Dr. Swann did four surgeries on my late husband (Two with Dr. Johnson, one with Dr. Vardiman)...He was so kind, understanding, and professional. I will always be grateful for the care he gave my husband....and his nurse Martha was a jewel.

In 2006 I began to have chronic neck and shoulder pain. At first I thought it could be rotator cuff injury, but a quick X-ray proved otherwise. Every now and then you get a lucky break, especially when you need it the most. Dr. Karl Swann performed a 3 level ACDF at C3,4,5,6. I really worried that my golf and my life were about to change. But Dr. Swann...he’s amazing. 15 years later I feel like new. As a routine matter I had a MRI done in 2019 to check the status of the hardware, and the Ortho Surgeon who himself is quite renowned said that “this is the best work I’ve ever seen”, with regards to the fusion, plate, screws etc. He’s the best. It’s just unbelievable. He’s blessed with remarkable hands and precision skills, and he’s just a brilliant doctor. If you’re shopping for a fusion and Dr. Swann has agreed to treat you, stop worrying and just relax. Follow the treatment plan post-op and do the work, you’ll be fine. Thank you, Dr. Swann. The surgery Karl Swann performed on me has ruined my life.

Dr Swann performed my L4-L5 Fusion and I'm amazed how great it feels to be pain free! He's such a blessing!

My husband's surgery was 10/2017 and he still can't use his left arm and his left leg is getting much weaker. Dr Swann has no bedside manner - as much trouble as my husband has had and as much destruction as Dr Swann caused, he has not even one time ever called to check on my husband. My husband, Sammy, has not had even ONE DAY of no pain, not one day of happiness, not one day of quality of life day in two years ----- Swann is not a quack, but he is not a good doctor. He said Sammy had a mini-stroke, but not one other doctor agrees with this. What happened is Swann screwed up and pinched a nerve somewhere causing all this damage --- beware of this doctor.

Not sure why this place is almost 5 stars. I can’t even call without getting hung up on.

After not hearing back from them in a week my wife left another voicemail and still NO RESPONSE. Very unprofessional. Don’t waste your time leaving a detailed voicemail for the nurse and faxing all the information they require because you will never hear back from her. Apparently they are too busy to reply.

I saw dr Swann in jan .I can not say enough good things about him and Martha his nurse .They are proffesional ,caring .I just had an amazing result .Follow up care was the best i have ever seen .I worked in Ma for 20 yrs and saw numerous dr with my clients .Dr swann his team and Martha are the very best . .Thank you Dr Swann you are a life saver . I woke up one morning and could not turn my head. I was in a lot of pain as the weekend progressed. After my Doctor ordered a MRI, I was referred to Dr. Swann. He explained the problem to me and answered all of my questions. He operated on my L5-L7. Nine years have gone by. I highly recommend him.

Dr Karl Swann did my second neck surgery and did great considering my situation. He's performed just as well as my first neck surgery in 2000 done by Dr. Youngblood, considered ad one of the best in texas at that time. But, unfortunately, he retired a few years after my surgery to spend more time with his grand and great grandchildren. And told me the he won't regret it. It was time, he said . Dr. Swann is the best surgeon in town. I had two herniated discs iny cervical spine for a long time and I was plaqued with migraines for years. He did my surgery and for the first time I woke up in the hospital with no pain. He is attentive and his nurse and staff are amazing.

Dr Swann is a A+++++++++++++++++ neurosurgeon he has done my neck surgery after a car accident and recently my L4, L5 to S1 in April 3, 2018 still recovering but in great hands, thank you Dr Swann.

After months in pain, I found out I needed a cervical fusion. I did my homework, and kept finding Dr. Swann at the top of a lot of lists. I had to travel 5 hours each time I saw him. Now that all is said and done, I can honestly say I would have traveled 15 hours to see him. From beginning to end, the experience was exceptional and the service was superb. I saw Dr. Swann as a second opinion consultation for cervical spine surgery. He was prepared for my visit, shared his opinion and took his time to answer all of my questions. His surgical opinion definitely changed the course and direction of my care. His office staff was equally professional and compassionate.

Dr. Swann has performed 2 operations on me - lumbar fusion in 2003 and cervical fusion in 2013. Both were extremely successful. He is the only doctor I would trust my spine to! My only complaint is the level of difficulty I've been experiencing trying to get an MRI scheduled or an appointment to see if I need one. I've called 3 times and no response. I know everyone is busy but really? No response even if only to say get the MRI first then we'll talk??

Dr. Swann has operated on my neck twice now and I feel great. I trust Dr. Swann immensely. He's a kind and thorough doctor.

Dr. Swann has done 2 neck surgeries on me and he was fantastic!! The surgery helped me immensely. I was not worried about letting him operate on me as he has a stellar reputation with other doctors in different fields of medicine. I have been asked by several different doctors who my surgeon was and when I told them Dr. Swann they let me know I was in good, capable hands. After recent spinal surgery I have had to communicate many times with the office. They returned my calls promptly and worked diligently to get procedures and medical equipment covered by insurance. Dr Swann, his nurse, Martha and his receptionist, Nancy have been helpful with every step of the way.

Absolutely recommend him!!!

Dr. Swann is a great doctor but his staff needs to change their attitude a lot. They lie in regards to never receiving referrals, calls, and receiving voicemails. If he had better staff it would definitely be 5 star review. They're rude, and really don't care. However, Dr Swann is a great doctor and its worth dealing with his staff. So sad.
