Doctor was extremely unprofessional, scatter-brained (which was troublesome), and had terrible bed-side manner. I'm shocked at how bad a simple exam could have been conducted.

With Dr. Skidmore it was fine last time I was there, but she's got an annoying answering/screening service now that was a pain. I told the women I was a patient, but she wanted every single bit of info as if I was new. Then she proceeded to give me the address. I pointed out again that I was already a patient. Then she said that she wanted to be sure she sent the information to the right doctor. Then she said she'd connect me with the doctor's office but gave me the direct number just in case I got disconnected. Then I once again had to wait. I got disconnected all right. I hung up. I was so annoyed by the pointless screening process. It was ridiculous. I'll look for a different doctor.

The staff and her are awesome. She's been keeping me on my feet.

Last year, I had a problem with ingrown toenail and fungus and my insurance sent me to Dr Kirk Sharris. Unfortunately he removed my nail and recommended I use an outdated topical treatment for my toenail. He was also extremely rough with my foot. The nail grew back even more ingrown and the fungus was worse! I just saw Karen Skidmore DPM who was horrified at the treatment I had received from Dr Sharris. She would never remove a nail for fungus. She trimmed my nail and was extremely gentle. I’m sorry I went to the wrong doctor last year but I feel I’m in good hands now. Poulsbo is so blessed to have such a caring healing podiatrist as Dr Skidmore! Highly recommend her practice. ????❤️???? He is amazingly caring. I felt like I mattered

My experience with Dr. Skidmore over the last 10+ years has been excellent. She clearly listens to my concerns and has helped me tremendously. I first saw her when I was in extreme pain after a foot surgery and I was unable to see that surgeon. She helped me on the 4th of July weekend after several days of terrible pain. She continues to help me with a medley of issues. I find her to be one of the best doctors in Kitsap county these days, which is a rarity.

Dr. Skidmore is a very kind individual. After being told by my regular doctor that what I was calling ingrown toenails, weren't ingrown, the pain became so intense that closed shoes, socks, blankets were tortuous. I finally went to Dr. Skidmore. What a jewel! I no longer have any pain from either toe after the procedure. I would use Dr. Skidmore as my regular doctor if allowed. My husband Dan went in to have a ingrown toenail surgically removed. Dr. Skidmore and all of her staff, right down to her person in training, Vanessa, were fantastic and very professional and I give all of them a five star. All of their staff were very positive and laughed a lot making their procedure a more pleasant experience. I will recommend all of my family and friends to go to this doctor. This Dr. does not listen to patients. She does however threaten you do this or leave. Unfortunately some people are forced to see her due to their insurance not being accepted by most real doctors. It is obvious she take this insurance because she needs the business. Also, she has a dog running around the office. Not very sanitary.

She doesn't listen. She trimmed my nails without asking and then proceeded to cut one toe. An overall bad experience.

Dr. Skidmore just got 5 stars from me. Had ingrown toenails removed from big toe today. I had had the same procedure done 30yrs. ago on same toe and the experience was horrific.
