Getting in touch with thus office is impossible.the workers don't follow up never return calls. I have a serious condition and they have never had my injection on time. He need to dired everyone before he lose all his patients
I had two appointments with Dr. Briggs and have never received worse care from a provider. He seemed rushed both times and his staff was largely unhelpful after I followed up because the doctor did not fulfill my prescription. Will not be back.
I don't normally write bad reviews but after three negative experiences, I felt lead to warn others about the lack of care Dr. Briggs and his staff provide to their patients. My husband saw Dr. Brigg's twice. During the first appointment, Dr. Briggs was rushed the entire time and did not answer questions thoroughly. It seemed as though he could not wait get out of the room fast enough. After the appointment, he failed to submit the prescription and when my husband called to follow-up, he was greeted by a lackluster administrator that seemed reluctant to follow up with Dr. Briggs directly. Rude is an understatement. After two follow-up phone calls spanning over a two day period, the prescription was finally filled. My forgiving husband decided to give Dr. Briggs the benefit of the doubt as everyone has their off days and scheduled a follow up appointment for the next month. Unfortunately, my husband was met with a very similar experience from both Dr. Briggs and his staff. When we requested to switch healthcare providers, the administrator expressed that it is not in their business model of success to allow long-standing patients to switch providers (my husband is not a long-standing patient). I simply replied "shouldn't your business model be focused on the success of the patients and providing quality care?" At that point it was evident I was speaking to a blank wall and expressed that she she would be happy to know that we would be taking our "business" elsewhere. As an ICU nurse, I would stay far, far away. I am a cardiologist and have no financial or partnership affiliations with Dr, Briggs, his office or any associated health system. My family was recently seen by Dr Briggs and on multiple levels he is first class. He is a nice and very easy to talk to physician which is quite important. Patients do not have to tolerate uncommunicative or unpleasant physicians "because they are good doctors'. That is nonsense and there are many great docs who are nice people. Do not make excuses, find someone that you can talk to. Dr. Briggs is also an excellent clinician and he treated my family ( and helped me personally as well with an issue). I practiced for 4 decades until an MVA ended my career but I can clearly discern the quality of physicians. In addition, I made some calls before the visit to colleagues and industry people who have sent him many patients to vette his clinical work. Bottom line- both thru the medical "grapevine" which is more accurate than patients can see, and my own experience- this is a first rate doc and a nice person. This is a doctor who treats other doctors and their families. That is a good a review as I can offer. I don't normally leave reviews, but the patient experience and follow-up here is so abhorrent I feel compelled to. I had an appointment and Dr. Briggs was supposed to follow up and give me a referral. Didn't do it. I called and, even in the middle of the afternoon, nobody answers. Left a detailed message with my contact info and exactly what I needed. Nobody did anything. Tried calling several more times. Impossible to get anyone to answer the phone. No patient portal for messaging. Just a terribly run practice. I don't normally leave reviews, but the patient experience and follow-up here is so abhorrent I feel compelled to. I do not usually post reviews but Dr. Russell Briggs and his staff have gone out of their way to help me with some sinus trouble I had after having Covid five months ago. I would highly recommend him and his staff for how knowledgeable and friendly they are. I have always gone to the Bee Caves location.
Left phone calls for 2 months to schedule tonsillectomy. This should have been my first red flag. Post-op I ran into a lot of complications. Coughing up blood, fever back to back, severe pain, lack of sleep. I tried to get in touch with them several times. No answer, so I had to just show up to the office. Problems still persist and they didn’t offer any help. They said “that’s normal after surgery”. Don’t come here unless you want to be in pain for weeks. Dr Briggs is fantastic. Very knowledgeable and prompt response time. Deeply cares about his patients.
Best ENT I've been to. I went to Dr. Briggs for a tonsillectomy because I was having recurring tonsillitis. A tonsillectomy has one of the most painful recoveries no matter who your doctor is. It was a difficult healing process but I am thrilled that I went through with the surgery. I am fully recovered and no longer experiencing any issues with strep/tonsillitis. Not too impressed, had appt for yesterday at 3PM and the receptionist said I did not have an appt, later I found the card where they set up my appt , not a happy camper!
I love Dr. Stierman! Very friendly and warm and takes the time to answer my questions. Her clinic runs on time, even for telemedicine appointments.
I had a really bad earwax blockage in my ears and just had them cleaned out by Dr. Steirman. It was the first time I had ever had this procedure done. I was a little anxious at first but Dr. Steirman and her tech were wonderful! The entire procedure took all of 5 minutes and was completely painless! Thank you so much, Dr. Steirman! :)

Dr.Briggs has helped not only me but by daughter as well. Went in to get a couple small issues looked at and he gave me a game plan on what would help. Day 38 of trying to schedule a surgery appointment
Dr Briggs has been fantastic & scheduling has been very easy for all of my appointments so far!
I think Dr. Stierman herself is likely a perfectly competent doctor. However, her administrative staff has been subpar at almost every single interaction I’ve had with them. The biggie was the surgery coordinator who has failed to call me back multiple times, failed to work with my insurance, and so completely dropped the ball for 2 years (!) that I’ve given up and will be doing deviated septum surgery with another ENT. I’m only still dealing with this office to complete my course of allergy drops. And they’ve bungled every single one of the interactions necessary to continue my supply of drops. Unanswered voicemails, overcharges, an online ordering system that does not work, rude and incompetent phone staff. I think Dr. Stierman herself is likely a perfectly competent doctor. Not toddler or baby friendly. My two year old was straight up throwing their promotional materials, rolling on the floor, bothering other patients, and screaming in the waiting room. I asked the front desk to move us to an exam room 3 times as I tried to finagle paperwork and a screaming kid. They wouldn’t. I eventually walked out. I love dr.stierman. She has been my doctor for 18 years. Everytime I have a severe sinus infection, I go to her.
Dr. Stierman is knowledgeable, friendly, & super helpful. She is all about helping me feel better! I have suffered with allergies and sinus issues(chronic sinus infections) for many years. I highly recommend!
Dr Stierman is the most caring doctor that I have ever worked with. Her compassion is reflected in how well she works with her patients to resolve their ear, nose and throat issues. I have been a patient of hers for over 10 years and refer my friends and family to her regularly. She is a lifesaver, the best.

Dr. Stierman is good. However, her support team is not. I got charged for a procedure that was not done. I tried to inquire at my last visit and was told I would have to speak to someone in billing. Out of 4 people at the front desk, no one could help and billing was not available. I called 2 additional times and left messages with my info and issue. No one from billing was available to help and no one returned my call. I drove to their office in Westlake 3 additional times to speak with someone. Same result. Something has happened here! Went here without issues four years ago...but now...a horribly unhappy atmosphere. You can hear them griping at each other from the waiting area. Finally called to the room and waited there for one hour, all the while listening to them critique each other. If I could give 0 stars I would. I went here last year to get some cysts in my sinuses checked out. I was told I also have a deviated septum and would require surgery. I wasnt given any alternative options and being that I heard good things about this practice, I just went with it. I had the surgery and it is my biggest regret ever. I was told that everything went great and I should start seeing improvements soon. 3 months after surgery I had a follow up ct scan which showed that my septum was still deviated. I still have difficulty breathing and honestly feel like the surgery made it worse. My nose is constantly running. If I could go back and choose a different route/practice I most definitely would. The staff has caused us to seek another office ~ over 2 weeks waiting to schedule a Biopsy & Tonsillectomy is far too long. Have left 3 messages with the ladies at the front desk, who won't let me speak to the surgery coordinator, so this is the only way I can let them know how disappointed I am. I have no desire for my son to continue seeing Dr. Briggs if a biopsy isn't a priority for them. Update: This was over 3 months ago - Still have never been contacted by the office to schedule or follow-up in any way. My daughter had a surgery a few years ago and Dr. Stierman and office "couldn't remember" what procedure they actually performed on my, then, 3 year old. Fast forward to now and my daughter is having the same issues, so I decided to see Dr. Stierman again because she knew the patient and her history. It is so refreshing to go to a doctor's office, be greeted by a friendly staff, seen by the doctor not only on time but a little early, list off the issues that I have and really feel like I'm heard, be taken care of by a doctor who is smart and efficient and then leave feeling better. I can not recommend Dr Briggs highly enough.
Really don’t know where the poor reviews come from - my husband and I have been coming to Dr. Briggs for years now and never had an issue. I always find we can get in quickly, and Dr. Briggs is always very helpful and patient. All the staff in the office are kind and willing to do what it takes to get you feeling better.
Dr Russell Briggs is without question the best ENT in Central Texas, and I know, I tried 'em all before discovering him. There was a time I had constant issues with my left ear and had tried many ENT's with ABSOLUTELY NO SUCCESS. I worked and slept with a migraine headache due to a sinus issue. I worked with many an ENT: some tried balloon sinuplasty, some nasal surgery, even tubes, all of which failed. I made an appointment with Russell because he was about the only ENT I hadn't tried and he came highly recommended... from another ENT. He ran a scope up my nose, succinctly informed me I had severly damaged the cartilage in my left Eustachian tube, it was entirely obstructed, and until it was opened, I would always have the massive infection in my mastoid and appurtenant migraine. Here's where he departed from all the others. He informed of a then experimental procedure he'd read about called Eustachian Tuboplasty. It had just come to the US. At the time, there were only 4 facilities in the US performing the procedure. Without ego or hesitation, he gave me the names, Mayo Clinic, Harvard, UC Berkeley and a facility in Wichita Kansas. I opted for the the Wichita Doctor, because he could get me in fastest. The procedure completely cured the issue (Dr. Briggs now performs the procedure). Due to martial arts injuries and other stupid stuff I do, I find myself in Dr. Briggs offices frequently for repair. HE HAS NEVER FAILED ME! Without question, the best ENT in Central Texas! I have been going to her for years based on the recommendation of my family doctor. She has an excellent knowledge of this area of medicine, is kind and unlike some doctors you know what is happening to you when you leave.
I never got to see the doctor. My husband has used the physicians in this practice before and he recommended them. My entire life I’ve have a extensive history of ear problems, i.e. mastoidectomy, myringotomy&tubes more times than I can count, ruptured eardrums, etc. I called to make an appointment because I have had a cold and I lost my hearing, in both ears, and now one has had sharp pain and fluid coming out. I explained this to the receptionist, not the doctor or nurse, who said it wasn’t an emergency and they could get me an appointment on Friday. No thank you!

They force you to book online through zocdoc (after wasting time listening to a lengthy recorded message). Then, you go online and pick an available appointment and waste tons more time completing information and submitting. Then, the next day or later, they call you to say that time really wasn’t available and shame on you for trusting the online booking program they required you to use. Definitely not worth the hassle or waste of time when you can just call another office and quickly book an appointment over the phone! Reply to Owner's response: The excuse provided is that insurance has to be confirmed. I am an existing patient with my insurance on file, so this is simply not true. No insurance verification was necessary to make an appointment. Further, as they quote, the voicemail directs you online in order to make an appointment. It says to leave a voicemail "otherwise", meaning for a reason other than making an appointment. *** BEWARE OF THE DEBRIDEMENT PROCEDURE! *** Dr. Stierman is great at her job however, I became extremely frustrated at the lack of transparency with the debridement follow up appointments after my recent surgery. At the time of attendance of my two scheduled follow ups, I was told there would be no copay and that all I needed to do was consent to the exam. I was also told that it would only be her looking at my nose with a scope and removing excess tissue. I agreed and to my surprise, a month later I am hit with two ~ $500 bills as it is billed as SURGICAL PROCEDURES to insurance companies even though it is a 2-5 minute exam of your nostrils. Many insurance companies do not cover this procedure and it became quite apparent that the office was aware of this when I brought this to the billing department's attention. Upon contacting my insurance company and state governing agency I was met with surprise and told that it is common practice for ents, surgeons, dentist, etc to disclose similar fees ahead of time. THIS WAS NOT DONE FOR ME AS IT HAD BEEN FOR ALL OF MY PREVIOUS VISITS AND SURGERIES WITH THIS OFFICE. After discussing this with the office manager I was told I should pay better attention, even though we previously adhered to a system of disclosing potential costs before visits, and that I should stop the process before I even get my nostrils sprayed to enlarge them to avoid the charge - then repeatedly state "no debridement " each visit. The next visit I attended the technician almost sprayed my nostrils again even after I told him I did not want to be charged insisting that it was no charge to me. I had him go check then he abruptly apologized for his error, luckily saving me a third $500 charge. Today while in the office for allergy shots I was stunned to hear this process repeated with two individuals who just had surgery in the span of 15 MINUTES. Upon the patients checking in, the representatives at the desk stated "All the doctor will do is stick a scope up your nose and look around, there's no copay, just sign here to consent". No mention of surgery coding, no discussion of potential fees, insurance coverage or lack there of - swindling people out of their hard earned money for a 2-5 minute look at their nose. BLATANT DISHONESTY THROUGH OMISSION. I was disgusted to hear this repeatedly with a cheerful unassuming voice and almost had the nerve to tell the other patients what they were in for. Instead I have chosen to write this review so that others do not end up in a similar situation and to hold Dr. Stierman's practice accountable. I will no longer do business with offices that practice shady business tactics like this. *** BEWARE OF THE DEBRIDEMENT PROCEDURE! *** Dr. Stierman is great at her job however, I became extremely frustrated at the lack of transparency with the debridement follow up appointments after my recent surgery. Dr Stierman seems like a nice person but as soon as my ears were cleaned she wouldn't give me a few more minutes to discuss my concerns. He is exceptional in his field, understanding (he listens!) and compassionate (addresses my emotions & feelings of vulnerability regarding my health issues). This is the worst place ever they dont answer the phone and do not return phone calls. If you have any major issues that will be more than a one time visit I do not recommend this office at all because they are not responsive or accommodating at all.
I was a patient of Dr. Briggs for 5 months. I would go into his office crying, in pain, and he would just look at me and say that time will take care of it. Nothing that he can do. After suffering for many years with Upper Respiratory infections and Bronchitis, Dr. Stierman and her staff diagnosed me with having Allergies which no other doctor would test the allergens on me. They would only do the skin test which showed negative. I can't even begin to imagine all the cost of going to other doctors and the cost of over the counter RX as well as the Prescription meds I have bought over the years that never worked for me.
