Dr. Karin Galliano

Dr. Galliano goes above and beyond!!! She has helped our son develop skills & confidence that he will carry forward into adulthood. Dr. Galliano's patience & commitment to helping him has meant a lot to our family. Thank you Dr. Galliano for being such an important part in our child's development and teaching him how to deal with anxiety.

Have been seeing Karin Galliano for past 3 years and find her to be professional, knowledgeable and very down to earth. Has helped me resolve the issues that brought me to her and a few we identified during our sessions.

I've been seeing Karen Galliano for years. She is amazing! I probably wouldn't be here without her. Truly listens and cares about her patients!

My first interaction with Dr Galliano was more than 20 years ago in relation to my son and ADD (one of her specialties). While it was only a few months of sessions she left a big impact on me. I found myself in a dark place a couple years ago and in a moment of clarity I knew I needed to make an appt with her. Her intuitive skills would lead thoughtful conversation to where I found myself answering my own questions. Her insistence of putting a priority on acknowledging ones own value clears the path for better self awareness. I highly recommend Dr Karin Galliano!

I was referred to Dr. Galliano by my primary care doctor. There were family issues, and my dad had recently passed away so I was a little depressed. Dr. Galliano did some testing with questionnaires and then had a session with her. She suggested I go on antidepressants. She called my primary care doctor to have him prescribe the medications as she could not. I am a part time pilot and I would have been grounded for 6 months had I gone on the antidepressants. I made it clear to Dr. Galliano that I refuse, as one of the activities that bring me joy and relaxation is flying an airplane. She would have none of that and pressed doctor to put me on the antidepressants. I told him in no uncertain terms that it was not that bad, and would not comply. I switched to a well known psychologist about 20 miles away. He looked me straight in the face after two sessions and said "I'm glad you refused the medication" you don't need it. We resolved the depression without meds.

Went to Dr. Galliano for marriage counseling as I caught my wife having an affair. She insisted on a battery of expensive tests before she would do the counseling. I felt some of the tests were unnecessary. When we finally got to the joint counselling session, I told Dr. Galliano that my wife( now ex wife) was continuing to see her lover, and that if the marriage was to be saved that would have to stop. At that point, Dr. Galliano Looked me right in the eye and said "She can see whoever she wants." Seriously? She then had the gall to tell me at the end of the session that she thought it went well. Did not return after that. My advice, do yourself a favor and find someone else in a different practice group.

Dr. Galliano has a wonderful way of communicating to her patients what they cannot see for themselves. I have known Dr. Galliano for several years (as a patient). I have found her to be most professional in listening and letting the patient find the answers they are looking for by talking them out. She has a wonderful sense of humor which adds to the patient's outlook on psychologists and how they can really help. I would not still be seeing Dr. Galliano if she wasn't 100% credible.

She has been professional and patient with me. Started seeing her for depression which in reality was mourning my loss of my husband. She has helped me regain myself and my self-confidence. She has been kind, empathetic and encouraging to me. I lost my sister (in law) recently and she was shocked as she know how close we were. Now I feel her encouraging me again. She has been heaven sent for me. Thank You Karen, if you read this.

Dr. Galliano pushed for testing and medication from the first visit on. I believe the testing is invalid, why test for ADD when I am distracted from the reason that brought me there? She pushed for medication immediately. In the waiting room in front of everybody on my third and last visit, she said I should be on medicine "to make it easier to deal with you". She said she was "done with me" if I ever attempted suicide. I am an RN with 30 yrs exp. I don't recommend her.
