprise when I received a bill for $230.00 a few days later. When I called the office, I was told that there is a charge for the one year checkup. However, no one had ever mentioned it previously. The bill was reduced by 20%, but it is still almost $200.00. I would not return to this office.

This is the most efficient and pleasant office. I recently had a gum grafting procedure and Dr. Munn was wonderful. She is extremely pleasant, knowledgable and gentle. From day one I have been so impressed with the wonderful customer service I have received. From the ladies at reception to the dental assistants and esp Dr. Munn. Everyone has taken great time and care explaining the process of treatment, length of healing time and cost. Phone calls to check up on me after my procedure and see how I am feeling were greatly appreciated. I cannot day enough great things, they all really put myself at ease during my appointments. I have had several extractions and 3 implants performed by Dr. Munn. I would not consider having anyone else perform these services. In the gym I was taught "No Pain, No Gain" ! With Dr. Munn there is never any pain but there is always gain ! From my experience, she is "Painless Katharine" !!

I’ve been going to Katharine M. Munn DDS for a few years now and wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. Todays appointment was extra special. After being checked by Dr. Munn my appointment for cleaning was running late. So Racheal sat in with me to keep me company and we had a wonderful chat. She’s the best and so isn’t everybody else in that office.

Dr Munn is very pleasant and efficient. When she finds dental issues, ie, need for an implant, she discusses options and provides professional recommendations. I wish my childhood dentist had provided such a positive experience.

I was extremely impressed with her professionalism , and utmost concern for all of your needs and concerns as a patient of Katherine's. It was my first dental implant I had, and I was at total ease with her kind and friendly demeanor. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking to have implant surgery done.

Dr. Munn and her team are incredibly professional and courteous. No one really likes to go to the dentist but they make the experience calming and relaxing. I'm grateful for the excellent work they did for me and would recommend them anytime.

I have seen many periodontists and dentists over the years, and I would rank Dr. Munn among the very best of them. She is a master in her field, her exams are thorough and diligent, and she takes as much time as needed for discussion of any concerns. Her staff, including hygienist Kristen, are fantastic. Couldn't recommend this office more highly!

I had my first gum graft surgery with Dr.Munn and her staff yesterday. I was anxious because I have moderate needle phobia despite the fact that mouth injections aren't overwhelmingly painful for me in general. Dr.Munn prescribed me adequate medications for my anxiety before the procedure so I was completely relaxed yet coherent prior to arriving to her office. She was very quick and efficient in performing the procedure and she was also very gentle with the surrounding areas of my mouth. It was painless and she gave me thorough instructions to properly care for the grafted area afterwards. Her office is very sanitary (without the unpleasant smells that we would commonly associate with a dental office) and she keeps her tools hidden from view to keep patients calm prior to dental work being performed. Not to mention that her staff were very knowledgeable and comforting by not sugarcoating what the procedure would entail. If I had to get a gum graft again, I would certainly go back to Dr.Munn. Great periodontal expertise. On time, phone/ text reminders.

Dr. Munn is an excellent DDS. She is patient, explains everything & is thorough. I was terrified to have an implant done, but her competence put me at ease. I felt no pain! I don't care for the office's billing practices, but that's not her call.

My brother and sister in law both saw Dr Munn for implants. They raved about her and so I followed for two implants. I am very pleased with her professionalism and personal care. I saw a Periodontist in Worcester for a graft who claimed to be the premier guy in this specialty- fees were outrageous and he said I asked too many questions! Thrilled with Dr Munn office and highly recommend her to anyone.

I was referred to someone else but got in touch with Dr Munn by a friend who was elated by the care she received. I am thrilled to have her as my periodontist. She placed 4 implants that were absolutely painless and a lot less costly the doctor I was supposed to see. My dentist was so impressed by the results of her work that he is now referring his cases to Dr Munn. She is awesome.

Such a nice person and talented surgeon. Caring and spent alot of time answering my many questions. Ill be back for the other implant next year!
